Stolen
Title: Kingdom Darkness
Chapter: Stolen
Rating: R [ NC17 later on. ]
Pairings: Riku – Sora
Comments: I just heard some info about Kingdom Hearts Two, which is due to come out in Japan near the end of 2004, and summer 2005 for America. This is from the trailer at the end of the game [ you gotta find all 99 puppies, seal Winnie the Pooh and the Colliseum ]. Some say it’s a preview from KH2. Featuring one he ‘he ‘unknowns’. Kinda like the Heartless Mafia, if I had to say. Their kinda nasty. But anyway, of coarse I had to modify this from that ending. And incase you all didn’t notice, those flashbacks were memories that Riku was having. Their gone, as is his heart. They might pop up again sometime from Soras POV, don’t know yet. Anyway, on with the ending.
“ Speech “

/ Mental Speech /
Squaresoft and Disney own Kingdom Hearts, and I make no money from this.
The gummy ship was quiet.
The last small fibers of snow were finally melting in Sora’s fine chestnut hair. But he was still dreadfully cold, despite the blistering warmth inside the ship. Goofy had turned the heaters on full blast.
Pluto beside him tucked his long head into Sora’s lap, peering up at him, awaiting. And he didn’t look away until Sora face his sleek head a pass with his hand, then another.
Donald glanced back at Sora, swallowing thickly, “ So, where do ya think we’ll be going next?”
“ Somewhere without snow, I hope!”
“ Where do you think we’ll be heading… Sora?” Donald looked around his seat again. Sora was asleep.
“ Aww… leave him, Donald. He needs a good rest.” Goofy nodded to himself, play-toying with the steering wheel. It did no harm, since the ship was programmed to go a certain track, thanks to Chip and Dale. They were probably operating the ship’s internal functions from the castle…
“ Hey! “ Donald sat up quickly, and begun searching the control panel. Goofy, who had grown board with play-steering, lazily opened one eye to look at his feathered friend.
“ What is it, Donald?” Goofy yawned widely, playing his hands under his head. Donald looked at him, grumbling under his breathe.
“ The intercom!” Donald squacked and returned to his search. Goofy didn’t seem interested, though, not bothering to even look.
“ That’s good, Donald… “ Goofy mumbled. Donald lowered his head to stare across the panels, perhaps for one button standing out above the others, but a little spec in the corner of his eyes announced that they had arrived to the next world.
From up there, it looked blank; there was indication of a wide ocean, and thick forests with mist drifting dreamily between the branches like coiling snakes. It didn’t even look as though life resided there.
At least, not until the sloping peaks of small homes, built long and wide, became visible. Were they going to a world with nothing but nomads? Some kind of…strange pre-historic people? Donald nudged Goofy in the side.
“ Hey, we’re at the next world!”
“ Mmph? Lemme sleep, Donald.” Goofy yawned again. Meanwhile, the world was growing closer and closer, until all he could see was nothing but masses of green spearing out all around them.
“ We cant sleep! We’re here at the world already!” Donald shoved him, good and hard. Goofy slipped sideways out of his seat, rumbling the floor of the ship, and thusly rousing Sora.
“ Whats going on?” he asked tiredly, balled fist rubbing an eye like a young child may do. He first looked at Goofy, who was trying to get up, but vibrations from the bottom of the ship scraping against something made it rather difficult. And turning his head, he saw branches wiping past the window.
“ We’re at the next world!” Donald yelled, much louder than what was nessicary, and then slipped forward from the chair and slid along the slick floor until he hit the back wall.
“ What is it?” Sora asked, startled, right before they made a violent landing. They skipped across the ground like a stone to water, before settling in a round clearing. A few animals quickly leapt away, leaving the area baron.
“ Gwarsh, Donald.” Goofy exclaimed, going to the door and looking through the porthole there, “ There aint nothin’ out there.”
“ Maybe we scared away whatever did live here.” Donald said ruefully, scuttling up from the floor and brushing off his pristine feathers. Sora pushed Pluto’s head off his lap, who had somehow managed to remain asleep, and approached the door beside Goofy.
Goofy opened it a moment later, and it clanked loudly when it smacked the outside wall. It all looked so mystic and peaceful, with the call of a bird somewhere in the distance. The pine were smelling strongly, so that scent was almost overwhelming. Some gentle wind was causing the grass to wave at them, almost in greeting.
And yet, there was something wrong. Sora couldn’t quite place his finger on it, but definitely something. Perhaps it was how that same bird seemed to grow closer and more numerous, until they were surrounded by the sweet prang of bird calls.
“ Donald!” Goofy whimpered, trying to hide himself behind his small friend. And failing so miserably, “ I’m scared.”
“ Get over it.” Donald raised his staff, though he couldn’t quite stop his hands from shaking some. Sora’s hand had gone over the smooth handle of the Key Blade, not yet raising it in defense.
Slowly, like creatures born of the mist, braves drifted out from between the tree’s, frosted with the drifting mist as they came closer. Their faces had red streaks carving down, black hair tied back, faces stretched in anger. Vicious looking speaere ere raised, all pointing toward them.
“ What are they…” Sora heard himself say in wonder. They were getting closer and closer, spears raising and readying with each slight step they took. There came a call in the distance, something he couldn’t understand, and all the braves let out a call like wolves.
Sora bent covecovered his head. Goofy and Donald did much of the same, yet the spears did not hit them. Carefully, Sora raised his head a slight inch, his bright eyes widening at what he saw. A woman, with long free hair, stood before them, her arms outspread. The braves had stopped and did not seem intent on hurting the woman.
“ Get out of the way!” One of them called. The woman did not budge.
“ I wont, Kokoum. “ The woman called back, taking a step forwards. The spears lowered a little bit more.
“ Things like them are hurting out people! We can not let them take more lives than they have!” Kokoum rose his spear, threateningly waving it at Sora, Goofy and Donald. The woman was looking at him steadily, and remaining before them.
“ They have no evil in them! I can sense it…”
“ Pocahontas, Please move!”
“ I wont! I will not let you hurt them. And if you do, I shall tell my father.” She was backing towards them now, grappling for them blindly, and grabbing a hold of Sora’s collar.
“ Running back to daddy, I see…” Kokoum lowered his spear, and the rest of the braves followed in suit. Pocahontas begun to pull Sora away from the ship, Goofy and Donald following quickly.
“ You wont get away with this, not for long.” He called as they quickly retreated into the forest, their still forms disappearing in a light mixture of mist and thick tree’s and bushes.
“ Err… thanks a lot!” Sora said, rubbing the back of his head nervously. Pocahontas did not look back, only continued to lead them.
“ You can defeat them?” She asked, pushing aside some of the branches.
“ The Heartless?” Sora asked, nearly surprised, “ Yeah, um… I guess I can.”
“ I had a dream about you coming here. To help us.” Another branch was pushed back and a camp was revealed. There were fires lit and food cooking, people moving around slowly. But there was something wrong here; people were laid out on soft furs, being tended too.
“ What’s wrong?” Donald asked, a second before Sora was planning on.
“ My people have been getting ill. Every time those monsters come, another falls ill.” Pocahontas wandered to an old woman seated beside the fire, who was bent, cheek rested on her fist, “ We do not know what is wrong with them. “
“ We can stay, and help ya till everyone’s better!” Goofy said, Donald looking ratherprisprised.
“ We have something to do, Goofy..”
“ Awww… come on…”
Sora only stood and watched from where he was, his eyes growing sad, “ Riku, what have you done?”

