Dahaka
Chapter Two: Dahaka
He ran from then knowing this child would die should he slow his pace even the slightest bit. They had been following him for what seemed like days, but did not seem to tire. "I wish you were able to run on your own, I would have you run to safety young child." The one week old baby closed his eyes and refused to look at the dark prince. "Fine child, you do not have to trust me, but make no noise least they find us." Ali seemed to understand and did not make a single sound as they found a place to hide, from the following croud, on the roof of a tall building.
"Stupid prince, you cannot hide for long." One of the followers said looking up towards the prince and his son. "There you are." It said throwing his ax towards the two. The prince dodged the ax but his grip on the child slipped and Ali went pummeling to the ground. It took the prince mere seconds to act, using the whip that seemed to have embedded itself into his arm, he curled it around the child's midsection and brought the child flying towards him. He jumped over and cought the baby with practised ease, landing onto the second roof and continuing to run. Once he was alone with his child, the dark prince allowed his counter part to come out and check on his child. The prince, knowing exactly what had happened, held his son close after inspecting and finding out everything was okay with the baby. "Stupid moronic idiots. I will kill them slowly and painfully." The prince promised, holding a bottle of cooling milk to the baby's mouth who instantly started feeding. "Good thing I was able to get this out of the kitchen in time. I don't what I would have done if more of those infected idiots had shown up. Eat up child, I'll clean you once you've finished eating."
It had been three days since the child had eaten, but it was a time of war and hatred between man kind, thanks to that stupid Vasir. "I don't know how much more of this I can take child. You are my everything, I will not allow anything to happen to you, but I am so very tired. A week without sleep is killing me." Ali continued to eat his food, not even aware that his father was talking to him. "There's no one I trust..." Just as he spoke that last word a black figure approached the prince and growled deep within his throat. "Da...Dahaka. I killed you. You are not to be alive." The Dahaka looked at the child before smiling (I have no idea if he can smile but bare with me). He pointed out what looked to be a broken window within a broken house and the prince turned to look at what the Dahaka was pointing at. Inside the broken building were humans, if you could call them that, screaming and fighting one another for sands that meant nothing to the prince.
The Dahaka looked at the prince before he too began to transform with a flash of white light. he changed into a man, rather hansome, clad in a black ripped cloak. He was pale as snow and his eyes red as fire. "Give me the child and sleep prince. I will keep him safe." The prince held his child tighter and refused to give him up. "If you want him, you'll have to take him by force." The dahaka shook his head and sat down beside the prince. "Prince, I am not here to take revenge for your ability to defeat me with the water sword. I am here only to help I swear no harm will come to your child while I am alive to prevent it. Just give him to me and I will take him to a place where time is irrelavent, where you can fight this battle with no need to worry about your child. I will bring him back once you have finished I swear it." The prince looked at his child allowing a tear to fall before handing him over to the Dahaka. "If you harm him in any way, I will kill you, and this time I will make sure you are unable to return." The Dahaka nodded and took hold of the small child.
"What is his name?" The prince shrugged. "I had named him Ali, but the dark prince calls hims child and I call him my young one. He has no true name that he goes by so you may name him, if you choose." The Dahaka smiled down at the little boy before vanishing. "HARM HIM AND YOU WILL DIE, UNDERSTAND?" The prince shouted to no one in particular seeing as how both his son and the Dahaka were gone. "I'll kill the Vazir and i'll come back for you. I promise." The prince said before the tiredness of the week caught up to him and he let sleep wash over him.
Meanwhile the Dahaka had finally finished cleaning the wailing child and had tried his best to get the little boy to calm. "You're just as much my kid as you are his, just because he does not know it means nothing, now calm yourself I mean you no harm." The child cried his heart out as the Dahaka continued to rock him to and fro. "Please calm down, I am a powerful being reduced to begging for the sake of one child to calm himself, what on earth has gotten into me." At those pleading words Ali looked up and giggled. The Dahaka was both outraged and very amused so he continued talking to the child in the pleading voice. The child continued to giggle and laugh as though there was not a single worry in the world. But as suddenly as the child had started to laugh, he calmed, his eyes closed and he fell limp in the Dahaka's strong arms.
"KID, KID GET UP. Shit I'm dead I'm dead." The Dahaka ranted shaking the child with just enough force to wake him. Reliefe washed through his mind followed closely by dread as the child once again started wailing. "QUIET DAMN IT I HAVE A FUCKING HEADACHE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD." Apparently the only words the child understood were 'cry, out and loud' and so raised his voice and let out the strongest cry his tiny body would allow before calming and falling asleep, finally having worn himself out. "I am going to regret having you with me, but you are my son after all." And with that the Dahaka held the sleeping child close to him, allowing no harm to come to him.
*Five years later*
"CHILD." The Dahaka yelled running after a rampaging five-year-old. "WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE HOURGLASS?" The little boy looked up and smiled showing off his perfect white teeth as he said: "NOT...TO...TOUCH...IT. Hehehe." The Dahaka glared at the boy before smiling and picking him up. "Your dad's going to be finished with everything he's doing, you excited about seeing him again?" The child looked as though he was thinking it over before shouting: "YEAH, DUH DADDY. You know for some..someone who's so smart and big and OLD, you sure ares stupid." The Dahaka dropped the boy on the ground and tickling him. "OLD, YOU CALL ME OLD MR BOY? HAH, I'LL SHOW YOU OLD." The boy laughed and tried to get away from the assult. "I give, I give, let go please."
"Fine. If that is your wish. Now go eat your breakfast Ali. I'm not having you shrivle up and die before your dad gets here." The boy giggled and ran to what could be considered a kitchen, sat at what could be considered a table and ate his what could be considered breakfast. "DADDY WHAT IS THIS THING THAT YOU CONSIDER A BREAKFAST AND THAT YOU MAKE ME EAT EVERY DAY?" The Dahaka walked over to the table and looked down at what the boy was eating. "Where did you get this?" The boy looked up and pointed to a little shelf. "It's the one on the left daddy, why did I eat something bad?" The Dahaka blushed, as much as a black beast can blush, took the food from the kid and sent him to his room. "I'll call you when breakfast is ready, go play or something." Ali nodded and ran to his roon. "I really should start keeping my black sand somewhere else. That kid will eat anything."
