It is *never* so simple…
Fayt really did not care that their relationship was so called long-distance one. He really did not…

Fayt’s love was a university student and more than a smart one. His love was called prodigy but he knew none. It was alright expect… The problem was that the university of his love was in different over 1 000 kilometers apart.

Fayt lived his life from one day to another waiting his lover to call, send a letter or e-mail or came to see him. Every morning he woke up, got dressed, ate and walked to his university where his classmates were expecting him. They greeted him joyfully and he smiled them.

A hollow smile. But it was a smile nether the less.

Fayt really did not care that his classmates were not his real friends more like good-day buddies. They were fun to hang with but he never told them his deepest thoughts, how he time to time wished he could see his love. Those kinds of thoughts would have made his classmates uncomfortable and confused so he did not risk anything.

After the lessons Fayt walked back to home, checked his mail and answering machine and usually – after disappointment of not having anything from his lover – he spent a quiet evening by himself not wanting anyone’s company. When the night fell he would undress himself and go to bed taking thoughts about his lover with him. When he had had a truly hard day he might call to his love but usually no one was there to answer and eventually he would phone his twin sister Maria. Maria was the only one he could speak about his yearning to see and hear about his one and only true love.

But if anyone other than Maria asked about their relationship, Fayt always told them that he really did not care that their relationship was so called long-distance one. After all it *was* important to educate oneself well.

There were also days when Fayt met his life-long friends who knew about his relationship. Every time he met his friends they told him to break up and find himself a new love. They spoke like it was the easiest thing on earth to break up with person who did not even answer your messages! They spoke him like he had not been in this same relationship for several years. They told him to just break up!

But *how* did you do something like that? That was something Fayt wanted to ask. He wanted to know how to rip your soul and heart out off your chest and keep on living normally. His friends really did not understand that his love was that stopped from going insane.

So Fayt just smiled and nodded and did nothing like breaking up.

And as Fayt smiled he smiled with his hollow smile. But even hollow smile is a smile and nobody realized anything.

Fayt knew that Cliff loathed him. Because he continued on and allowed his love keep firm hold of his heart. He had once tried to explain how he felt to Cliff, Mirage, Sophia and Nel. He had told them that he could not even think about breaking up. It hurt too much to even think that he might lose his love. It felt like his heart would shatter into million pieces and he would become frozen and empty inside.

They did not understand Fayt, but – in reality – he did not even expect it. They have already proven to dislike his love. Not only because his love was genius but because of all the cruel things his love did to him. Fayt’s friends refused to see and acknowledge that Albel was not only one doing cruel things…

After all…

Fayt really did not care that their relationship was so called long-distance one. He *really* did not!
