Nearly ten minutes after Rayne watched Simon leave her room, Bella came in to see her. “How are you feeling Rayne?” Bella asked her softly.

“Like I’ve just been burnt by sunlight.” Rayne watched as Bella approached holding a large pitcher in her hands.

“Well, you’d better drink up then. You’ll need your strength for tonight.” Bella told Rayne as she handed her a glass and began filling it with the human blood inside the bronze pitcher.

Rayne looked up at her confused. “What are you talking about?” Rayne downed her glass of blood and poured her second glass.

Bella sat down the pitcher and looked back at the door before leaning close to Rayne. “I’ve been ordered by a fellow employee of Brimstone to have you delivered by midnight.” Bella leaned back slowly.

Rayne studied her face for a moment, “What? How would you… You aren’t in contact with Brimstone.” Rayne shook her head with great disbelief that a Nazi had contact with her agency.

Bella reached into her bra and pulled out a small necklace with a symbol Rayne recognized immediately. Looking up at her confused Rayne downed another glass of blood. “So you’re here to get me out of here all of a sudden?” Rayne asked her unconvinced.

“Yes. Those are my orders.” Bella nodded her head once.

“So basically you decide to mess with me sexually and then try to save me? Sounds believable.” Rayne glared.

Bella shook her head with a small smile upon her luscious lips, “Do you honestly think if I hadn’t been convincing I would have been able to just stroll on in here to save you?” Bella asked Rayne.

Rayne poured herself another glass and swallowed down its contents. Bella seemed fairly sincere, but Rayne had to wait it out to see for sure what the plans were. Looking up at Bella she decided to seek further information. “So, what’s the huge plan to get me out?”

Bella dropped her voice low, “I told Sigmund you were being traded to Kagan for the safety of the army. Likely by the time they figure any of this out, we’ll be out of here and on the way back to brimstone. If you don’t believe me,” Bella removed a knife from her belt and tossed it on the bed beside Rayne, “Hide this somewhere until I can come and take you tonight.” Bella watched as Rayne examined the knife; now Bella was starting to sound good to her.

“As for my previous intimate encounter…” Bella smiled rather pleased, “I’m fairly satisfied we can both treat it like adults.”

Rayne looked up at her, “That’s what you think. I’m not likely going to forget it any time soon.” Rayne didn’t bother to hide her smile.

Bella nodded, “I’ll be back later with some boots for you, I suggest you put some sort of outfit together for tonight or you’ll return to Brimstone in your birthday suit. Not that it would bother me any; I just don’t feel you’d appreciate it.” Bella turned on a heel and headed out of Rayne’s room satisfied with their conversation.

Rayne hid the knife under her mattress hoping the twins wouldn’t notice it should they come inside her room. It seemed her plans didn’t matter; she was being rescued for the first time in her life.

***

Finishing the pitcher of blood hadn’t been an issue for the deprived BloodRayne; she managed to gulp the rest of it down several minutes after Bella had exited her room. To her great surprise her door opened once more by eight o’clock.

“Simon? What are you doing here?” Rayne wondered why he decided to visit her without Sigmund; it was rather unusual.

Simon looked weary as he walked inside, “There’s no time to talk, Rayne.” He approached her quickly with her clothing.

Rayne took it in her hands and looked at him questioningly. “What are you doing? Why are you giving me these?” She questioned as she noticed her twin blades among the items in his hands.

“Take these, wear them immediately.” Simon told her before looking fearfully back at the door.

Rayne squinted as she hurriedly stood up and began dressing herself in her leather clothing she had been captured in. It was highly possible Simon was involved in what Bella was but it wasn’t entirely for certain. “Simon, what are you doing?” BloodRayne asked as she laced up her leather top as soon as she got her pants and boots on her slender feet.

Simon handed Rayne her twin blades and watched as she attached them comfortably to her forearms. “I heard about your father; I know he’s planning on attacking but I can’t allow him to take you. I don’t feel it necessary to explain… you must hurry, I’ll get you out as best as I can.” Simon said to her as quickly as he could in English.

“Simon… I can’t-” Rayne shook her head.

“Now! Come on, I’ve got a way out.” Simon assured her as he gripped her arm and began leading her quickly out her room.

Following him she hoped her plans for leaving wouldn’t be spoiled because of this mix-up. Her boots clicked loudly off the stone flooring in the hall making her worried someone would hear her running for her life with a commanding officer that was supposed to be keeping her captive.

