Recruitment Drive part 2

Arya, Lydia and Erik turn their horses off the road, and ride into the wilderness. Keeping their horses at a steady trot as they start riding down a mountain. Arya pulls back on the reins to, slow her horse down as she approaches a narrow path, in between a cliff face and a rushing waterfall. Shadowmere carefully chooses his footing, as he walks down the narrow rocky path. Lydia looks down towards the bottom of the cliff, where the waterfall crashes on the rocks below. They can feel drops of water from the waterfall, splashing on their skin, as they ride passed the rushing white water. Arya and Lydia can both hear Erik's heart beating a little faster than normal, his horse walks just mere inches from plummeting to certain death."Isn't there an easier way of getting down this mountain?" Erik said, his voice sounding a little nervous. "There is, but that would be taking the long way around." Arya said. She looks back at Erik."It's alright Erik, take a deep breath and calm down. I've taken this route many times and never had any problems." She said. Lydia looks back at Erik and smiles. Erik has a hard time making out her smile, because he can't see as good as she can in the dark, but he can tell that she's smiling at him."How long have you've known Arya?" Lydia said, to Erik so she can keep his mind on something else other than the thousand foot drop next to them. As they continued riding down the path. "Um, not very long. She passed through Rorikstead a few months ago, and helped convince my father to let me be an adventurer." Erik said. "That was nice of her. What did you do before you changed lifestyles?" Lydia said. "I was helping out with the crops around the village." Erik said. "So you were a farmer?" Lydia said. "Yes, spent my whole life doing that. But I couldn't see myself breaking my back in the fields until I was a feeble old man." Erik said. "What about you, how long have you known her?""Ever since she was given the title of Thane, after killing a dragon outside of Whiterun. That was about a year ago, now." Lydia said. "Aww okay. What did you do before you became her housecarl?" Erik said. "Um, I traveled around Skyrim. Exploring ruins, collecting bounty money on bandits, and other things." Lydia said. "Then I returned to Whiterun and started training to be a housecarl, and the rest is history." "So you were an adventurer too?" Erik said. "Yeah. I grew up in Whiterun, watching the Companions and wanting to be just like them someday. When I got old enough to be on my own, I started traveling." Lydia said. "Where did you learn how to use a sword?" Erik said. "My father was a Thane in Whiterun, and he taught me everything I know. He wanted me to be Thane, but like you I wanted to do something else with my life. He didn't object." Lydia said. "Where is he now?" Erik said. "He died defending the people of Whiterun, when a group of bandits attacked the city. While I was visiting a friend in Riften." Lydia said, her voice sounding a little angry and sorrowful."Sorry I didn't mean to bring a bad memory." Erik said. "It's okay, I've accepted it a long time ago. That's why I came back to Whiterun, to honor my father's wishes. I'm not a Thane, but being a housecarl to the Dragonborn is a tremendous honor." Lydia said. "Have you ever tried to find the bandits responsible for your father's death?" Arya said, as she acknowledges the fact that she had been listening to their conversation the entire time. "I did, but the trail went cold and never found them." Lydia said, just as they reach the bottom of the mountain and continue riding beside the river. "I know some people who can look into it, I give you my word. We'll find them, and you can bring justice to your father's killers." Arya said, as she stops her horse at the water's edge so he can get a drink. "Thank you Arya, you're a good friend." Lydia said, as she let's her horse get a drink of water. Erik stops his horse next to Lydia's, and allows the animal to have a drink. Arya looks up at the sky."We need to get under cover, it's going to be dawn soon." Arya said, as she pulls the reins to the right and kicks Shadowmere into a trot. Lydia and Erik follow behind her. "Why? I wouldn't mind feeling the morning sun." Erik said. "Well I wouldn't, so keep up." Arya said, as she kicks Shadowmere into a gallop. Lydia and Erik do the same to their horses."Where are we going?" Lydia hollered out over the sound of pounding hooves, and the wind rushing by."There's a cave nearby that I've used before. It should be empty." Arya said. "And if it isn't?" Erik said. "Then we'll have fun clearing it out." Arya said. Erik shrugs his shoulders, he didn't completely understand why the women had to stay out of the sunlight. He was too busy fighting off forsworn Rorikstead, to see what Arya had done while she was in combat. So he doesn't know that she and Lydia are actually vampires. The horses run fast around a boulder, and up into the hills. Arya pulls Shadowmere to a stop, once she comes to the top of the hill. Where she can see the cave, and the bandit standing guard outside the entrance. Lydia and Erik join Arya at the top of the hill, just as an arrow whips by their heads. Arya quickly glances at the horizon, and sees the glow of the sun coming over the mountain tops. Knowing that she's going to lose the ability to use her vampiric abilities, Arya makes a hasty decision despite knowing how Erik might respond to it. Erik's eyes go wide with surprise, as he sees