Chapter Two

The sky was dark by the time Geoffrey began to make his way home. As per usual, nobody he passed bothered to speak to him. For once, it didn't bother him in the slightest. They still looked; they always looked. Probably gossiped behind their hands. But was it the same as always? Gossiping about him and how Sally rejected him? Or was it something new?

He wondered if his hair appeared to be mussed. Did he look like he had just been rolling around on the bed with someone? Was it obvious that he had just spent the last half hour kissing a man?

"Pfft!" Geoffrey finally spat under his breath. Why did he care what these idiots thought? They always treated him like a pariah anyway.

A bracing cold met him when he opened the door to his hut. Sally had given him a pretty nice setup for when he was staying in the village, but he never had anyone to come in and light the fire for him, or turn on a heating unit. Sighing as he tossed a few logs into the fireplace and lit them, he sat down on the area rug before his bed and fell into thought.

Elias was sweet, caring, intelligent... He was a gentle soul. Family was most important to him; he wanted nothing to do with politics or assuming the crown. Just an innocent kid...

Laughing to himself, Geoffrey dismissed the notion of Elias as a "kid." He was 20 years old, much more grown up than half of the members of Knothole that had spent years fighting against Robotnik... But Eli had spent the majority of his life hidden away from society, with only the critters on Angel Island and a couple old dogs to keep him company. Dealing with people en masse was difficult for him. And he never had to deal with the prejudices associated with being attracted to someone of the same sex.

He was lucky.

And perhaps he was better off. What exactly did Geoffrey find so distasteful about the whole thing? If he were a female he supposed he would be honored to have a Prince interested in him.

Or a Princess, as was the case with Sally.

Wincing, Geoffrey recalled what Elias had said. "You just wanted to pretend I was Sally--"

"That's not true!" Geoffrey cried, pounding his fist on his knee. But after listening to his words echo off of the walls, he realized that it probably was indeed true. At first. But... If it hadn't been Elias, he wouldn't have dared try what he did. So in effect he was actually attracted to Elias.

...Right?

He wasn't sure. Laying back on his bed and staring at the ceiling, he thought back over the events of the last hour in vivid detail.

The Prince... So soft, so warm, so completely enamored with Geoffrey. He remembered the squirrel laying back on the bed, eyes shining, looking up at him with such adoration. A look he had never seen in Sally's eyes. Sally knew who she was, and she would never assume a stance that would make her seem inferior or weak.

"But love isn't a weakness, Sally..." he whispered. He sighed and rubbed his eyes. Elias...

Again, he felt Elias' member rubbing up against his stomach. He had meant everything he said. Geoffrey really was "hot" to him... He was attracted to him, he wanted to be with him. It wasn't a matter of convenience or status. Elias had panted, had moaned, had rubbed up against him so earnestly...

Almost to his surprise, Geoffrey felt his own cock stirring. What would it feel like to have Elias' mouth wrapped around it? To have his hands on it, stroking it with a prowess that only another man would have?

Could it be possible to have sex... with another man? He knew how it was done; he had heard about it, mostly in bawdy jokes passed around the ranks. But he had never thought about it in-depth. The mechanics of it.

Idly stroking his manhood, he considered the notion until he drifted off to sleep.

Elias' chair was empty when Geoffrey went to breakfast the next morning. Usually Geoffrey was one of the first to rise in the morning, so that wasn't terribly worrisome. However, not seeing his Prince first thing caused his throat to constrict with fear.

The dining hall filled quickly as it always did... Everyone came, filled up their plates at the buffet, and sat to eat, talking amongst themselves. Geoffrey and Elias sat near the front of the hall where the Acorns placed themselves, but usually the King and Queen were only in attendance. As of late Sally tended to be rather aloof and always came up with excuses to miss meals. Geoffrey appeared a little more grouchy than usual so he wasn't addressed by anyone, even the King.

Ten minutes into the meal, Elias finally showed up in the hall.

"I'm not feeling terribly well today, father," the Prince stated quietly into the King's ear. "I'm going to take my food into my room today."

Concern showing on his features, Max turned to his son. "Shall Dr. Quack have a look at you?" he asked.

"No, not at all. I'm just feeling a little nauseous. I'm sure I'll feel fine after a little rest."

The Queen cooed and petted Elias' cheek. "Well, feel better soon, my dear."

