At Castle Oblivion
Axel took Roxas into the bathroom, where he ran the water in the sink and searched for a clean towel.
Splashing his face with water, # 13 glanced at the mirror, noticing Axel standing next to him, towel in hand.
“Axel?”
“Hmm?”
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
“We’re friends.”
“We are?” Roxas said, his voice saddening.
“Of course!” # 8 exclaimed, draping an arm around # 13’s shoulder.
Roxas turned into Axel’s outstretched arm and said against the redhead’s chest,
“I’m glad.”
# 8 smiled to himself as he noticed their reflection, seeing how comfortable Roxas looked.
“Roxas?”
“Yeah, Axel?” the young nobody responded, closing his eyes as he breathed in the redhead’s scent.
“Let’s go back,” # 8 said softly, his words almost fading.
“Back where?” Roxas asked happily.
“To the kitchen,” Axel answered, “Where else?”
Grinning, # 13 took a step back, separating himself from his friend.

In the kitchen, Roxas flung open the refrigerator door while Axel raided cupboards, searching for something that wasn’t rotten.
“Didn’t Saïx go grocery shopping yesterday?” # 13 wondered out loud, turning to his friend.
“No,” the redhead replied, “He went shopping a week ago.”
“Really?” It’s already been a week?” Roxas asked.
“Yeah,” Axel agreed, “Time flies”
Finding no food, the two left the kitchen in search of something better to do.
“What do you feel like doing?” # 13 asked, sitting next to Axel on the couch.
“Wanna find some Heartless?” # 8 suggested, head resting on his hand.
“Sure,” Roxas said, clearly bored out of his mind.