Arya's body burst into a cloud of bats. That quickly swoops down the hill, then quickly reforms back into the form of Arya, next to the bandit. Arya's hand moves faster than Erik's eyes can see, as she claws the bandit's throat out, then she tosses the lifeless body aside like a toy. Lydia and Erik hop off their horses, as Arya waves to them. Arya runs into the cave, as her housecarl and the young man run towards the entrance of the cave. As the sun peeks over the top of the mountains, Lydia groans in discomfort as her head begins to ache, she squints her eyes, as it becomes hard to see in the blinding daylight. When she gets inside the cave, she breathes a sigh of relief as her head stops hurting, and her vision can focus again. "Shor's beard, that was unpleasant." Lydia said. "I know. Sunlight can't kill us, but does make things difficult." Arya said. "What the fuck was that about!?" Erik said. "Shh, we're not alone in here." Arya whispered, as her sensitive ears pick up the sounds of people moving around the cave. Lydia quickly pulls her sword and gets her shield ready. Arya smells the air inside the cave, her body tingles as she smells the scent of fresh blood. "These bandits have a few elves with them, so be ready to encounter some spells. The bandit leader is a master vampire, but he's not of our blood. Still be careful." Arya said. "The bandits must be his thralls, they probably go out during the day to find any unsuspecting travelers to kidnap and bring back here. There's a vampire fledglings, as well." Arya said. "How do you know that?" Erik whispered."Feral vampire blood gives off a fowl stench." Arya said, as her loins begin to burn at the smell of vampire blood. She's been wanting the opportunity to take on one these creatures. After all, there's only room for one group of predatorstudents at the top of the food chain .Erik gives Arya and Lydia a suspicious look, as his heart begins to race with fear."Erik calm down your heart sounds like a drum pounding in my ears." Lydia said. Erik grits his teeth in anger, as he grips the hilt of his sword. Arya and Lydia both hear the sound of the sword being pulled from the sheath. Lydia quickly spins around with her shield ready to block an attack from the young man, just as Arya rushes in and drops him with a single punch to the face."Sorry kid, but we don't need you doing something stupid." Arya said. "Will he be okay?" Lydia said. "Aside from the headache he'll have, yes." Arya said. Lydia chuckles at Arya's remark."Come on, we've got a place to claim for the day." Arya said, as she pulls her sword. "Kill any vampires, leave the thralls alive. We're going to need them alive long enough to feed on until nightfall." Arya said, "Oh yeah, beheading is the only way to kill a vampire.""Of course my Thane." Lydia said, as her and Arya sneak deeper into the cave. When they get to an area that opens up a bit, Arya silently leaps towards a nord bandit, cracks him on the back of the head with the pommel of her sword. The nord falls to the ground. Lydia does as Arya did, and leaps over a bandit who is sitting on a chair in front of a camp fire. Lydia knocks the bandit out with the blunt end of her sword and rolls the body away from the fire. Lydia looks at Arya and smiles. "I see you're enjoying your new powers." Arya said telepathically to Lydia. "Yeah it's pretty neat." Lydia said to Arya's mind."That's only the beginning. There are so many more abilities you haven't even begun to tap into yet." Arya said. "I can't wait." Lydia said, as she walks towards Arya. Arya smiles and says. "Come on." Arya and Lydia make their way through the cave. They come to another opened area, where a bandit is leaning against the wall, close to the corridor they're using. Arya can smell the mead in his veins from where she's at, and can tell the alcohol is starting to make him drowsy. She sneaks up to him, and lands a swift high side kick to his face, as he falls to the ground his iron armor makes a sound. That alerts the bandits sitting at a table, eating and drinking. They stand up and grab their weapons. One of them picks up her bow and loads an arrow. Lydia's vampiric sight can see it all in slow motion, and her ears can hear the bowstring being pulled back. She hears the archer take a breath, Lydia quickly steps in and brings up her shield to protect her Thane, a second before the arrow is loosed. The arrow sparks as it bounces off the steel ridge of Lydia's shield. A second bandit fires an arrow, that Arya quickly dodges. The bandits watch as the redhead woman moves so fast all they can see is a blur, as she leaps to the side, as a third arrow is fired at her, then leaps towards them, and lands on the table and does a swift spin on the table and knocks three of them down with a series of kicks. A bandit brings up his battle axe, just as she does a cartwheel off the table, then sweeps his legs out from under him. Lydia yells out as she charges forward, she steps up onto a wooden barrel and jumps up into the air. She lands behind the archer who fired the first arrow. The archer hits Lydia in the jaw with her bow, Lydia quickly recovers and looks back at the archer. The archer's blood turns cold with fear, as she sees the in Lydia's crimson eyes as the housecarl bares her fangs with a low growl. The archer brings her bow up again, but a swift swing of Lydia's sword chops the archer's hand off, then Lydia runs her sword up through the archer's chin, blood gushes out as the blade comes out the top of