Signas' first love..

Chapter 2
The Date


Morning

Signas woke up first. Soldjermon is still sleeping. Her wings are folded on the bed to the side. He looked at her. She’s sleeping peacefully. He gets up to make breakfast while she’s sleeping, he didn’t want to disturb her while she’s sleeping anyway.

Soldjermon woke up a half an hour later. She smells breakfast coming from the kitchen. He was cooking eggs, bacon, French toast, sausages,
She walked to the kitchen and sees Signas cooking.

“You’re up.” He said with a smile. “How was your sleep?”

“It was the best ever. I haven’t had a good nights sleep like that in years!” She smiled happily.

“I’m glad.” He smiled as well. He was happy that she was happy. He had set the table for the two of them. They both set down at the table since breakfast was ready. Signas wanted to ask her out. Soldjer ate as Signas finished chewing his toast. He’s going to ask her now. “Umm.. Soldjer?”

Soldjer finished chewing as well. “Yeah?”

“Um.. I was wondering if you want to.. go out to eat tomorrow morning.”

“Sure! I’d love that!”

“Great!” He smiled. She smiled back. “I like to go out in the morning so no one would find out.”

“I agree. How about... 5am at the least?” she said.

“Sure.” He smiled back. They continued to eat and talk. Tomorrow is going to be their first date.

12pm

It was a busy day at the maverick hunter HQ. Every commander of their unit was training their new recruits, even Soldjer. Her recruits are getting stronger and are learning quickly. She is very proud of her unit.

“Excellent everyone.” She said in a proud tone. The reploids stood up. Their training is almost done. They have one more month to graduate. “Next month you will receive your weapons and go out on your first mission. I hope you all can make it back. Mavericks are still out there.” Soldjer always worries of her unit. Some of her reploids in her unit will conduct intelligence and negotiations. The day is almost over. They have 3 more hours before they can go home. “Let’s go over our training.”

“Yes ma’am!” They all said.


Zero’s unit was in battle again and so was X. Mavericks have attacked in the 45th district.

“X! You okay?” said Zero through a communicator on his arm.

“Yeah. Some of my men are injured. I’m sending them back to the base for repairs.”

“Alright. Be careful. Over and out.” Zero and his unit were up against a gigantic bear maverick. It was looking hard but his unit was trained to not give up with out a fight till the end. Same with X’s unit. These are the two best units you can try to get in at the headquarters. Axl is in the S class unit like Zero, but most of the time the boy is out learning of his ability, which remains a mystery to all. Some of Zero’s men were getting injured but they all want to fight to the death.

One reploid was slashing away with his saber, the other blocking with his shield to protect him from the claws of the bear reploid. The maverick reploid growled in anger. He was being fired by others while some were slashing at him. Some were even blocking his attacks.

“Don’t give up men! He’s almost down!” shouted Zero. He sees that the maverick is about to be defeated. It looked tired and is about to fall. “Keep it up men! He’s almost down!”

The men and women shouted in victory and all delivered the final blow. All of them fired at once, the others slashed at it as the maverick bear collapsed. It roared in defeat, then it exploded as it died. The hunters yelled in victory.

“Mission accomplished.” Smiled Zero. He is proud of his unit.

In X’s unit they too yelled in victory as they defeated a beetle maverick. Some were slightly wounded. Tonight will be a great victory for all.

8pm

The dinner hall was filled with reploids from different units, most from unit 17 and 0 units. Tonight, everyone is celebrating the victory of X and Zero’s unit for the new recruits on their first hunt and others are for the new graduates. Soldjer’s unit will be graduating next month and is planning a party. Unit 14, 16, 20, and 2 are also graduating next month.

Soldjer and Signas were already there since they’ve done their job for today. Alia, Douglas and Lifesaver were also there as well.

“Hey everybody.” Said a voice.

“Hey. It’s Axl!” Said Zero.

Some of Axl’s friends came over to greet him on his return. Signas came over to him and so did the rest.

“Any news on your ability?” said Signas.