Without even bothering to toss a glimpse in Geoffrey's direction, he left. Suddenly, the skunk felt his face grow hot. What was Elias going to do? Avoid him now and forever? Basically being the Prince's bodyguard prevented that.

Once the meal had ended, Geoffrey made up his mind to talk to Elias about the whole thing. "I'll go take him some Grabbous Root to settle his stomach, Your Majesty."

"Excellent idea, St. John," the King replied as he rose from the table and straightened his shirt. "Alicia and I have some more construction plans to look over; please tell him he can come down and join us anytime."

Geoffrey's heart was pounding by the time he was in the hallway leading to Elias' room. Clenching the root in a sweating palm, he approached slowly. He stood at the door for a minute or so before he finally brought his fist up to knock.

"Who is it?" Elias called. "I'm not feeling very well today."

"It's me," Geoffrey replied, his voice sounding more taut than he intended. When there was no reply, Geoff continued, "Please open the door, Elias. I want to talk to you."

After a few silent moments, the Prince's voice finally resounded. "I'm not in the mood to talk right now."

"You're being unfair to me!"

There was no answer. His already thin patience tested beyond its limits, he finally threw the root on the ground before the door and growled, "I brought you something to settle your stomach. Oh, and your parents are waiting for you downstairs." Walking away, he yelled, "I guess I'll take the fucking day off, then."

As he made his way down the hall, he thought he might have heard the door quietly click open. But he dared not look back. If Elias wanted to play this game, he could play it...

The closer he got to his own dwelling, however, the more unsure he became. What if things got complicated? Again he realized that, though he knew Elias better than anyone else, he still didn't know him TERRIBLY well. Not well enough to know if Elias would try to use their activities as some sort of blackmail material. Geoffrey had never seen Elias' bad side, so he had no clue how horrible it could be. For a long time, Geoffrey was convinced the Prince didn't HAVE a bad side.

"No, No," Geoffrey murmured to himself as he stepped into his hut and closed the door. "Elias would never--" Outing Geoffrey would out Elias as well.

...though he could lie, say that Geoffrey forced himself on him... Nobody in Knothole, other than the royal family, really had any affection for Geoffrey. If it came down to it he would be kicked out on his ass and left without so much as a Mobium for his time.

There was a swift knock on the door. Hoping that maybe Elias had come to apologize, Geoffrey promptly opened it.

"...You."

Scratching his head awkwardly, Sonic smiled. "You, uh... Haven't seen Sally around, have you?"

"Get in another tiff, ya jackass?" Geoffrey growled. "You know, you should really stop fucking around with her affections like you do."

Glaring, Sonic replied, "I didn't ask you for relationship advice, Asshole. You didn't do such a hot job with her yourself." Tapping his foot impatiently, he cried, "Have you seen her or not?"

"NO," Geoffrey barked, slamming the door in Sonic's face.

This was going to be a long day.

Elias tried to focus on the stupid blueprints laid out before him, but he just couldn't. His parents immediately noticed that he was not as attentive as usual.

"If you're still feeling unwell, my dear, you should rest."

"I'm fine, mother. I just..." He ran his slender fingers through his bangs, as was his fashion, and sighed in exasperation. Why did he have to look at these stupid things? Isn't that what advisors were for?

...yeah, well, technically Geoffrey was his advisor. So that wasn't an option.

Probably wasn't a good idea to put all of his eggs in one basket. Bodyguard, Advisor, Lover... Had anyone ever had all three in one person? Elias strongly doubted that. Everyone ELSE was smart. Everyone ELSE was meant to do this stupid job. HE was not. He was most certainly not King material.

"...yeah, okay, you're right. I'm going to take it easy for today." Without any more explanation, he quickly took off for the safety of his room.

Once there, he paced. Paced and paced and paced. Back and forth, cursing his lot in life. Maybe he should just run away... there was no place for him here. There never was and there never would be. Sitting down at his desk, he began to obsessively arrange all of his stationary. First by size, then by color, then alphabetically...

Shortly, he became lost in thought. Whenever something went wrong he always defaulted to the same line of thinking: Run away. Not King material. Don't belong. But he wasn't really addressing the true problem when he did such a thing. Usually, the original conflict continued to linger and he simply pushed it away, out of sight, out of mind. Geoffrey, unfortunately, was not the type to stay out of sight. If he chose to continue harassing Elias, there would be no stopping him.