As they made it about three quarters of the way down the hall Rayne noticed the face she had long been dreading to see: Sigmund. His face seemed to curl into a smile at the sight of her and his brother. It was fairly clear he had been expecting this from Simon somehow.

“Well, well. It’s nice to see I can rely on you brother. You’d rather the entire Nazi party be brought down than see your precious lover be slain by the hands of her own flesh and blood. Very interesting indeed.” Sigmund’s eyes moved dangerously over his brother.

Simons face grew pale; he didn’t know what to do and it was blatantly obvious to Rayne they just hit a wall in his plan. “Get out of my way, brother.” Simons voice could cut glass.

“Awfully rich hearing that word from your lips ‘brother’.” His face seemed to grow dark and pleased.

Simon pulled a knife from his belt and held it to his own throat in attempt to threaten Sigmund. “Back away. Go to your room. Together we can leave; just wait for me there.” Simon assured him.

Sigmund shook his head, “You’d never do it.” Sigmund’s eyes were wild with excitement, “I’m not about to let you bring down an organization I intend to reach the top of.” Sigmund tilted his head to the side.

All Rayne could do was watch, it wasn’t something she ever anticipated she’d be seeing from two twin brothers who originally captured her as a sexual play toy. It seemed everything was so off in her eyes.

Rayne looked down the hallway behind Sigmund; Bella was slowly approaching from the shadows. The look on Bella’s face was of genuine shock and surprise. “What is the prisoner doing here?” Her tone was cold.

Sigmund looked over his shoulder at her, “Oh, welcome to the party my dear.” Sigmund pointed at his brother, “It seems my brother isn’t the man we once thought. He’s in fact a traitor. He’s planning to sell us out to the clan of Kagan just to save his previous prize.” Sigmund crossed his arms with a smile.

“Shall I kill him for you?” Bella asked Sigmund sharply.

“Brother, this is madness! You know if I die you die as well!” Simon shot out alarmed.

Sigmund laughed deeply, “That may be true, but if I keep you locked away in a dungeon for the rest of your life it’ll serve my purpose the same.” Sigmund’s face suggested a liking for the idea.

Simon took a step forward and let go of BloodRayne’s arm, “You wouldn’t dare. You don’t have the heart to do such a think to someone like me. I mean too much to you for that.” It was clear even to Rayne that Simon had given Sigmund far too much credit for such a belief.

“I would, actually.” Sigmund nodded as he took one step closer to his twin, “I wouldn’t have a problem with it either. Bella would likely assist me as well.” Sigmund smiled back at the brunet.

Bella nodded but Rayne could see the disapproval in her face. “Of course, sir.” Bella nodded.

Sigmund looked back at his brother, “So how is it going to be? The easy way or,” Sigmund glared at Rayne as he spoke, “The very hard way?”

Rayne did the only thing she could think of, and punched Simon as hard as she could in the face. With a thud Sigmund hit the floor. “Come on, we’ve got to get out of here.” Rayne said to Bella.

Bella nodded while Simon looked from one woman to the other, “You’re… on her side?” Simon asked rather confused.

“No time for pleasantries, we have to get out here; your brother could wake up at any moment.” Bella insisted as Simon threw his twin over his shoulder and began to run for the exit out of the castle; Bella ran ahead of them.

“What about Kagan?” Simon’s voice was high pitched with pure confusion about the whole situation.

“That’s a lie. What your brother said was what I told him to get him to release her into my custody.” Bella assured him as they kept running for the door.

“Wait, I didn’t hear that from Sigmund.” They all stopped running as they reached the castle exit.

“Then where?” Rayne asked concerned.

Simon looked from Bella to Rayne, “I heard it from the radio in the control room. Apparently the vampires are striking an attack here tonight. It said on the radio something about intercepting a radio message from Brimstone.” Simon said to them receiving shocked looks.

Bella looked from Simon to Rayne, “This is bad. Brimstone and Kagan have been hunting each other for years. If Brimstone doesn’t know he’s coming then it’ll be a bloodbath and it’s very unclear if we could even possibly escape this place once Kagan gets here.” Bella informed them.

Rayne looked down, “Then we’ll fight.”

“Fight?” Simon gripped her shoulder, “Are you mad? He’s got an entire army out there. We’ll die in the crossfire!” Simon yelled angrily.

Rayne looked into his steel blue eyes, “Not so likely… not for what I have planned.” Rayne smiled.

“Care to fill us in on this plan?” Bella asked flipping her dark locks over her left shoulder.
