Chapter 2

As we entered the throne room I noticed that the room was decorated much the same way his room in his version of Hyrule Castle. It was black and red with a little gold added into the mix. While we continued our way inside I noticed Nabooru was glancing around nervously as if something or someone was about to attack out of nowhere.

"Nabooru, what is wrong?" I asked as I peered into the shadows surrounding us.

"It's too quiet, there's always at least some form of noise in here." she stated while going into a battle stance.

I stopped in my tracks and strained my ears trying to locate anyone else since it too dark to see. I eventually heard the clanking of metal and heavy boots hitting stone. I closed my eyes and turned my head towards the sound. Every time it would change direction my head followed, until finally it stopped just a few feet in front of me.

"Lord Ganondorf I presume? If you would be so kind to relight the braziers, I have a message to give you." I stated after going back into my military posture.

"Hahaha...You have the senses of a demon. Nabooru I'm disappointed in you, a mere outsider was able to detect my presence, yet you could not..."

"My apologies, my lord." she said with a bow.

Ganondorf relight the braziers before returning his attention to me. "The scroll if you please."

It was more of a command than a statement, but I wasn't about to test my luck this early in the 'game'. I quickly handed over the said document and waited patiently for his reaction. Within seconds of reading it I saw his eyes flash from bewilderment to great amusement. That was when I knew the goddess added a little twist to her 'tiny' favor.

"Do you have any idea what this says?" he asked with a smirk.

"I do not read what is not mine unless the owner has given me permission." I replied

Ganondorf handed me back the scroll "Then I give you permission to read it. 'Dragoness'."

I eyed him carefully after that last statement and quickly scanned the document. "'To The Dark King, I suppose you're wondering who the strangely dressed female is right? Well to put it bluntly she is from another world where we do not exist. She is strong, stubborn, and independent. But she can also be kind when she feels like it. Much like a dragon no? Anyway to get to the point this woman is my gift to you, use her abilities as you see fit. Sincerely, Din.'"

By the time I was finished reading my right eye was twitching and my knuckles were turning white from anger. I quickly took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"I'm going to kill that woman." I mumbled but apparently Ganondorf heard it, because a dark grin spread across his face.

"Come now 'my' pet it can't be all that bad?" Stated the Dark King.

I sighed and shook my head deep down I knew I wasn't going to enjoy this.