Nothing.
Felt nothing, saw nothing. As though a life of striving had turned to be a broken promise. His head was bowed, and he could hear the rain. Along with the pungent smell of dirt, he could almost see it; almost.
His head rose a little when some spark came to him; Ansem had not been able to destroy his will, though his heart had been completely shrouded and stolen. He stepped into the downpour, his head bowed.
The Heartless were moving; all about this town, flowing in a constant current. He couldn’t see them, but he could hear. He stepped most carefully down each dark slate step, lifting his head when wind blew and allowing rain to sting his bare neck.
Someone was here. A wielder… double wielder. The power of the Key Blades were blistering, so much so, that he held his own, born of darkness, even that more tightly. For a moment, he could it was him… no. There was no way that he could have made it here. Not by now.
“ Where is Sora.” He bellowed, drawing closer to this figure. He blindly turned his head, straining to try and locate this person more accurately, with the impairment of the black blindfold tied tightly about his eyes, underneath white hair.
This person did not answer, but the darkness hissed at the sound of the name. He sloped his head down for a moment to gather his wits, and took another cautious step.
“ I want to help you.” He said, but there was a tone to his voice. It was dark, “ But I cant. So step down!”
The Duel Wielder said nothing, and took the first steps towards the large and imposing heartless, all clumped together in such a way that it was difficult to distinguish one from the other, despite their glowing yellow eyes fiercely rolling.
He lowered his own dark Keyblade and tilted his head back, so that the hood fell back and water roll free down his face, high cheeks and soaking into the blindfold. He was sure it was dark outside, by the way the heartless were keening.
/ Dark…/ He smiled in a rather sinister way, / I wish I could see it /

/ I’ve down all I could to make you happy /
/ And you smiled, laughed /
/ Been a great friend… /

/ It never seemed like I did… did it? /
/ I call you names, teased… I can even remember the way you looked at me /
/ When I hit you. You didn’t hate me /
/ You said you loved me. I don’t doubt it /
/ But I wish I could love you. / . /
/ … Take care of her, Sora /
End of Chapter Eleven.
Not the end. Far from it… I plan on making this thing rather long. Till, as I call it, the conclusion of the game. Or my own version. Now that I read the Japanese overview, I can follow the story line much more closely now. Maybe help give perspective on people who want to know more?
