Nobodies
“You two play fair now. Keep it clean or you will be declared the loser.” The proctor said. Sora grabbed a struggle stick from the proctor as did the other boy.
It wasn’t that hard to get pass the preliminaries, he defeated Ansem and probably could take a few kids with a chip on their shoulders. The only reason that he was doing this was because he had slept, and managed to forget everything. Judging by his clothes and how much shorter they had gotten he had been asleep for something more then a small nap. Before his leggings came down past his shins now they were above his knees. “Kid, you new here? I haven’t seen you before.” The boy with light brown hair said, he wore a vest and a black shirt with camouflage pants.
“I guess that you can say that.” Sora said taking hold of the struggle stick in both of his hands. “Shouldn’t we get down to business?” With that the boy charged and swung. Sora lifted the struggle stick and blocked three of his attacks before throwing him back.
The boy stumbled and Sora ran forward, in a swift motion the struggle stick connected with his stomach causing him to lurch forward and drop ten orbs. Sora picked them all up in a flash and was astonished when the boy got back up. “I am not done yet.” He charged and leapt, still Sora blocked without a problem and threw the boy back again.
‘I’m stronger then I remember.’ Sora thought as he dropped his struggle stick. “I quit. Got things to do you know.” With that Sora leapt off of the stage and walked over to where Larxene sat.
“Hey, kid.” Sora turned around and found the brown haired boy charging up at him. “Name’s Hayner.”
“This kid just beat you down Hayner.” A large boy called off. He had a large red shirt covering his gut. On it said dog street and his hair was black and eyes were a dark brown. Another girl came up, she had messy brown hair and she was petite with an long orange dress and tanned cargo pants. While she was small and looked a little fragile she held something in her eyes that Sora couldn’t place.
“Hey, what’s your name?” She asked.
“Sora, yours is…”
“Hayner, Pence and Ollete.” The three of them stated proudly. “If you ever get bored, just come to our spot in the back ally, we usually have something to do in this town.” Ollete offered with a cute smile. For a second and only a second Sora thought he saw a hint of lust in her eyes, but dismissed the thought as he said goodbye and went over to Larxene.
“That was…semi-mature of you.” Larxene stated with an impish smile. “And don’t think that I didn’t catch that little look that she gave you or the flirting that went on between you.”
“SEMI!” Sora faked shocked and let his jaw hang. “There is just no impressing certain people…come on.” Sora paused for a second. “She was flirting…god what was Kairi doing all those years then? Oh, fuck I am so stupid.”
“I don’t think that I really want to know what you are referring to. Where might we be going oh great one?” Larxene asked. “You really can’t have much to go on. So far, all you have done is knock some poor kid around.”
“That’s easy, we’re going to find Riku and King Mickey.” Sora then hung his head. “Donald and Goofy wanted to find the king…because he was precious to them…I want to find him and tell him that Donald and Goofy won’t be around anymore.”
Larxene understood his meaning. Sora felt that he was responsible, perhaps he thought that if he was stronger he would have been able to beat Vexen and none of this would have ever of happened. It didn’t really matter to Larxene, all that mattered was making him feel whole again. “Anyone else that you want to find?”
“There is a girl…but I know where she is.” Sora said perking up and summoning the keyblade in his right hand. “I don’t want to see her until I have found Riku though.” Sora then pulled off the current key chain and slapped on the one that Kairi had given him. Sora smiled as it became more like a silver sword. “Besides, we have a lot of places to go and people to see, it could make our search for them a little less broad if we ask them about the King and Riku.”
“Or we could find one of those guys right now.” She said pointing up to the top of the building. On top was a mouse in a black cloak, his ears were round and he looked directly at Harry. Immediately he threw down a small pouch and Sora caught it immediately. Sora opened it up and inside was a piece of paper, a blue orb and a lot of Munny.
Come to the train station as soon as possible. If you have any questions then asked the people that you have just met. Do not worry about Donald and Goofy…it wasn’t your fault.
Sora felt himself slowly loosing his breath. It all flashbacked, Vexen’s cruelty, the hard shots that he took, Goofy’s stab wound and Donald’s death. The floor seemed to disappear underneath him as he shot into the darkness. Sora felt surrounded and cold, he could see his breath and actually feel himself disappearing with his memories. “You never seemed like the weak type Sora.” A girl called out with a giggle.
“Namine?” Sora asked. “That you?”
“So, you and Roxas did remember.” She stated. “you know that Kairi is real worried. You should think about going back to the islands.”
