Link's True Quest

What to do... Where is there left to look? Almost half his life Link has been looking for Marin, and only a year ago did he find out why. Maybe if he were faster, he might be able to find something. He did have a horse, but he returned her to Malon years ago.
Malon! She owns a ranch now. He could get a horse from her. They have been great friends ever since Link left Kokiri, so she may let him have a horse.

"I started up my own ranch. The only thing I have from my dad's ranch is Epona and a couple of cows. He took everything else and went traveling as a merchant." "Sure."
"Ok. I'll go and get Razor."
She unlocked Jin's gate and let him outside. Link went with Jin, while Malon went elsewhere.

Link brought Jin back to his stall. "I will definitely be taking you with me tomorrow, Jin. Good night, fine stallion." Then he left to the guest house, and went to bed.

Link was restless. He just couldn't get any sleep. He didn't know what was bothering him so badly, either. He needed fresh air, probably. Link went to the barn to see if Jin was still awake. Just as he thought, he was. The horse was just as restless as him. Link silently unlocked the stall, and brought Jin out. "Wanna go for a ride, Jin?" "Bale can't make dreams for one person. He has to use more. Marin could have been another dreamer, like you, especially on how real she was."

"About the horse, Link. Jin is yours, free of charge. Take him and go find your love, Link."
"Thank you, Malon. I am so grateful we're friends. Until next time..." Link left. He went and got Jin out of his stall, into the fields, and galloped off.