"'Harass?'" Elias said to himself. What exactly would Geoffrey do? All he had done was attempt to make Elias happy. Even though he was obviously straight, he had tried very hard to do what Elias required of him. Feeling tears threaten again, Elias put his head in his hands, pulling at his hair. "I made him do it... It's all my fault... I ruined it, ruined him, ruined what little companionship I had..." He really SHOULD run away. Then they wouldn't have to suffer the burden of relieving Geoffrey of his post. Geoffrey could be free to do whatever he wanted, without people asking unnecessary questions about his past employment with Elias...

The sun was already beginning to set. Had he been hiding in his room for that long? People were probably wondering about him... But his parents had surely explained the situation, keeping anyone away who attempted to bother him. At this point in the day Geoffrey was probably wrapping up his paperwork, getting ready to rest and go to bed. Maybe Elias should go to him first, tell him that it was okay, that he would be free and nobody would find out about them...

A firm knock issued through the door. Without even waiting for Eli's acknowledgement, Geoffrey called, "I see you picked up the root I left you. You should try to put something more on your stomach." Unable to find words, Elias waited. "If you don't eat anything, Your Majesty, you're REALLY going to be sick."

So Geoffrey knew Elias' illness was a ruse. Of course he did; he knew everything. He knew when Elias was sad, scared, nervous. Knew when he was fibbing.

He KNEW Elias. And despite all of the squirrel's flaws, here he was. Trying to make sure he didn't miss too many meals. Nothing had been ruined at all, had it? Things were fine between them.

Elias finally pushed himself to his feet. All he had to do... was open the door. One step... Two steps... Three... Almost there...

Geoffrey sighed in relief when the door finally slid open. There the Prince stood before him, looking wounded. His lips began to quiver when he looked down and saw the tray full of food Geoffrey was carrying. It contained all of his favorite things...

"Your mother made the chefs cook up some food you liked; hoped maybe you'd come down eat. But they sent me up here when it was obvious you weren't going to show."

Face falling, Elias whispered, "You were sent. I see."

An annoyed growl issued from the skunk's throat. He quickly pushed past Elias and kicked his foot backward, shutting the door behind him. After sitting the tray on Elias' desk, he grabbed a vegetable and pointed. "Are you going to eat or are you going to keep brooding?"

Tears shined in Elias' eyes again. Geoffrey threw the carrot back onto the tray, stepped forward, and took firm hold of the side of the Prince's head. "No more crying!"

"I'm sorry. I..."

Bringing up his other hand and holding Elias' face, Geoffrey moved in close. "Don't be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong."

Inhaling a steadying breath, Elias brought his hands up to his chest, perhaps as a barrier between the two of them. "Yes... I did... And... I'm prepared to face the consequences of that."

Geoffrey regarded him for a moment with narrowed eyes. Finally, he said, "What are you talking about?" When Elias didn't attempt to answer, he continued, "The only consequence you're going to face is me tying you down and force-feeding you."

The thought of Geoffrey straddling him, shoving carrots into his mouth while he strained against tight leather straps at his wrists and ankles... He blushed and smiled a bit.

This was a reassurance to the skunk. He stepped back and pulled the chair out from beneath Elias' desk. The discarded carrot was soon in his hand again. "Yum yum!" he cried, popping it into his mouth.

Elias laughed despite himself. Geoffrey was acting absurd. Perhaps reflecting his opinion of the situation itself. It was a possibility that Elias was overreacting... right? Geoffrey was here standing right before him. Finally put at ease, he sat down and began to eat.

Taking a spot on Elias' bed, Geoffrey relaxed. Hopefully things could return to normal now...

Elias was hoping the same. But, as he chewed and absorbed the silence in the room, it dawned on him that they had some talking to do.

As per usual, Geoffrey caught right on to Elias' thoughts. Or at least seemed to.

"Your majesty..." Elias' ears perked, but he did not turn to face his companion. He dreaded what he was about to hear. "I want to talk to you about what happened yesterday."

Nodding slowly and swallowing a mouthful, Elias replied, "You... have the right to do that."

"Yesterday... I was impulsive. I hadn't really thought it all through..." Geoffrey looked bashfully at his hands. "I had never noticed your feelings for me... Never even entertained the thought of something like this happening."

Putting down his fork with a shaking hand, Elias tried to force a smile. He knew what the skunk was getting at... "You did it to make me happy, Geoffrey. It's okay. You tried to pretend I was Sally and maybe both of us could be happy for awhile. I understand."

