Chapter 10 - Forced to wear clothes, ugh!

Infiltrating Sun City where the evil Eclipse ruled, to find Project Zero Dawn. It sounded risky enough. But the worst problem was that by now they were all on the lookout for a redhead who travelled nude. To infiltrate the city, Aloy would have to put clothes on. She gritted her teeth, remembering how she had struggled in the Proving to be allowed to go naked like the other Nora warriors.

On the outskirts of the city, Aloy found a young woman alone in a tent. She sneaked in and grabbed the girl, quickly gagging her with a strip of cloth. She squirmed and made muted sounds of protest, but when Aloy proceeded to remove the captive's clothing she tried to scream through the gag and struggled more violently. What was wrong with the girl? What was so bad about looking like a proud Nora brave, fully exposed to the All-Mother? "Shut up! I won't hurt you. And I'm getting the worst of this deal, having to wear your rags" she whispered.

Leaving the girl bare and tied up, Aloy reluctantly donned the Shadow-Carja robes and joined a group entering the city. The clothing chafed and itched, and reminded her of when she was a shamed outcast. She was inwardly screaming with the urge to tear it off. The voice of Sylens sounded through her focus: "You don't look too bad." The Nora language had only one expletive, considered really filthy. Nobody knew its origin and Aloy had never used it before. "Go burka yourself, Sylens" she hissed.

As soon as she reached the hidden catacombs below the city, Aloy stripped off the robes with great relief. There she found most of the answers she sought. Elisabet Sobeck had created Gaia, the most advanced AI ever built, to recreate earth's ecosphere once the Faro robots had destroyed it. This was Project Zero Dawn. Gaia took shape as a hologram of a beautiful black woman, wreathed in swirling green bands as clothing. Aloy saw recorded scenes of Sobeck explaining Gaia to other scientists.

Then the audience rose and left. Elisabet sighed in relief and removed her clothes - Aloy already knew she practiced nudism. The green swirls around Gaia vanished so that she too appeared as a naked woman. Her breasts were large, her hips broad and she had a benevolent smile. Aloy realised she was looking at the All-Mother, in whom the local tribes believed. "Inquiry - why do you cover your body and my image when others are present?" asked Gaia.

"Naked bodies embarrass some people. It's irrational, but just take my word for it" replied the scientist.

"It will be my duty to clone and educate the new humanity when the time comes" said Gaia. "Shall I ensure that no such embarrassment exists in their minds?"

"Perhaps you could delete from the Apollo knowledge database any religious or social taboos against nudity" mused Elisabet. But then she said  "No, don't tamper with it. Let each community decide for themselves."

"Yes" said Gaia. "Variety is desirable. Perhaps I will make sure that at least one group follows the naturist philosophy of Elisabet Nora Sobeck."

Aloy smiled in wonder. But her reverie was interrupted. A group of Eclipse including their leader, Helis, rappelled into the facility. Helis saw three naked females, two white and identical except for hairstyle, and one black. Two of them disappeared, leaving Aloy alone and hopelessly outnumbered. As several of the men captured her, Helis' focus scanned her vulva. Hades' ghastly mechanical voice was heard: "Identity match completed. Result positive. Terminate the entity."

Helis demanded to know who the other women were. Aloy just glared at him. "You'll talk", leered Helis. "To start with, we'll continue our unfinished business from your so-called Proving. I will turn your pussy towards the sun." Aloy was tied and led away naked by this heavily built man. She could now guess the meaning of his last sentence.
