Roxas awoke early the next morning. He didn't bother thinking about the events that happened the night before. Why would he? He wasn't affected by them. He sighed, moving to run his hand through his hair but stopped as he remembered Axel had done that last night. A blush crept up on Roxas face and he shook his head "Idiot." He told himself as he got up, pulling on his coat. He finished the book last night after leaving Axel's room and he planned on getting another one, hopefully not running into a certain redhead.
Axel yawned not bothering to get out of bed. He didn't have much to do today, there were no missions or anything of the sorts. The only thing his days consisted of when there was nothing going on was Roxas. Axel wondered how the boy would react to him today after what had happened last night. He shrugged it off and snuggled back under the sheets. A short nap wouldn't hurt.
Roxas zipped up his coat and grabbed the book off his nightstand. He took a deep breath at the door and opened it. He peaked out and felt relieved that there was no one out in the halls. He made his way up to the library to search for his next book.
Axel kicked off the covers, damn it was always hot in here. Even sleeping nude didn't help. He stretched out his arms and rolled on his back. He wondered what time it was now, were the other members up? Maybe he should get up and get dressed, the last thing he needed was another Organization member to walk in while he was sprawled out nude in his bed. He groaned and sat up scanning the floor for his clothes. He didn't bother hurrying himself in getting dressed, honesty no one came in here, well other than Roxas. How could he get Roxas back into his room? He thought as he touched his lips, smiling. Axel was still slightly worried about how Roxas was going to react when he saw him again.
Roxas' trip to the library was uneventful. No one was out, it was eerily quiet and it made him think. Think about last night. He knew he wasn't prepared to see Axel again, not yet. How dare Axel kiss him again! He never gave him permision to do such a thing. Roxas thought more about it as he put the book he had up and searched for the next one. What really bothered him the most is that he had went along with it and kissed Axel back even! He huffed frustrated and pulled out a book. It was yet another book about Heartless, this time more powerful ones. Looks interesting, Roxas thought as he sat down in one of the library's seats. He opened the book and began to read hoping that reading would distract him.
Axel shifted his coat around a bit trying to make himself look presentable for everyone outside his room. He looked around his room once more. Maybe he should clean it up or at least organize it a bit, who knows exactly what was on the floor around him. I might find something alive, Axel thought amused at the comment as he pulled the coat's hood over his head and opened the door to leave his room.
Roxas shifted in the seat, then again, and again. He sighed and set the book down. He couldn't read all he could think about was Axel! The redhead invaded his thoughts, he was like a curse! Once you get him you can never get rid of him. Not that Roxas wanted to get rid of Axel, no that was not the case at all. He never wanted to get rid of Axel, the redhead made him feel welcomed, wanted. Roxas blushed at that thought. Wanted huh? His mind told him, great now his mind was betraying him, bad enough his body was last night.
Axel stepped out of his room and shut the door quietly behind him, there was no point drawing attention to himself. Not that he needed to worry about that, there was no one around. Odd. Very odd actually. Usually there was a least some activity even if it usually was Larxene yelling at another Organization member for something. Axel felt a little sorry for her being the only girl in a group of 12 other guys but then again, she was anything but girly. He shrugged it off as maybe they were all having tea somewhere and started working his way towards the library. He wanted to see Roxas even though he was sure that he was the last person the blond boy wanted to see.
Roxas groaned and put the book down on the table. He couldn't concentrate the only thing he could think about was Axel. Axel, Axel, Axel! The damn redhead couldn't leave him alone even when Axel wasn't with him! Roxas stood up and walked towards the back of the library to where the windows were. He set his arms on the sill, laid his head in his arms and stared into the heart shaped moon Xemnas had called 'Kingdom Hearts'. What was this 'Kingdom Hearts' anyway? He pondered, welcoming anything to get his mind off his friend.
Axel debated the whole time he walked up to the library in the castle. Should he or should he not attempt to talk to Roxas. All he did was give the boy a squeeze, there wasn't anything wrong with that. Was there? Axel brought a hand up to his cheek where Roxas had slapped him the night before. He smiled, yes it was definitely worth getting slapped for that. When Axel had arrive at the library he peered though the windows from the hallway, scanning the area to see where exactly Roxas was. He spotted the blond in the back part staring out the windows. Good then, Axel thought, he hasn't noticed that I'm here. The redhead opened the door to the library silently and entered.
Roxas watched the balcony below, Demyx was playing his sitar and judging by his lip movements he probably was singing but he couldn't hear anything. Roxas wondered how Number IX sounded, he, like Axel, seemed to be very animated for a Nobody, maybe he had a good voice. Another person appeared out of nowhere on the balcony causing both Roxas and Demyx to jump in surprise.
Axel leaned against the window beside Roxas, smiling at the other boy briefly before turning his attention outside. Demyx had a grin plastered on his face as he talked to the still hooded figure. "You know they been like this for a while... Xigbar started helping Demyx not long after he joined. They've practically been together ever since." They watched as Xigbar moved his hood down, smiling and talking to the other boy, Axel sighed and turned his back to them looking over at Roxas.
"Together?" Roxas asked looking up at Axel to see him nod, then immediately turning his attention back to the couple outside. "I see." Roxas watched the two below for a few moments. Xigbar glanced around before wrapping his arms around the other and leaning down to... Roxas turned suddenly, blushing. "Ah maybe I shouldn't watch that..."
Axel laughed glancing behind him to see what was happening outside, "They do that when they think no one is looking." He poked at Roxas' cheek, "You're cute when you blush you know that?" The redhead grinned when Roxas smacked his hand away, looking flustered. "Aww what's the matter Roxas?"
Roxas glared daggers at the redhead, "Nothing! Nothing's wrong!" he 'hmph' and turned back to look outside, looking forward to avoid staring at the two making out below. He could feel Axel staring at him and it was really annoying, "I'm just fine." He muttered glancing down just as Xigbar opened a portal and dragged Demyx into who knows where, much to Roxas' relief. He didn't want to think about that. or watch for that matter, when he already couldn't get a certain redheaded bastard out of his mind.
Axel put his arm around Roxas' waist and leaned down to kiss him on the cheek, prepared to be slapped. Thankfully it never came. Roxas turned to look at him, a blush still spread out across his innocent features. It was really hard for Axel not to take advantage of his younger friend right there in the library. "Hey... Roxas... We can do something better than stare out the window here... do you want to go to my room?"
Roxas thought on this for a moment. Axel's room was more interesting than the library, considering Roxas had read just about every book about the Heartless that was in there already, most of them twice. They were getting rather boring. For some reason Axel's eyes were very inviting and he was lost in them, "Alright." The moment the words came out of his mouth his brained screamed 'No, no! Shit!' Too late.
Axel grinned and placed a chaste kiss to Roxas' lips, "Let's go then." He laughed, unwrapping his arm from the blond's waist. Axel grabbed Roxas' hand and proceeded to drag his soon-to-be lover off to his room cheering silently to himself.
