Nightmare's redemption

Once again Nightmare stood watching the sun set outside of the cave he had hidden in for 2 years this believe it or not was something Nightmare enjoyed watching since his isolation “Years ago I would of laughed at myself for doing this.” Spoke Nightmare softly he then picked up Soul Calibur and began to practice, unlike Soul Edge which stood alone in the ground all away in the darkest part of the cave alone and untouched for so many years. Nightmare himself had “redecorated” the cave leveling most of the ground with his techniques and destroying rocks, boulders or anything that would make the cave feel small to him.
Somewhere:
“Yes, at night sometimes the villagers hear yelling of pain and anguish.” Said the bartender to a cloaked woman “Thank you, here are your copper pieces.” Said Ivy slamming down 3 coins for the bartender’s help. “I will find you Nightmare be sure of it.” Said Ivy as she headed down the road closer and closer to Nightmare’s cave.
At the cave:
Nightmare then sat down on a carved out chair of his after practicing with Soul Calibur for 3 hours developing a new technique called the New Nightmare, which even amazed him. “I need to find food.” Said Nightmare as he began wondering about his dinner. The first year of Nightmare’s isolation was hard due to the fact he had no cooking or hunting experience except for soul shards, but he soon found himself stealing from local villagers and fishing every now and then for food and for water every now and then he’d raid a passing by caravan or a well for it, but surely advanturely he was able to fish and grow things on his own after watching villagers do it from a distance. He stood up as he was going to check on his food when Soul Calibur began to glow again. “A visitor” Said Nightmare smiling evilly beneath his helmet.
“Hm very interesting living place for a demon.” Said Ivy as she walked into the cave “DIE HUMAN!” yelled Nightmare as he fell down from the roof of the cave to kill Ivy, luckily she had sensed it a little before hand and flipped backwards. “Nightmare!” yelled Ivy as she chased towards him with Valentine in hand “DIE DEMON!” she yelled as she turned Valentine into a whip one more time and whip lashed Nightmare’s armor “Paethic” said Nightmare as he then used Soul Calibur to tangle up Valentine and hit Ivy in the stomach with his mutant hand. Ivy then flew back taking Valentine and Soul Calibur out of her and Nightmare’s hand sending it out of the Cave onto the ledge of the cave. “Human do you think you can beat me?” asked Nightmare to Ivy as she regained her breath “No I am going to destroy you!” screamed Ivy as she took out a dagger and stabbed Nightmare in his mutant hand, “Fool!” yelled nightmare kicking her into the wall with the dagger still stuck in his hand “Your making your death more and more worse by the second.” Said Nightmare taking out the dagger and charging at her, body tackling her into the wall and then upper cutting her. “He’s much stronger then last time.” Said Ivy to herself as she hit the floor “I need valentine if I want to defeat him.” Nightmare then advanced toward her with his arm ready to finish the fight “Die Human!” said Nightmare as he then prepared to punch her into the rock floor “you first” said Ivy as he tripped nightmare sending him to the floor and then her heel into his head “now die!” she said as she prepared to send her heel into his skull in hopes of crushing it “Fool…” said Nightmare as Ivy’s attempt failed. “My armor protects me from such paethic strikes.” Said Nightmare as he then back kicked her into the wall “I will not be defeated.” Said Ivy calling Valentine to her hand “what!?” said Ivy realizing Valentine was not coming to her “Your connection to your sword is severed by Soul Calibur and Soul edge.” Laughed Nightmare Evilly “persistent but strong.” Said Nightmare as he admired Ivy for a second. “Such a beautiful women with such amazing skin and body shape. It’s a shame I have to kill her.” He then picked up the dagger and threw it at Ivy missing her by a mile “What’s this?” said Ivy taking the dagger out of the rock “think of it as a good bye gift.” Said Nightmare rushing towards her prepared to do a slide tackle sending her out of the cave and into the water below. He then stopped when he began to feel the effects of working out before and the fatigue from no food and battling “No NOT NOW!” screamed Nightmare mentally. Ivy herself thought she had the advantage with a dagger in hand “now it is my time to get him.” Said Ivy as she tried one last attempt to get nightmare which was soon hindered by her lose of blood “No..” said Ivy as she collapsed to the floor “not now.” She said as she passed out.

A few days later
“She destroyed my armor. Impressive.” Said Nightmare throwing his armor over the ledge into the water. Ivy herself laid unconscious in Nightmare’s bed for 3 days not moving or stirring since the battle “Why did I let her live?” asked Nightmare to himself as he left the cave to go find some water. Ivy then awoke to the sound of dripping water from the cave “Where am I?” said Ivy getting up to examine her surroundings “this is Nightmare’s cave.” She said as she noticed the large dents in the wall where her body and his had been due to the fight. “Ah!” she screamed as she felt her leg “it’s broken?” said Ivy “he must have done this.” She soon picked up her leg and closed her mouth tightly and popped her leg back in she then screamed even louder making Nightmare come back inside the cave. “Your awake.” Said Nightmare throwing her clothes to her. Ivy then saw beneath the sheets to see she was naked “thanks.” Said Ivy quickly slightly embarrassed.
A few minutes later Ivy came back out from the corner she dressed in noticing it wasn’t quite her clothes “where is my other clothes?” asked Ivy to Nightmare “They’re to destroyed for anyone to use them I stole these off a Peasant.” Ivy then soon noticed Nightmare himself was just dressed in a tunic with pants and boots. “Amazing.” Said Ivy as she studied him without his armor on his skin and scars, his arm, his face with the red eyes and red hair and his built body. She then licked her lips “here’s some food.” Said Nightmare throwing her some apples, “I am going to go cook some fish.” He then left to go get firewood. “I wonder why he kept me alive. The last time we fought he meant to kill me, but luckily Sophitia stopped him.” Said Ivy as she bit into the apple and looked around for her blade valentine soon snaked over to her arm circling around it and then became a blade once more “now to finish what I started.” Said Ivy
It was an hour till Nightmare came back with firewood and fish and another till he could cook it “it’s cold.” Said Ivy to Nightmare “Live with it.” Replied Nightmare “Much of a gentlemen you are.” Snapped back Ivy “Much of a lady you are. Responded Nightmare. They soon started eating when Nightmare sensed something moving. “If I were you I wouldn’t do that.” Said Nightmare to Ivy. She soon saw the dagger at her side “I will kill you before that sword takes my life.” Ivy soon recoiled the blade then went back to eating.
Later during the night
“Who lives in place like this?” said Ivy as she walked around the cold cave practically freezing. “I can’t leave this place looking like this.” Said Ivy looking down noticing her assets were somewhat exposed and her lack of clothing. “And why does he get to sleep in the bed?” as she looked over to Nightmare who slept innocently. She then curled up into a ball near the fire and tried to sleep and as for Nightmare he then got up and put a blanket on her “Sleep well.” He said softly and almost caring and then proceeded back over to his bed and slept. Shortly after A certain blade reawaked showing its hideous eye one more time to the world.
