Time...again
Tasha jumped as the first alarm sounded then stopped stock still, listening for more. It came, and it was accompanied by the sound of running feet. Those without the ability to fight against well seasoned alliance would either find a place of safety or good scouting places to spot enemies as they invaded the city. She looked to Omen then nodded towards the inn, one of the safest places in Orgrimmar.
"Go dere mon, help protect da lil ones dat come wid fam'lies. Ah gotta hep defend da city." She pulled a small package of food from her bag and began devouring it, raid food it was, magically embued to assist in times of great need. Then a potion to assist her spellcasting, she knew that would be important. Finally a protective scroll upon herself and a check her bag contained an ankh and she was ready. As she looked back up she realised he'd not moved. "Watcha waitin' fer mon dey be needin' ya help."
"Ah gonna help ya defend, ah go where ya goes." He had cast the spell for his best armor and swallowed potion as well, but his talents he knew would likely just get him killed very fast. Still stubborn pride would not let him hide. She shook her head and whispered a spell, shifting to her wolf form and running off. Muttering a soft Darkspear curse he ran after her but with all the milling about, lost her within seconds. A nearby guard told him that the most able fighters were meeting up in Thralls chambers, the usual place for an alliance raid to head and Omen gave the man his thanks and began to run as well.
Tasha arrived there to a lot of Horde, many elders among them. Troll and Orc, Tauren, Forsaken and a few Blood Elves, she tapped the arm of one, asking permission to join the defenders. The Taurens brow raised, as if questioning her youth and experience and then invited her to the group. Nearby she spotted Imon and Kuu, waiting for the raid to arrive. Darcie and Attican both standing near the door seemed to vanish as a voice called out from the front door...'Incoming, bottle them in the first entryway if we can,'. She moved forward to a point that she had know to work once before, setting out her totems. Earthbind, Wrath, Windfury, Mana Spring. All that would be needed for the defenders. Earthbind to slow down the attackers, Windfury and Wrath helped increase their abilities and the mana spring was as much herself as others.
And then the first ones hit the entrance.
Within seconds the room was a chaotic mess, filled with the alliance raid, guards and defenders. Living and breathing, wounded, dying and dead. It was clear to the attackers that this time they were severely outnumbered and outsmarted. She heard the calls in common, but only a few words made any sense at all, one being retreat. One by one she watched then fall, casting lightning bolts about her, chain lightning, frost shock, watching for those that needed healing and casting chain heal. Even taking her mace to a gnome that had stopped right in front of her and laughed as the short warrior fell at her feet.
It was then the Draenei hit her, his blade carving a line into her stomach. Tasha managed to summon the energy for frost shock before falling to the ground. He was one of the last ones standing that she could see and his action had been to bring her down before he was chopped to pieces by the defenders, oddly taken down by a druid and a priest standing a few feet away. She watched the enemy fall and decided that she would lie there a moment until someone could aid her with healing, she could feel that she was far closer to death than she liked but with still some fighting going on her healing would have to wait.
From the doorway Omen had watched the fighting, knowing that he was no threat to those that had attacked he was hidden by the door...til he saw her fall. In shock he jumped forward to attack the Draenei that had hurt her, to be seen by a dwarf as he moved. The hunter smiled as he used what would turn out to be his last living action to kill the troll mage, before being sliced to ribbons by a pair of rogues.
Tasha shuddered and tried to move, crawling over to the troll that had spoken to her before the raid had begun. Something about him now was more familiar and she wanted to help, heal him so she could figure this all out. As she reached his side he smiled, reached out a hand to her and whispered softly.
"G'bye luv."
His hand slipped from her grasp, and he breathed no more.