“No. Nothing yet. I looked everywhere. High and low. Still nothing.”

“Don’t worry. You’ll find more information.” Said X. He has always been confident on Axl finding on his ability.

“I haven’t gotten any information on the data base either. Sorry Axl, but I’m positive I’ll find something there and I will keep looking.” Said Alia.

“Thanks everyone. I see you’re all having a party.”

“Yeah. X and Zero’s new recruits have defeated their first maverick.” Said Douglas.

“And others here are graduating. Next month will be another party. Soldjer’s unit along with others are also graduating.” Said Lifesaver. He attended to the wounded hours earlier and they’re doing fine. They are celebrating along with others.

“Wow. I sure missed all the action while I was away.”

“You sure did Axl. Hey! Let’s get a drink.” Said one of Axl’s friends. He and the others went to the table to order.

X, Signas, Zero, Douglas, Alia, Lifesaver, and Soldjer are talking with each other like everyone else in the room.

“So X, going out with anyone lately?” asked Zero.

“No. Not yet. I don’t even have the time since Signas keeps getting me paper reports.”

“Man that sucks.”

“Are you going out with anyone?” asked X.

“Me? Sorta. Not yet either.”

“So you do have someone in mind.”

“I said kinda.”

“Who is she?”

“I’m not tellin’!”

X pouted.


Alia and Soldjer were also talking. They like to girl talk sometimes.

“So you’re going out with anyone?” asked Alia.

“Me? Yeah.”

“Oh? Who?”

“Not telling. I like to keep it a secret for last. I like to keep it a surprise.”

“Ah. I like to keep those too. I’m gonna ask a guy out sometime next week, if he’s got the time. He is a very busy person.”

“Yeah we’re all busy these days.” Agreed Soldjer.


Signas, Douglas and Lifesaver were also talking.

“Going out with anyone Douglas?” asked Signas.

“Me? Yeah but she’s on vacation in Hawaii till Sat.”

“Wow. I wish we all can go to Hawaii. I heard it has a very nice beach and a great place to surf!” said Lifesaver.

“We all do. Anyway, you going out with anyone Signas?” asked Douglas.

“Me? Sorta. We haven’t scheduled yet.”

“I see. So who is she?”

“I’m not telling, bonehead!” he said.

“Okay, okay, just wondering.. yeesh.”

“I’ll tell you when the time is right but not right now. I don’t want Zero to know.”

“Yeah he’s a big troublemaker even though he’s a jerk at times.” Agreed Lifesaver.

“Yeah. I think the reason he’s acting like this is because he doesn’t have a girl yet.” Douglas laughed.

“Yeah!” said Signas.

The three laughed.


11pm

The diner hall closed until it’s open again at 4am for the morning breakfast. Everyone left the party and had a great time. Now everyone is tired in the headquarters and all is quiet. Everyone is his or her quarters to get ready for a new day tomorrow.

Signas walked down to Soldjer’s room. He wanted to see her again. No one was out at this time now; he wanted to keep it that way so he doesn’t be seen going to her quarters.

Soldjermon was getting ready for bed. She finished taking a shower and putting on her PJ’s. She was now reading a book. A knock was heard at her door. She gets up to get it and opens the door.

“Hi Soldjer.” Said Signas.

“Hi. Come on in.” she said happily.

Signas stepped in and she shut the door behind him. “I was wondering if I can sleep with you again tonight.” He blushed.

“It’s fine with me. We have to anyway if we want to go to breakfast in the morning.”

“Yeah.”

“So what’s you reading?” He noticed the book on her bed.

“Oh it’s a very good book. I started reading it.”

Signas nodded. He never had time to read much. All he did was reading reports, keeping an eye on the situation in the maverick attacks, and daydreaming about making love to Soldjer. He loves her but it’ll take time for them to reach the ultimate level of their relationship. He just can’t wait to go out to breakfast with her in the morning. “So how was your unit today? I know your recruits will be graduating next month and I look forward to it.”

“Oh they did great! I’m so proud of my unit. They worked so hard.” She said.

