Not Gonna Get Us

A/N: Sorry for the long wait, writers block, bleh, here it is.

-----

"Oh you've got to be shitting me!" Rain thought inside of her mind.

The city was trashed. Beyond trashed. Debris of all sorts littered the sidewalks, shattered glass upon the pavement, blood dripped from the walls. She wanted to scream, she wanted to kick a piece of a glass bottle across the fucking pavement. But as a trained soldier, she knew better. Any sudden movements, any noise, would triggerse tse things. No, in Rain's opinion, those motherfuckers. The sky was still light out, but not by much, the sun was going down, and fast. The last bit of light, cascading down to bring out the dark highlights in her dark brown hair, had finally disappeared, and soon, Rain was left on her own. But that didn't stop her.

----

A heartbeat was all she could hear, her own. Holding onto the shotgun in her hand, her eyes downcast, taking a breather. Moaning could be heard around the corner. Shit, only two shells left. But she was prepared to take them down. And soon, Umbrella themselves. Taking a deep breath, quietly, Alice began around the corner, spotting....a child.

But she couldn't be deceived, the small petite being did not speak, did not whimper, it staggered. A small child in a private school unform, pigtails and all...dead as a door nail.

"Oh God..." Alice thought inside of her mind. The small moaning of the zombie-like child ringing in her ears. The tall blonde peered away from the wall, as she backed up right into another zombie. not even squeaking, she moved in, loading up the shotgun, as she pulled it back, and fired. Straight into the forehead. Now triggering the attention of the child zombie, as it rampaged toward her.

Alice's deep blue-green eyes widened, as she aimed the shotgun towards the small child's forehead, and fired. The thing immediately fell back, the back of the head smashing with a sick squish.

She knew she was going to vomit, she could feel the vile rise in her throat.

"They're dead..." she thought to herself.

Dead....

The whole fucking city was dead. The only one that wasn't were her, and ...whatever survivors had well, survived.

-----

Slow. You had to move slow. In this case, that's what Rain knew to do. Peering around the corner, her dark hazel gaze met the darkness, as she spotted no one, and heard no moans. But that didn't mean they weren't near by. A small fire was set ablaze in a large trash can near by, she could feel the heat radiating off from it connecting with her cold body.

Without another thought to the locked door, the brunette leaned forward in the darkness, taking a large piece of gravel, but not too large, just mediem sized so it just barely fit in her palm, as she chucked it at the glass door.

Immediately the moans were heard, and before she could even run for the shattered glass door, the moans grew closer. But she was not going to get bitten again. They were right behind her, they had to be. Without a second thought, Rain took off, running as fast as her legs would carry her, heading down the alley way, she could smell death around her.

Turning a corner... SHIT!

Three zombies started to stagger, and two more behind her. She caught sight of a metal linked fence, taking her chances, she sprinted for it, and clawed her way up it, as one grabbed her leg.

"Get off fucker!" Rain spat at it, as she kicked him in the head with a sickly squish.

Finally half way up the fence, she got to the top, dropping down. Wasn't so high, but they couldn't climb thank God.

And if there was a God...

He had really fucked her over this time.

To Be Continued.
