Link seemed
to fly as he rocketed out of the water. The blond landed safely onto dry land,
whilst Dark Link clung to the hylian’s chest, even though he had fainted, the
shadow still had enough consciousness left to hold on to Link.

The blond warrior laid the shadow
warrior onto his back, and examined his wounds. There was a deep gash on Dark
Link’s chest, and several scratch marks on his arms. Link also noticed something else; a scar that traveled the
circumference of his neck. The Hero of Time paled, but quickly recovered from
the shock, and set to work on saving the wounded brunet. He took out a bottle
of pink potion, and several linen bandages from his large, green sock hat, and
carefully stripped the tunic off.

“Just hold on, Dark Link. You’ll be
alright.”, Link brushed the coal colored hair out of the shadow’s eyes, which
closed some time ago. The hylian held the wounded elf up, mainly supporting his
head, opened the bottle, and poured the magenta colored potion into the
brunet’s mouth. It took the whole bottle of potion to heal the deep wound up to
the point that it stopped oozing. Link wrapped that wound, along with the other
smaller scratches, with the linen. The blond saw quicksilver-like tears run
down Dark Link’s face. “Dark Link, what’s wrong?” he asked, concern permeated
his voice.

The brunet
opened his eyes slightly, and stuttered, “I-I
love you, Link, but I know that you don’t love me” his tears welled over
again, and he began to cry. Link embraced the elf, and he let him sob into his
chest. ‘Dark Link, that isn’t true at all. I do love you. I love you with all
of my heart.’ The blond thought as he held the brunet in his arms.

Half an
hour later, day had turned completely into night. Dark Link was fast asleep in
Links arms. The Hero of time was carrying the black haired elf to some place
that they could stay. He knew that traveling at night was dangerous, but he had
to risk it. The most obvious route was to go to Hyrule castle, but when he
reached the palace, the drawbridge was up. “Damn it.” Link swore under his
breath.

Suddenly,
he saw a light shine far from the west. Link carefully ran towards it, hoping
it was at least a place where the two of them could stay.
