Chapter 2
Disclaimer: I still do not own Warhammer…except for my happy little slice and dice witch elves! Witch Elves OWN all…*evil sadistic grin*

I sit on a stool while the mage puts both of his hands on my temples. Sialivan translates. “He says to concentrate on yourself. Everything from your first memory to now.”
I do: my hopes and dreams, the guy I have a crush on, my fears and peeves, the Middle East and the problems there, everything…The mage grunts and removes his hands.
Sialivan translates again. “He wants to know what Vir-gin-ee-ya Beach is.”
“The city where I grew up.”
The mage goes into a long speech, stopping every few sentences to let Sialivan translate. “Apparently this combination of alcohol and this…paint thinner…combined with your elven blood brought you here…”
“So this is just a dream, right?”
The mage begins to chuckle for an unknown reason. Sialivan asks him what is so funny and the mage answers. Both stare at each other for a few moments before just bursting out laughing. I glare. “What the hell is so funny?!”
Sialivan translates to the mage and he answers me: “Do birds really do that?!”
“Do what?”
“Explode when you give them this al-ka-sel-ser?”
I nod and grin evilly. “Bird cannot burp the way we do. Alkaseltzer s ths the gases inside a body expand. The gas has nowhere to go inside a bird, so…”
The mage laughs and asks Sialivan a question. “He wants to know if you have any of this…thing.”
I sigh and shake my head. “Nope.” I think. “But I know how to make it!”
Several hours later, I hold up a tiny pill in my hand. All those hours in chemistry class paid off… “Finished!”
We go outside and I place the pill in a clearing. Seeral minutes later, a bluejay comes and eats the pill. It just sits there for a few moments. The mage looks at me questioningly. “Just wait.” I snicker.
The mage looks back at the bird. It’s gotten fatter. I hold up my hand and began a nonverbal countdown---3…2…1!
The bluejay explodes with a poThe The mage ducks behind the table with me and Sialivan with a horrified look on his face. Sialivan and I just stare at each other for a split second. He smirks, I snicker and pretty soon, we’re both laughing our asses off. The mage starts chuckling and pretty soon all three of us are wiping tears away from our eyes.

I’ve been here by my count, three months. Sialivan’s gotten a few things straight: don’t touch me when I’m sleeping, don’t touch me when I’m bathing and don’t touch me if I don’t want you to touch me. He found those out the hard way…
I’m being taught to fight with swords. YAY! I love swords. My choice style here is the sword and dirk style. Sialivan is teaching me.
I think I’m falling for him…he’s cute in a delicate way.
But there’s nothing delicate about the way he fights. I’ve seen him in practice. He’s strong and fast…He looks so, I don’t know…manly…stripped to his pants and fighting with two swords against the elves rushing him.
I’m watching him now; my practice session is done. I pass all areas. I lean back in my chair and sigh contentedly. A hand places itself on my shoulder. “Hi, Eltharion.”
“You’re getting along quite nicely…”
I smile. “Yeah, this place beats Va Beach any day. Nothing ever happens there!”
Eltharion chuckles. “I meant with Sialivan. He’s quite taken with you.”
I am utterly shocked—someone actually cares for me? Wow. “Seriously?”
“Yes. But give him some time; Sialivan is not the type to come out and say it.”
I can honestly say I like Sialivan as well…but I’m not sure how much.
~~
Later that night, Sialivan comes to my room. He’s still sweaty from his workout, but the workout pays off—he’s gorgeous.
“Can I help you?” I ask.
“Just wanted to talk…” Sialivan raised his hands in a defensive gesture. I motion to my bed, and he sits down on it. “So…tell me about yourself.”
I blink. “What’s there to tell?”
“What you like, what you dislike…” he moves closer. I back up and stare at him.
“Are you trying to seduce me?!” I demand.
“Why yes, yes I am…” He grins and takes me in his arms. He’s so gentle. Why am I not fighting him? He leans in closer and smiles. “Sooo…you gonna tell mout out yourself or am I gonna have to tickle the answers out of you?”
Before I realize it, Sialivan lets go of me and begans to tickle me. “HEY!! Stop…haahahha! STOP!”
“Say uncle!” he teases.
He tickles me until I cry uncle, then lets up. I jump up and pin him to the wall. “I win!” I say with a satisfied smirk. He does a surprising thing next.
He leans forward and kisses me on the nose. I just stare at him, jaw dropped.
“You know, you’re cute when you get flustered like that…” Sialivan moves his hands from my grip to my sides and pulls me closer. I can’t resist and don’t…
He pulls me closer. Our bodies are now pressed together. I can feel him through the thin pants I’m wearing, getting harder. He puts a hand on the back of my head and pulls it towards his.
We’re ess then a millimeter apart when we both hear a pounding on the door. “Lillithienne??! Sialivan?! Are you two in there?! Code gold! Code gold!”
Lillithienne—my elven given name. Turns out that my mother actually WAS an elf.
Anyways, I jump off of Sialivan. Code gold means there are Dark Elves around…
I pull on my fighter’s clothes and armor and report to the fighter’s gathering quarters. Eltharion turns in my general direction. “Lillie, this is for real…this is no drill. Get back to your quarters.”
A smarter elf would have done so. I have never prided myself on my intelligence…
“I’m coming with.” I say firmly.
“Lillie—“ Sialivan starts to say, but he is interrupted by a horn. Everyone begins to leave the gathering hall to the outside. Before he leaves, Sialivan looks at me, pleading. “Please, stay here…for your own safety. Dark Elves are not to be toyed with…”
I just nod my head, angry at missing my chance. evereveral hours later, I am patrolling the hallways with the others that were left behind to check for intruders. It’s me and three more elves: Karahati, a young female; Bijuen, an older male; and Mordachai, a mage.
Something rustles behind me. I turn and see a pair of dark red eyes coming at me…
A sword comes down—definitely Dark Elven made… I dodge and it clips off a bit of my hair. Not hesitating, I shove my shortsword into the druchii’s side. He gasps and drops.
We all tense, waiting for another attack that doesn’t come.
“There’s no one else…” Mordachai says after visually scanning the area.
I look around. “There is…I can feel---aah!”
Now this was a time I was VERY unhappy with being proven right… Something slides itself into my back, about the level of my floating ribs. I turn, pullig the sword out of my and whirling my own around. A pair of surprised reddish eyes are cut in half.
I look around. “Now there’s no one else…”
The last thing I see is Kaharati reaching out her arms to catch me.
