Which ever group slipped up would be put on the chopping block. If works screwed up, the people would cry for their dissolution. If the Hunters fucked up something the big wigs would have the ammo the need to shut them down.
Ash had to play this very carefully. He couldn’t attack the WORKS men without setting off a civil war. He, Dr. Montague and Eleanor hid while they tried to come up with a plan. They had to distract the guards. Montague offered to short out a nearby computer terminal. Then a guard would have to be sent to check it out. Ash said that would really work well if there was one guard instead of ten. What could possibly keep ten men occupied?

“Dude! You’ve got to check this out!” One of the WORKS soldiers had come back from investigating the disturbance. “Hey, get everybody! This is goddamn awesome!”

Ash, Eleanor and Dr. Montague walked past the WORKS checkpoint with no trouble. The men were in a nearby alcove, watching the monitor there. A live video feed from Sue’s apartment was all that was necessary to keep ten well trained men from doing their duty.

Deep in the ruins Ash, Eleanor and Dr. Montague finally found the Doctor’s other female android, Ult. She was attached by several cables coming out of her back to the ceiling. Kireek was also there. Of his old body only his program had survived and had been merged with the giant machine Vol Opt, the boss of the mines.
He gave a stereotypical evil villain speech about how he was using Ult, who had a new form of reactor powering her, to awaken his master, Dark Falz. He also claimed responsibility for killing Susan; the woman had died near the beginning of the story. He also explained that he did all this because Dark Falz promised him he could become human if he worked for him and gave Kireek his Soul Eater Scythe. Also he wandered into a metaphysical thing where he tried to explain to them that all this was Falz’s plan, and that their souls were all part of Falz that needed to return, and that Cloud’s memories were fake ones created by the Jenova cells in his body and that’s why Sephiroth had control over him.

Anyway, Ash and Kireek fought again, however Kireek was in Vol Opt and Ash already knew Vol Opt’s pattern so he was defeated easily.

Once Kireek was defeated, Ult’s reactor core was still going critical. The Doctor explained that the manual shut off switch was inside Ult, and to get to it they would need something long and narrow. He also said Ult was giving off a magnetic field so that no metal tool he was carrying would do the job. Ash, having lived through the previous chapters in this story, read between the lines. He stripped down and pulled his dick out. Dr. Montague said the switch was in her throat and Ash walked over to the prone android and put his dick in her mouth.

Dark Falz had been the evil influence which had been corrupting the creatures on Ragol, and with his destruction the aggressive creatures became docile. Finally the people of Pioneer 2 were able to land on Ragol and begin their new lives.