"NO!" Geoffrey cried, looking back up at the Prince. "Maybe... Maybe I equated her with you. At some level. Maybe I even still do. But... I never looked to you as her. Never."

Elias finally made eye contact. The conviction in Geoffrey's expression was enough to make him believe.

"There are qualities in you both I admire. Some of them are the same." Shaking his head as if he expected Elias to argue, Geoffrey pointed and continued, "Now, I thought long and hard about what you said yesterday, and I've come to the conclusion that I was, most certainly, kissing YOU."

A rueful smile played across the Prince's lips. "That's a tough thing to admit, Geoffrey... Are you sure that's the story you want to stick to?"

Leaning back on his muscular arms, St. John looked at Elias for what seemed like a very long time. After that time had passed, he inhaled deeply and answered, "Why don't you come kiss me again-- So I can be sure?"

The Prince's heart was in his throat. An enticing offer... But what if it had the same result as yesterday?

The lids on Geoffrey's eyes became heavy. "I've been spending... a lot of time thinking about your equipment. I promise not to let it surprise me again."

Rising slowly from his desk, Elias breathed, "How do you always know what's on my mind?"

As soon as Elias was within reach, Geoffrey grabbed his hips and pulled him forward. “Because your eyes are so easy to read...” Once the squirrel was against the bed, Geoffrey pinned him between his knees. Elias looked down at him, his face flushed. Nervously, he bent down, hesitating a moment before finally placing his lips against Geoffrey's.

And so it began again. The Prince wrapped his arms around Geoffrey's neck as tongues tangled and lips meshed. The skunk's grip on Eli's hips got tighter, almost uncomfortably so. He cried out a little, a quiet expression of pleasure and surprise, pulling on Geoffrey's hair.

Geoff worked his way over to Elias' sensitive ears again, as the Prince ran his hand over his hard shoulders, down again to his abs. Grunting in a lustful manner, Geoff buried his head in Elias' neck.

Emboldened, Elias let his hands travel just a little farther down...

“Touch me,” Geoffrey whispered.

Smiling, Elias turned to meet Geoffrey's lips again. He playfully bit down on Geoffrey's bottom lip as his hand found the soft mound between Geoff's legs. A good squeeze caused his lover to noticeably stiffen.

“I've always wondered if you had a big cock, Geoffrey,” Elias said quietly as he dropped to his knees. He looked up at his companion seductively as he moved to free Geoffrey's manhood from its sheath. Geoff, for his part, looked intoxicated... His breath was already labored. As his cock came into full view, dark against the whiteness of his fur, Elias laughed. “Not bad.” He wasn't much longer than average, but very thick. “I'm sure I can get the whole thing into my mouth.”

Teasingly, he pushed the tip past his lips, sucking with moderate pressure and running his tongue along the frenulum.

“Unh...” Geoffrey gasped, grabbing a fistful of Elias' sheets.

“Have you ever had your dick sucked by a man, Mr. St. John?” Elias growled, looking up again.

Before he lover could answer, Elias leaned forward and took him entirely into his mouth, caressing him tightly with his lips.

“God--!”

After a few quick jaunts, Elias pulled back and began to stroke Geoffrey with a hand.

“Mmmmm...” Elias hissed as a thick bead of precum oozed from Geoffrey's cockhead. Licking it with the tip of his tongue, he turned his eyes back to his lover.

Affection was shining deep in his eyes as Geoffrey caressed the side of Elias' face with a rough hand. He was now completely hard. The Prince drained the last bit of nectar from him and slowly got to his feet, never breaking Geoffrey's gaze.

“Now is the real test...” Elias said quietly as he unbuttoned his shirt. Geoffrey didn't even bat an eyelash as Elias' shirt fell to the floor and his own arousal sprang forward. “You have the choice... of what happens next...” Rubbing the bottom of his manhood with a stray thumb, Elias whispered, “If you want to stop this now, you are free...”

Seemingly in slow-motion, Geoffrey arose. “I want... you,” he growled, smiling huskily as he closed the gap between their bodies, taking the Prince's lips once more. As he devoured, greedily, all Elias offered, his hands traveled ever-so-slowly south... Tentatively at first, he touched the Prince's cock, feeling its soft shaft from the back to the front. Moaning softly, Eli pressed into Geoffrey's hands...

