Chapter 10
Soldjermon’s Death
Signas was in tears as Soldjermon in his arms was almost going to die. “Soldjer...”
She opened her eyes to see Signas. “Signas..” she coughed up blood from her mouth. She was bleeding heavily.
Her unit arrived as well. “Soldjermon!!” They all said. They see her in bad shape. Voyager was in tears already. The others were angry at Evilmon on what they did to their friend. Delta went over to the wounded and saw that they were okay but in serious condition. Lindsay was the worst he saw. Her scar has reopened and she was healing slowly. It’ll take hours or months for her to heal.
“Soldjer.. don’t die on me. Don’t die!” Signas wept.
“Si.. Signas. Take... my.. saber. It’s the.. only way... to kill him.” Said Soldjermon. Her death was near.
Evilmon laughed and he attacked her unit. Voyager was hit first and was punched back 10 ft. Delta attacked him. “This is for Soldjermon!!!” Evilmon smirked as he went invisible and fired beam shots at everyone. They were hit back 10 ft.
“Aaa.. arrghh!!” said BMW.
The others groaned in pain as well. Now they were injured like all the rest of the group.
Signas was holding Soldjer when he was suddenly picked up by the neck by Evilmon’s hand. Soldjermon fell on the ground. She was not dead just yet.
Everyone else around them was shocked and angry while they were all injured, seeing of what Evilmon was doing, holding their general by his neck and attempting to assassinate him as well.
Evilmon laughed as he held Signas by his neck. “I’ll kill you as well. I’ll let you join your pathetic wife in hell!”
Signas was having trouble breathing from Evilmon’s powerful grip. He tries to struggle free from Evilmon’s grip, but it was no use as his grip was getting tighter. “Heeheeheehh.. There is no escape!”
Signas had her saber and Evilmon didn’t notice. He remembered that Soldjer told him that the saber can kill her brother since it’s also made of light energy.
“I killed her and I’ll kill her friends when I’m done with you! Then this world will be mine and I’ll make all reploids all across the world be my minions!!” He laughed as he lifted a hand full of dark energy. It was enough to kill Signas. “NOW SIGNAS!! DIE ALONG WITH YOUR WORTHLESS WOMAN!!”
“Urgh... You're the one... Who's going to.. DIE!! This.. Is for Soldjermon..!!” Signas said as he stabbed Evilmon in the heart with her saber.
Evilmon was shocked. Her... saber.. full.. of good.. light.. urk!! His body fell as the saber was still in his heart. Signas went back to Soldjermon to see her. “Soldjer...”
“You... did.. it.. Sig.. nas.. but.. I’m...”
“No... you can’t!”
“Don’t.. be sad.. someday.. like.. Lindsay said.. we will... see.. each other in the... afterlife.” She said as she coughed up more blood as she closed her eyes for the last time. “I’m.. glad.. my brother is.. dead. Now.. we both.. can rest in.. peace. Signas... take.. care of our.. daughter and son.”
“I will Soldjer. Don’t die!” cried Signas. He was crying so hard.
“I... love you.. Signas...” she said as she gave her last breath.
“Soldjer? Soldjer! Soldjer!!” he shook her to see if she will wake up. She wouldn’t. She was dead. “SOLDJERMOOOOOOOONNN!!” he cried, holding her body in his arms for hours.
Alia, Douglas, and Lifesaver, along with some reploids to help out, were at the scene. They took everyone back to the headquarters for treatment. When they got there, Signas was not letting go of Soldjer’s body. Back at the headquarters, Leon and Melissa were in their room with Douglas and Cecilie, told them that their mother had died by the hands of Evilmon. The two kids were in depression and have cried for the last few days. They were being taken care of as Signas and the rest were in the hospital to recover.
Lifesaver was going over medical reports. He tended to everyone’s wounds and kept checking on them. Lindsay was in worse shape and had to be tended to her scar. Nurses stitched up her back for 10 hours long. Zero was out of the hospital wing within 10 days and so were the rest. He comes by everyday to check up on his wife. Zephyer was also with them but was having a hard time coping the nightmare when Soldjermon was killed. Everyone was.
