read more carefully

A review left by someone who didn't even want to type "anon":

"Yes, Link has a sister. Last time I checked Aryll is not spelled Z-E-L-D-A."

1. OMG! They both have blue eye and blonde hair! That must mean that they're related! - Yes, because everyone with blonde hair and blue eyes is related.
2. OMG! Link only has a mom! Zelda only has a dad! They must be related! - Following your logic, I'm my best friend's sibling and the sibling of millions of other people in the world. No. Plus, Link's father = knight, and yes, Nintendo has stated this. And the Queen couldn't be Link's mother. First, why would she run Link to the Kokiri Forest and leave Zelda behind? Why the hell would she run out into the middle of the battlefield anyway?

Okay, so everyone in the world that has the same hair and eye color, and (if paired together) are missing one opposite parent, are related. - ...Right."

As I pointed out in my author's note in the preceding chapter, this fanfic is about "The Legend of Zelda, the Ocarina of Time" and not about any other Zelda game, and if you were reading more carefully, the Queen did not run out onto a battlefield. She had a body guard and they were on their way to the Forest Temple after Ganondorf, a week BEFORE the seige began, attempted to assassinate the Prince. Does that sound too complicated? They then became trapped in Kakariko Village because the bodyguard thought that Hyrule Field was too dangerous at night. The Queen took Link because the King needs to stay and rule, and they honestly didn't think they'd never see each other again, or that Ganondorf would lay seige to the town. They probably assumed that Ganondorf could be dealt with diplomatically, and were not expecting him to attack Hyrule. She didn't take Zelda, because she's not the heir to the throne, nor was her life in jeopardy.