“I love those noises,” Geoff growled as he took Elias into his firmly closed fingers. Elias panted as the object of his affections stroked his manhood for the first time. Smiling softly, his eyes closed, he brought his hands down and moved Geoffrey's to the side.

As the Prince pressed the bottom of his own dick against Geoffrey's, he said, “So hot. God. You're so hot...” The skunk groaned in pleasure as Elias rubbed their members together, bucking his hips to compensate for their slight difference in height.

Geoffrey was shocked to feel Elias pull away. Opening his eyes, he watched in confusion as the Prince grabbed the grabbous root from his desk. Smiling mischievously, he climbed on top of the bed and perched on his knees. Cock in one hand, root in the other, he laughed. “Are you ready for the last step, St. John?”

“What's with the 'St. John' business all of a sudden?” Geoffrey teased. “Are you all professionalism in the bedroom?”

Taking a bite out of the root, Elias lay back atop the soft pillows. “Professionals do it right the first time,” he purred as a cool, thick sap poured from the vegetable. “I want this to be perfect for you. I don't want you to regret this.” Covering his right hand in the sap, he began to slather it on his dick. He smiled as Geoffrey watched him jack off, eyes filled with lust. “This is all yours, baby,” he whispered. Slowly, he lifted his legs up until his knees were at his chest, all of his secrets bared. Geoffrey's pulse quickened... His soft, pink cherry looked almost like a woman's vagina...

“How do you feel?” Elias asked, concern on the edge of his voice. His hand slowly moved down. A single slick finger pushed into his ass and he bit his lip.

Almost involuntarily, Geoffrey's cock twitched at the sight. “Nervous...” he answered truthfully. But his body craved release.

Pushing a second finger into himself, the Prince smiled. “It's not so different... from normal sex. But it feels... SO... good.” Pumping his hips against his hand, he groaned, “I would love to feel you. Inside of me. Even if it's only once...”

Heart beating a mile a minute, Geoffrey finally got onto the bed. He loomed over Elias, hands on either side.

“Come here...” Elias purred, removing his occupied hand and pulling Geoffrey upward. Soon, Elias' legs were over Geoff's shoulders. “I'm wet. Hot. I'm ready for you.” Geoffrey looked down, watched Eli's hand place him at the entrance. “Please be gentle...”

Geoffrey eased the head of his manhood into Elias' tight ass. The Prince closed his eyes and arched his back, taking firm hold of the base of his cock with a still wet hand. Slowly, Geoffrey pressed ever further, his body growing hotter and hotter as his lover's groans became more fervent. Soon, he was buried to the hilt inside, feeling Elias' soft, hot body spasming around him.

“God, Geoffrey-- Your cock feels so good--”

Eli's face was flushed, his lean little body squirming under Geoffrey's weight. His penis was pulsing. The skunk couldn't stand to wait any longer... He retreated, then thrust back inward again. Slowly at first... then a little faster, a little harder... “Ah-- Ah--” he grunted as his hips crushed against Elias' body, causing the Prince to cry out again and again.

“Oh God... Oh GOD. Yes! Yes! YES!”

He had barely begun to touch his dick before hot streams of cum shot from it, covering his flat chest in mere moments. Yelling so loudly he had to bite his hand, he braced himself as Geoffrey pounded into him with a speed and power that was almost brutal.

“Shit!” Geoffrey spat as he finally came, an orgasm so powerful that Elias could feel every shot of sperm, every jump of Geoff's dick, in his ass as the last thrusts finally arrived.

All that could be heard in the room was their heavy breathing as Geoffrey looked down on his lover. Elias' hair was completely askew, sweat mussing his soft fur. Slowly, Geoff pulled himself from Eli's body, sitting back so the Prince could prop his legs on the mattress.

Geoffrey's cum oozed from his well-fucked ass, and he was covered in his own juices. He was...

“Beautiful,” Geoffrey whispered, his voice hoarse.

Elias' eyes were glazed over. Smiling in contentment, he looked up at his lover. “Hmm?”

“I said that you were beautiful.”

Confusion played across his features. “Beautiful. Like Sally, right?”

“Not at all,” Geoffrey answered. “She could never be as effortlessly seductive as you.”

“Effortless?” Elias laughed. “I guess if I had put forth more effort, you would have noticed me sooner?”

Grinning, Geoffrey replied, “It doesn't matter now. You have me ensnared.”
