The evening was beautiful, pleasantly warm with few clouds and a slight breeze.
The sun was just sinking below the horizon. Taki had been outside for ten minutes when she sighed and turned. *He’s not coming…*
A hand grabbed her elbow and pulled her gently back.
“Hey!” Surprised, Taki turned, her hand in a jujitsu chop. Another hand grabbed her wrist.
“Shh, it’s me…” Taki turned to find herself staring into a pair of clear brown eyes.
“Heishiro, what are you doing here?! You shouldn’t be here…” ot rot releasing Taki’s wrist, Mitsurugi Heishiro lowered the woman’s hand and put a finger on her lips. “Shh.”

It was dark now…Mitsurugi pulled Taki into the woods gently. He held a candle in his left hand while guiding the woman around trees and logs with the right. They stopped at a clearing and Taki’s curiosity got the better of her. “What are we…?”
Mitsurugi let go of Taki’s hand and set the candle down in a circle of stones filled with dry tinder. The tinder caught and soon there was a small fire contained by the stones.