bandit's head. Lydia catches some of it in her mouth and swallows it. Lydia sees a greatsword at the corner of her eye, she brings up her shield and blocks it, and pushes the bandit back. Lydia pulls her sword from the dead archer's head. The bandit swings his massive sword again, Lydia quickly ducks under the blade, moves around the bandit, slicing the tendons under his arm then slicing the back of his leg open. The bandit falls to his knees, as he loses control of his leg. Lydia finishes him off, by hitting him on the head with her shield. Arya does a back flip and kicks the battle axe out of the bandit's grip, then lands a kick to his head with the force of a sledgehammer, knocking him out. Arya turns around to face the other two bandits standing there with their weapons ready. Arya's eyes switch from one then to the other, watching to see who makes the first move. The bandit with the war axe attacks first. Arya quickly brings her sword and blocks the axe, then bring the sword down, as the second bandit goes for her legs with his own sword. The clash of steel rings out, as she whips her sword from side to side, up and down, blocking each attack that the bandits try on her. The one with the axe begins to tire, from using a heavier weapon. His attacks become slower, giving Arya the perfect opportunity to make her move. She catches the axe under the hook of the blade, and turns her blade and locks the axe around her sword. She grabs the bandit's wrist and flips him over her shoulder, and onto his back. The bandit with the sword hollers out and rushes in recklessly, with his sword held out to the side. With a swift slash of her sword, the bandit's sword arm comes off, then she spins around him and slices at the center of his back, severing his spinal cord and paralyzing him from the waist down. Arya smiles at her handiwork, then brings her sword up to her mouth and licks some of the blood off the blade. "Where in Tameriel did you learn to use a sword like that?" Lydia said, as she steps over the bandit on the floor, as she walks up to Arya. "It's a long story." Arya said. "I'd like to hear it sometime." Lydia said. "Some day I'll tell you all about it, but not now. We still have a bunch of vampires to deal with." Arya said. "Right." Lydia said. Arya and Lydia continue on deeper into the cave. The way to the leader's quarters are clear of anymore bandits. When they get to a large room, lit up with lanterns and a camp fire, they see two elves standing with their hands ready to fire off spells, and a tall, mountain of an orc, dressed in orcish armor and armed with an orcish greatsword. "So you're the two cunts that invaded my cave, and attacked my men." The master vampire said, as the women approach him. When they get into the light, his expression changes when he recognizes one of them."You!?" The Vampire said. "Do we know each other, or something?" Arya said, as her and Lydia stand on the other side of the camp fire. The master vampire and his underlings feel a mix of fear and rage at the Vampire Lord and her companion. Who threatens everything all lowly vampires fight for, their right to survive. However, there are a few vampire fledglings that feel a twitch in their pants or tingle on their clits, something they haven't felt for a very long time, as their eyes feast the Vampiress. Unlike them, who look very vampiric with their cold, dead grey skin, facial features that resemble a bat in some ways, fangs that don't retract like Arya's or any of the other vampires in her family, and these feral beast have an insatiable thirst for blood. Arya and her kin are able to blend in better with the mortals, and they know how to manage the thirst. "All vampire kind know of you?" The Master Vampire said. "You killed Harkon, and claim the throne for yourself." He said. "Yes, that's usually what happens when you kill a king. Something none of piss ants could do." Arya said. "Besides none of you are worthy of the throne." She said. "Molag Bol doesn't let the first dieseased filth to come along, have rights to the Throne of the Vampire Nation. Only members of the family and those who have proven themselves worthy to the Daedric Prince Molag Bol." Arya said. The Master Vampire's eyes shift over to Lydia. "So you and your bitch have come to perge the land of us dieseased filth." He said. "My name is Lydia." Lydia said. "And to be completely honest, no we're here to get out of the sun." Lydia said. "So, a cave full of fresh thralls and vampires is good a place as any, am I right?" The Master Vampire said. "We need to keep our skills honed, and killing vampires is always good practice for that." Lydia said. "Which would be no problem for two vampires, like you" He said. "Survival of the fittest." Arya said. "If you think we're going down without a fight, you're sorely mistaken" Borgol said. "I'm always up for a good fight, I live for it." Arya said, as an evil smile appears on her face. "As do I." Lydia said, as she feels the aderline going right to her loins. "Now if you're done talking, let's get on with this fight for Talos sake." Arya said.To be continued. ****************Next chapter is coming soon. I fucked up on the last update, so I had to rewrite this one. Let me know what you guys want to see in the next chapter. Thanks for reading. Again I'm sorry that the chapter is all clumped together, I keep editing it and it doesn't fix the problem. Hopefully the next chapter isn't like this, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