For the next 2 months, they had Soldjermon’s funeral. They decided to bury her in the cemetery behind the headquarters in the garden. It was her favorite spot where her and Signas spent time talking to each other and had their date. They also come to see the sunset and look at the stars. Signas was in depression as Leon and Melissa were with Douglas for the next few weeks.
Lindsay and Zero however never had sex for months since Soldjer’s death either, which is unusual. Usually the two would makeout or make love but this time everyone was not in the mood for maverick hunting or anything. They lost a friend, a family. To Lindsay, Soldjer was more like her sister. The two were close and they spent a lot of time talking about their husbands and hang out all the time like play games. Now she’s just sitting in bed on her back looking at the ceiling. So far no predictions on what’s to come. Zero just cuddled up to her to give her comfort. Zephyer was in his room too and sometimes cuddles up and sleeps with his parents. He too was having nightmares.
X and Alia were also in deep thought about the horrible events. So was Lifesaver. Everyone took a vacation for 7 months till everyone was out of depression. Some even went to the doctor’s office in town for evaluations. The results were the same. Everyone was in severe depression but Signas was far worse. He never came out of his room and Douglas had to come in with food. He even tried to cheer Signas up by making jokes, but he never attacked him or budged out of his bed. Douglas was very concerned now and decided to leave him alone until he cheered up.
Soldjer’s unit were also upset and in depression that their commander and best friend had died. They were even angry at Evilmon that he killed her. But now nothing could be done. Soldjermon was dead and can never be brought back to life.. Or so they thought.
A year later
Signas was in a bad mood. He kept shoving everyone out of the way by force. Lifesaver saw him do this and became very worried. He never seen Signas do that before. He decided to call Signas to his office so he can talk with him.
“Now Signas. Lay down on the bed. I want to know if you are alright.” He said.
Signas laid down as Lifesaver used the X-Ray on him to find what the problem is. “Hmm... It seems that Evilmon has put the virus inside of your body before he died.”
Signas sighs. “No wonder I've been in such a bad mood recently to everyone..”
“You would have to be in a anti-virus capsule for a long while, until the virus is completely wiped clean from your systems.”
“Alright, I will take it. At least I won’t be like I am now.” Signas said, while frustrated from the result.
The next day Signas was inside the capsule for a while till the virus was eliminated. Leon and Melissa have visited him a lot while he was sleeping inside. Douglas and Cecilie were taking care of them.
Lindsay and Zero have gone back on their love making while Zephyer was playing with Signas’ kids. X and Alia have gone back to work as usual.
Lindsay concentrated on Zero’s movements as he made love to her. The two were sweating like crazy as he moved. “Unn... Zero..!”
Zero panted hard as he rammed in her from behind. “Mmm.. yeah babe..” He was going slow for today. Usually he is rougher and faster at their love making. It seems he wants to savior it for the first time. Good thing he did lock the door so no one would come in. Their son won’t be back till nightfall.
For the next few months as Signas heals from the virus inside of his body, everyone was out of depression. Still, they will never forget the horrible day she died by the hands of her brother. The day she died will be a holiday for the headquarters and honor her for 2 weeks.
X, Axl, Zero and Lindsay have gone back to their usual duties as Maverick hunters. Zephyer is 4 years old now and soon he too will join by his mother and father’s side. Zero will hand over the maverick hunting job to his son while he goes back to his unit and train more of his soldiers. Lindsay had told the government and gave them a warning not to retire Zero at all. If they laid a hand on him or any of her friends, she will destroy them. The government decided to follow by her rules and decided to not retire reploids. Like humans, reploids can now retire when they want to switch jobs. They won’t be turned to scrap metal unless they died. They even decided not to scrap Soldjermon’s body since she meant so much to the headquarters. So they decided to let them bury her as a memorial site to honor their friend. They did this because they knew Lindsay will be after them and kill them without mercy. Reploids around the world were now like humans and treated like one as well. The laws have now changed.
