I do not own World of Warcraft, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
The Troll that saved me.
It was five years ago that it started. My name is Tilla and I was still just a child at the time, just past my 15th summer. It was terrible. My parents were dead and I was sure I was about to follow. I still don’t understand. Why did my parents bring me there? WHY?! They weren’t fighters. They shouldn’t have come to enemy lands. And why did they bring me? I was in what I think they called Durotar, hiding from some sort of pig creature... quillbore I think they’re called, that had killed my parents. They lay not ten feet from my hiding place, covered in blood. I’ll never forget that horrid scene.
I tried not to cry. They’d find me if I cried. I already stuck out against the brown stones. My purple skin and short white hair made it inevitable that I’d be found. If I cried though, there would be no hope at all for me.
I could hear them... Looking for me... Getting closer... what should I do? What could I do... They turned a corner and I was spotted. “Oh elune...” I gasped.
One of those horrid creatures raised his crossbow and took aim at me. I was staring right at the instrument of my death. I closed my eyes, awaiting the end.
I heard the horrid creature squeal and I opened my eyes in time to see the second rock smack the creature in the skull. It squealed again and ran. More rocks flew at the other creatures. They ran from the barrage. A troll came into my view, throwing rocks at the creatures.
The Troll had soft features, short blue fur, and short blonde hair. The troll appeared to be female from the features and short tusks, but it crouched and hunched like a male. It didn’t seem any older than I was. It turned towards me, green eyes staring straight at me. Seeming to be surprised that the one it saved was a night elf. Its eyes then fell to the bodies of my parents. Its eyebrows raised slightly then it turned back to me.
I screamed and squeezed harder against the rock. I felt myself being pulled away from the rocks. I tried to pull away but the troll’s grip was strong. It pulled me away from the home of those horrid creatures.
“Let go of me!” I cried. It didn’t stop pulling me until we were away and hidden from the sight of any passer bys. Then I was released. I looked up at it. It crouched before me, seeming to be studying me, as if it had never seen a night elf before. Perhaps it hadn’t. I was terrified. I tried to run, but it blocked my escape. It didn’t attack me, it wasn’t rough. It seemed more curious than anything else. I was sure though that it was going to kill me. The next thing I knew was its hands were on me, starting at my feet and moving up my legs. I screamed again, and it moved away. I stared at it. It stared back before moving to me again and its hands were on me again. This time it was slower, its eyes lock with mine, attempting not to frighten me I think. It didn’t work. I started to cry, trying to move away from it. This time it didn’t stop. Partway up my leg, I felt a sharp pain when it touched me.
I thought it had stabbed me, but I soon realized it had been an injury from the creatures. It tended my leg gently. I realized then it was searching me for injury so it could help me.
I was confused. I was scared. I was in pain. I fainted.

Yup, you guessed it. He's a boy.
