The next move

To say Tasha had been surprised to see Scot was a little bit of an understatement. In fact she'd just about gotten to the 'I likely will never see him again' point and his whole pleased to see her routine was something of a heart wrench. Not that she didn't care about him but she'd got used to not seeing him, that was the difference. And seeing Scot reminded her that Omen was still out there...somewhere.

She'd smiled softly, accepted his comments as to how she looked good now, and even accepted his request to run errands with him. A few in Zabra'jin then one that took them to a far more dangerous looking place, though it looked more peaceful.

Nagrand.

The Mag'har were a strange people, Orcs that seemed somewhat removed from the Orcs she knew. But they were warmer towards her too and more welcoming than she'd had in a while. Not that the trolls hadn't welcomed her, but this was a family sort of thing, more than the 'she be hot I wanna do dat' she'd heard from far too many of the trolls of late. And it was at Garadar that she met the most remarkable Orc yet.

They called her Greatmother.

The old lady was ill anyone could see that. Healers were in almost constant attendance and she was watched like a hawk by the people around her. That didn't stop her from talking with so many, including the most important of all the Orcs. Thrall.

It was several weeks after Tasha's arrival out here, and she'd spent a good part of the day covered in Ogre blood. Scot had taken on a request to recover a lot of missing supplies and Tasha had felt somewhat obliged to assist him. Not that she minded helping, she still enjoyed his company but she knew that the moment he felt that he was getting too close, that he might "hurt her by being there" he would back off once more and she'd be left hanging. They had killed in near silence, a word here or there to indicate targets but more or less a well oiled machine that made for close to effortless killing. It was as they walked back towards the village he made mention of her perhaps asking the Greatmother about her relationship issues. Tasha had almost fallen over laughing as she thought on that.

But she remembered it. When she entered the large tent she headed for where the eldery woman usually sat and found that she was occupied. By Thrall. Tasha stopped, backing up a step only to be surprised by the two beckoning her forward. Hesitating a bare moment she moved to kneel where she normally did, bowing her head reverently at Thrall before leaning to embrace Greatmother gently.

And from there....things went a little strange.

Over the next hour or so, her elders questioned her gently, about her worries and fears, about her life before reaching Nagrand and her hopes for her future.

"You will be strong among your people Tasha, and if you would take it I would offer you a place among those that fight in Northrend." Thralls voice was surprisingly soft, low tones within the room, keeping her affairs among them she supposed. Greatmother nodded her approval Tasha thought but her eyes were drawn back to the male Orc as he spoke once more. "But before you go there, I would ask you medidate, take a walk with the spirits. Ask them to show you the path you should be on, because now it seems your feet might well have strayed from that"

Tasha nodded and smiled softly.

"Thrall ah be 'onored ta take up ya offa ta be a part'o'da fight 'gainst da forces o'da LichKing. An' ah take ya advice dere as well, coz ah ain't sure o much else. "

And she leaned forward to place a soft kiss on the cheek of an elderly woman, and her revered warchief before making her way to where she had left her belongings, to sleep and prepare for a long spirit journey.

When she returned to her body she found the note...."I have accepted the challenge by the Dark Lady and will be journeying to a place called Howling Fjord, to aid in the fight there. I wish you well."

The parchment burned nicely.