“Umm…how do you know all of this?” Sora questioned the blond haired girl in a creamy white dress.
“So…I really did do a good job fixing your memories. It‘s true that you don‘t have any idea who I am, you just know the name?” Sora nodded in confirmation. Namine then placed a hand under her chin. “Perhaps I can make it so you can remember me and Roxas. Hold still.” Sora didn’t have a reason, but he trusted this girl, doing as he was told he held still as her right hand grew brighter and brighter, he felt a warmth in the darkness and a flooding sensation as it entered him warming his entire body. “hmm. Should come back to you in time. I guess that you need to get out of the darkness.” Opening a portal she shoved Sora back through.
Groaning Sora opened his eyes and saw Hayner, Pence and Ollete kneeling a foot above his face. “Heh, how’s it going?” He asked as he pushed Hayner and Pence back. Sitting up he looked at Ollete. “That worried were you?”
“You passed out. Then these weird white thing came out of the ground.” Hayner stated. “That blond haired girl that you were talking with went out to fight them. I don’t know if she is all right though, she told us to guard you until you woke up.”
“So now that you are awake go help her.” Pence said urging him to go.
“I guess I should.” Sora began to get up as Ollete seized his hand. He looked down and noticed the blush spreading across her face. She trembled as the thought of him losing to the tusks went though her mind. They tore through the town police and the police disappeared into nothingness when they lost, the only thing that was able to fight was that guy in the weird black cloak, the mouse and the blond haired girl.
Sora kneeled down and looked her in the eyes. “I can’t lose, I refuse to lose to those things.” Still though Sora could see the worry and doubt in her eyes. “I promise.” Quickly Sora leaned in a pecked the girl on the lips. Immediately he pulled back. “If that made you mad then you can kill me when I make it out of this mess, if you liked it then we can kiss more later.”
“Arrogant punk.” Hayner said with a smile. “Get going if you are so sure of yourself.”
Sora laughed and ran out through the flap. “SORA!” Larxene cried casting a lightning spell, killing the rest of the tusks. “Go to the train station…the king is waiting for you at the top of this hill.” Both turned when the sounds of screams rang out from the sandlot. “Some punk that named himself the leader of ‘the twighlight disciplinary committee’ thought he could take the nobodies. Let’s split up, I save the morons and you meet with your king, he‘s up at the top of this hill.”
Sora nodded and ran up the hill as Larxene indicated. There was a small plaza in front of the train station. Nobody was around but the white husks were everywhere. “You all picked a bad day to fight me.” Sora stated as he sprinted forward, Oathkeeper in his hands.
He swung at the one on the ground and watched as it disappeared like a heartless. Another leapt in the air and swung it’s thin arms at the keyblade wielder. Sora reacted parrying each attack and with a final leap he knocked the monster’s face into the sharp point on the end of his keyblade. “Let…us…help…sire.” one husk said as it attacked.
An image flashed through his mind of a boy with shorter and spiky hair. He had clear blue eyes, a white jacket, white leggings, black pants and a black shirt. “Watch out.” The boy said. Sora snapped back as a white husk swung it’s legs striking Sora in the stomach. He flew backwards but landed on his back and with his hands flung himself back up and swung the keyblade in a retaliating slash.
Sora sprinted and leapt up high into the air before slicing down the nobody in the center of the group. Much to his surprise the one’s that looked like a human disappeared. “Nice timing.” He stated. As he turned around some more came. These looked like a child missing their upper half of their body, only legs and a waist that they connected to.
“Easy pickings.” Sora swung straight down and destroyed the first, then swung to the left and straight up destroying another two. Much to his surprise they changed shape to weapons and sliced him if he didn’t pay attention, which he really wasn’t. One transformed into a sword and swung cutting Sora across the stomach. He crumpled to the ground and swung his keyblade again. They were all gone.
He continued to pant over and over again as he fell to the ground. More of the white tusks came out and surrounded him. “Give me a break. C’mon.” A tusk leapt forward and he raised the keyblade trying to block.
He heard it get hit and then it disappear. He opened his eyes and the king stood in front of him. “Don’t worry, I can talk to Larxene. Take this.” The king threw Sora a pouch of money and a blue orb. “Get on the train, don’t worry, just enter the tower. Then the train will take you back here. So you can say your goodbyes.”
“where is Riku?” Sora asked as he got to his feet and drank a potion.
“Not my story to tell. You’ll meet again sooner or later, for now just get on the train.” Mickey ordered. Sora complied and climbed on the train. The ride was uneventful and before long it slammed to a halt in front of a tower.
