I am Legion
When I was born I was part of a primitive tribe witch would eventually be conquered by the Legion thank god, but not before heavy resistance. When the Legion first started it’s war agents our tribe I was only a boy of 8 summers but I had always had grate skill in both hunting, and fighting, I had such skill with the tribes most common weapon, the bow, that I could drop a running Big Horner with a signal shot from near impossible distances, and could best warriors 10 summers my elder in signals combat.
Then the war started and all the worriers where called on to fight them and though most the boys my age where left in the village instead of being sent out for raids and ambushes, or as part of the war bands, but I was to skilled to be left out despite the protests of my mother. I started the war as I child who was to good at fighting for my own good, but I would end the war a different person. At first stopping the legion would seem easy, we would ambush a patrol hear, murder a few scouts there, raid a camp or supply caravan every now and then.
Little did we know that all we had been doing was killing recruits, they where new to battle and unable to adapt to our gorilla tactics. But that all changed when the veterans arrived they fought with savage brutality and unbelievable skill they wear every thing that recruits weren’t, they where disciplined, effective, and highly experienced, after they arrived we realized we made a serious mistake crossing the Legion with in a month they had slaughtered, and burned there way through the forests and in to the hart of the village, and the elders ware given the extreme honor of being allowed surrendered to Caesar himself, but when they did all I remember feeling was intense rage then excruciating pain then I blacked out.
When I woke up I was lying on a bed in the village medicine mans tent looking up at one of the local girls I remember her looking sad and wearing some kind of collar and thinking “how strange?” then I heard a voice from the door. “Get out girl.” She bowed her head and said “Yes sir” as she walked out of the tent, I followed her with my eyes until I saw where the voice had come from it was Caesar and one of his Praetorian guard. He walked over to the bed I was on, pulled up a chair and sat down.
Then I asked “So why give it to me, why keep me alive? I’m the enemy. ”
“It’s part of the deal you take that bow and use it to kill my enemies and you become part of the Legion instead of being lashed to a cross. Deal?”
“Deal. On one condition”
“What is it”
“The elders, the ones that surrendered, kill them all then we have a deal”
He laughed and said “welcome to the Legion” as he got up and left.
