Song 2: The Ace
A/n: first of all, I know the next 5-6 chapter are so-so because they wre typed and posted on another site awhile back. THis is just to keep a steady flow of my work. Sorr for the interuption.
The Ace
“So Ivo, are you going to continue?” Challenged the crimson eyed hedgehog. He eyes seemed to send out a force which cornered the man sitting across from him. The human stroked his large, red haired mustache while holding his cards. He eyed the hedgehog, who stared back, challenging the man to continue.
“Come on Ivo, place your bet. Or can you already tell I have one?” Ivo looked down at his chips. He had a few thousand left, but most of his money was already in the pot. The hedgehog seemed to have called the shot through the whole game.
Other people were in this a few deals ago, but most of them had quit, after losing most of their money to Ivo. However, the hedgehog kept his chips, one a game or two and had the exact same amount now as when he started the game. This challenger, this hedgehog, had not even mentioned his name.
Ivo looked again at his stack and then looked at the hedgehogs. The black creature had a mere 100 left while he still had his thousands. “I’ll call” Ivo finally said, “I don’t need to finish you too quickly.”
After a small pause, all the bystanders slowly turned to the daring hedgehog, “Good Choice Ivo.”
“I hold four Kings, how can you beat that!?” Shouted the bald man. His large size shifted as he slammed his cards on the table face up. There were four kings and one jack. The kings were pictures of Ivo with a crown on. The two jack was the silver robo-Sonic.
Shadow looked at the hand with a look of surprise. He looked up to Ivo, but his face twisted back into confidence. “Well, what have you got?” Ivo challenged. He revealed his hand by placing them on the table. “First, the Ace of Hearts. The second, the Ace of clubs. The third, the Ace of Diamonds. The fourth, two of clubs. But the last is a Ace of Spades.”
“Wha...WHAT!?” Ivo screeched as the hedgehog revealed his hand.
“Well, doctor, are you gonna quit now?”
“I...I know who you are.....You’re that gambling punk......” Ivo said with a sudden rush of fear.
“What!?” Shouted one of the people who lost the game, “This is that guy ‘Ace?”
“Yeah, and I don’t play house rules.” Said “Ace” standing up, “I play by my rules.” He pulled a gun from his coat pocket. “Good bye doctor, and good game.” He pulled the trigger and blood splattered the floor. He then turned to the frozen crowd and picked out the loud mouth who called him ‘Ace.’
“Hey there, ya dumb fuck. The name is Shadow!” He pulled the trigger and a bullet exploded from the pistol. The crowd began to run except that one man, who stared, as if in a mix of awe and shock. Muscle, and tissue mixed in blood were sprayed across the wall behind him. A few teeth were scattered along the floor. Chairs were broken where the spectators had thrown them in their rush.Shadow looked around him and then looked at his watch. “What a boring night.”
He walked out of the room into the main hallway. He came to the front entrance, which was almost a mile from the poker room. Shadow wore a hat and a long over coat, so that no one would recognized him. “Hey, mac.” He whispered to the guard. The enormous guard stooped down to Shadow. He saw dark fire in the hedgehog’s eyes as he said, “Clean up that poker room, it was a mess when I last saw it.”
The guard replied, “I am not the maid.” as he opened the door and let Shadow leave. Shadow stepped through the passage laughing and then said, “It seems like your kind of clean up.”
The guard saw Shadow lean against a post outside, appearing to wait for the bus. He closed the door and went through the corridor to investigate the room. He travelled the seemingly endless maze until finally reaching his destination. He peered in to see the gory scene Shadow had created. The guard screamed, and mindlessly ran back to the front to kill the black hedgehog.
He quickly threw open the metallic door after releasing the locks on it. Shadow was now looking at the guard who emerged from the old, dilapidated building. “It is the kind of thing you should handle, right?” The hedgehog said in a voice that screamed “I DID IT!”
“You...little bastard.” He managed to gasp out, suddenly feeling the strength lost from his run, and anger release.
“And what are you gonna do about it?”
“I’m...gonna....KILL YOU!” He ran foward after the shorter hedgehog who countered by jumping up, onto the post he leaned against. The large man stopped before running into the post, but began to shake the post violently to push him down.
The black hedgehog jumped comically onto the man’s head. The guard turned around in time to see the black streak run up the buildings wall. He stopped at the top, and turned to the guard. He looked again at his watch and yelled to the guard, “I don’t have time for you.” While he spun a emerald from his pocket on his index finger. “Farewell...” He said, disappearing in a flash of green light.

I like this chapter a lot, and I think I did well after my vacation. Anyway, get ready, cause now I'm back!