He leapt out and walked forward. He could almost sense it. The man in front of the tower seemed to reek of darkness. “hey, Mr. You know where I am?” Sora asked lamely.
“Not now twerp.” the giant fat man replied. “Do me a favor and get lost. You won’t want to mess with the Mighty Pete.”
“Make me leave.” Sora replied cockily.
“Look, kid, Maleficent and I are going to make the man in this tower a heartless and we will control all of the worlds.” Waving his hand a large number of heartless came out and attacked Sora.
They were small fry, and weren’t even worth the effort it took to swing his keyblade. “Get out of my way.” He said as he walked straight into the tower, he heaved the doors opened and turned back to Pete. “I am the keyblade master, you aren’t a challenge for me.”
Sora climbed the stairs and walked through the colorful rooms. It seemed like the tower just continued to climb up to the sky forever. There were heartless all over the tower of course, but anyone’s heart that is worth having is a very strong, chances are whoever was in the tower was strong and wouldn’t go down all that easy.
“This better be the last door.” Sora stated in a irritated tone. The door was light and easy gave way when Sora kicked it open.
An old wizard’s head shot up from the book that he was reading. “Why are you kicking my door in? Wait…Sora right? Let me guess, the king sent you here.” Sora nodded and the man stood up. “My name is Yen Cid, I taught the king combat and magic. I have a few gifts to give you. First is a magic spell, if my sight is correct, Namine has put you in a deep sleep, you would have forgotten all of your spells.” Yen Cid then threw an orb at Sora. It sank into his skin easily. “that is the basic blizzard spell, as you go on it will get stronger. Now, the king sent you here for me to give you a mission, I want you to go to other worlds but I want you to fight off all of the heartless. Where there are heartless there is the Organization XII.” Yen Cid then told Sora about all of the Nobodies, Heartless, and the Organization. “Find their purpose and mission. Now your last gift…you need new clothes, there are three good fairies in there that will outfit you.”
Sora walked into the room and found a fairy in blue, red and green. They bickered for a bit over what his new clothes would look like but finally stopped when Sora snapped and asked if they would do it all at once.
“Sora, I have this for you.” Yen Cid pointed out the window and Sora saw the Gummi. “You can pilot this yourself if you want but it would work better with three or four people.”
“Small issue, how will I call it, I don’t know what happened to chip and dale?” Sora asked.
“Your phone, you can send out a message and the gummi will act like a remote car and you can climb in from any position. It won’t have to be sent to you constantly like before.” Yen Cid looked at Sora’s clothes and tossed him anther orb. “Those clothes can help you in your fight, granting you more strength and abilities. However it will be tiring and after you use it you will have to wait until you can use it again. It’s called drive, there are more powers out there but you will have to find them as you go on.”
Sora nodded and thanked Yen Cid. “Wait, Sora. You need to know something. Inside you is a darkness, if you harness this you will not lose the keyblade. Just don’t give yourself fully to the darkness.” Sora nodded again and hopped into the Gummi.
“I guess I ought to find Larxene.” Sora pulled out his phone.
~Larxene~
“Give it up Axel.” She said between blows. Both of the fighters put their weapons away and had a stare down.
“You aren’t the only Nobody with their heart back.” Axel shouted. “What’s wrong with wanting to see an old friend again?”
“The fact that he isn’t here anymore. He’s Sora now and he probably won’t come back again.” Larxene stated.
“No, I will see him again.” Axel said “Roxas can come back…if Sora wanted it bad enough…all he needs is some…persuasion. Roxas always told me about the memories that he had, he remembered a girl that Sora liked ever since he was a child. A girl named Kairi, help Sora find and release Roxas.” Larxene went wide eyed and threw her kunai’s at Axel, but he left himself fall in a darkness portal.
“Shit.” She thought hitting her forehead. Her phone went off in her pocket. “WHAT!?” She screamed in the phone.
“Chill out.” Sora said on the other end. “I have a surprise, where are you now? Wait I found you.” Sora then landed outside of the mansion. “Take a seat. What’s wrong?” Sora asked seeing Larxene’s face.
“We have to go back to Destiny Islands…the organization is after Kairi.”
An:// I am lazy, so this isn’t Beta. I will get a beta tomorrow as it is late tonight. Next chapter I will put Kairi and Sora together. Riku…I haven’t decided when to put him in. Do you guys want him in now, or later. It will change the story a little.
Anyway review.