“That’s good.”

Soldjer yawned and was getting tired. Signas noticed this.

“Tired?”

“Yeah. I have to get up tomorrow.” She rubbed her eyes. She got in bed and Signas as well. She turned off the light as they both cuddled together.

“Good night Signas.” Said a sleepy Soldjer.

“Good night Soldjer.” He kissed her passionately as they both drifted off into dreamland.


Next morning

Signas and Soldjer woke up early at 3am to get ready to go out on their first date. They had to wake up early to make sure no one would see them they want it to be kept a secret.
They headed down to the diner as quickly as possible before anyone else wakes up.

The diner opened right away at 4am. The bar tender, waiter and janitor came to work. Signas and Soldjer were the first to arrive. They both sat down at a window that had two seats and a table. A waiter came to give them an order. “What would you like today?”

“I will have pancakes with bacon and eggs on the side and orange juice for drink.” Said Soldjer.

“And I will have the same.” Said Signas.

The woman reploid nodded and went to give the cook the recite for the order. As they wait, Signas wanted to get to know her better.

“Hey Soldjer?”

“Yeah?”

“I like to know more about you. About your past.” He said, as he puts his elbows on the table and puts his head in his hands, like he's interested in hearing.

“Sure and I like to get to know more about you too.”

“Okay. You go first.”

“Alright now let’s see... I was born like a Digimon way in the MHHQ before the first uprising of Sigma right by Dr. Cain. I have been working with him ever since. I have been a Human/Digimon until before the 4th uprising of Sigma, because I had been killed while I was sleeping by my own brother.. When I had been rebuilt, I’ve been a Reploid/Digimon from Dr. Cain himself. Luckily that my memories and personality was intact in a hard disc drive in a super computer in the lab here. In my past; I have been an artist, a writer, a mechanic, a computer engineer, a computer programmer, an inventor, a photographer, a gamer, a party animal, and a leader of a band that I have created. Remember the seven highest ranked members that are in my unit? I created those seven myself.”

Signas was wide eyed. “Wow. I didn’t know that. I was created by Dr. Cain too but not before the Repliforce was gone.”

Soldjermon nodded. “Plus I’m a one of the extremely rare breeds apart of Digimon. It's because, that me and my brother are the only two that is part Digimon in the whole world.”

“Wow. I didn’t know that. Who is your brother anyway?” he asked.

“Evilmon. He's one of the shape shifters, but he's in the evil side, not in the good side like me. He wasn't built by me either. He was born like I was, but with Sigma instead of Dr. Cain.” She said.

“Sigma?! He rebuilt him just you are now?” he asked.

She nodded. “Yeah, Evilmon used to work here as a Human/Digimon before the first uprising of Sigma.. So, Sigma took Evilmon with him after Sigma went evil and never heard from again until I was killed from my brother himself.”

Signas was shocked. They didn’t have that in the database at all. No one ever knew about it.

“Plus I’m an expert chef, making everything taste good for others and stay healthy. Incase you didn't know, and don’t tell Lifesaver this, that I’m also a medical chief officer; meaning that I’m higher ranked in the medical field than he is.” She giggled.

“Wow. I didn’t know that either!” he laughed with her.

The order came and they both began to eat.

5am

Signas and Soldjer were done eating and headed to her quarters. Everyone will be up soon.

“This morning was great Soldjer. Let’s go out to eat again sometime.” He smiled.

“Of course. I like to do other things as well.” She said.

“Same here. I’ll think of something for us to do tomorrow.”

“How about a movie?” she asked.

“Sure, why not? We can go to the video store and see what they got tomorrow night. Everyone will be gone by then.”

“Okay. I’ll see you at.. 9pm then?”

“Sure. Not a problem at all.”

Soldjer leaned up to his face and kissed him. They both kissed passionately for 5 minutes then they let go. “See you tomorrow night then.”

“Same with you.” He smiled and then started to walk off heading to work.

Soldjermon smiled dreamily. She sighed happily. She couldn’t wait till tomorrow night.
