Rise's initiation
This is the sequel to Foreshadowing Change. So far I only have the intro down. Expect the meat of the story soon. Still, to whet your appetites ^_^
--------------------------------------------------------------
Chie’s head was in a spin as she cradled her face in one hand and chewed her pencil. She couldn’t believe it. Rise? THE Rise!? In Inaba of all places? At the moment it was only the odd snatch of gossip, but Inaba high wasn’t the place where these kinds of ideas formed themselves from thin air. Nothing happened here. Well, nothing until recently...
“Satonaka! You daydreaming over that celebrity city bint or something? Figures. I always said short hair on a girl can only mean one thing. Get your head out of your ass, it’s just a rumour you silly girl.”
There were a few sniggers from the darker corners of the classroom. Chie blushed and looked down at her desk, before anger started bubbling up to overwhelm the embarrassment. Trust King Moron to come out with some shit like that. How dare he say that to her! She was about to launch a verbal barrage to rival her martial arts moves, but Morooka beat her to it.
“Since you know so much you don’t even need to listen, you can surely tell me what the 6th closest planet to the sun is, right?”
Chie’s mind drew a blank. Short of Souji-kun whispering the answer, she was paralysed. She took a stab in the right direction.
“J-Jupiter?”
“Wrong!’”
Chie rolled her eyes. The pleasure on King Moron’s face was ‘wrong’ in so many ways. She hadn’t seen anyone that happy since Kanji’s shadow in the sauna, and nobody but nobody, especially not a 50-something year old man, should be THAT happy in a classroom surrounded by kids.
“It’s Saturn, Satonaka! Or should I say, SatURNaka!”
An audible groan went up amongst the students.
“Hey! That was funny!”
Chie sighed. King Moron was a genuinely deluded man.
As he droned further in to his lecture, Chie drifted back in to her reverie. Since her experiences with Yukiko, she had become open to the idea there was a part of her burgeoning sexuality that yearned for the touch of a woman. Yukiko was immensely dear to her, but she knew her friend was on the same page as her. After saving Kanji, Chie and Yukiko had relaxed with a little ‘down-time’ at Chie’s house and the two had got on to the topic of discussing fantasies...
‘Well, who would yours be?’
‘Apart from Souji-kun?’ Yukiko giggled. ‘Probably that girl on TV. Oh what’s her name...?’
Chie’s ears pricked up.
‘You don’t mean Rise Kujikawa?’
‘Yeah that’s her! Hey Chie, how did you get that so quickly? You’re the same way? Snrrk...’
‘N-No, it’s not...well... maybe a little.’ Chie’s cheeks glowed bright red.
Yukiko couldn’t resist the opportunity to tease her friend.
“ ‘Just a little’? I know what that means in Chie-speak, snrf! You rub one out every night over her don’t you?”
“Yuki-chan!”
“Tell me I’m wrong...”
Chie winked at Yukiko and snuggled up to her friend, looking deeply in to Yukiko’s eyes.
“There’s only one girl for me.”
Then she drew Yukiko in to a passionate kiss, and Rise had been forgotten. Until now that is. The bombshell had dropped, and much to Chie’s disgust with herself, she found herself wishing for a situation that would entangle the three of them. Even the TV world, if that’s what it took. A morally sound girl, she realised how awful and selfish this was, and fought hard to banish the feeling.
Happily Morooka didn’t pick on her for the rest of the day. Yukiko caught up with her at the footlockers after school. Chie fought hard to stifle a grin as Yukiko walked up to her daintily, hands clasped behind her back. It half-irked her that Yukiko kept up this innocent act. Then she remembered it was part of what made her so cute. And after all, that was who she was: not so much an act, but the real Yukiko...except when driven by the kind of lust her ‘prince’ instilled in her. Chie couldn’t stop herself from grinning this time. She turned back to her locker, pretending not to notice raven-haired temptress. A few seconds later she felt her skirt lift slightly and a sharp pinch on her left bum cheek, and she whirled round to confront the culprit.
“Yukiko!”
“Snrk! What is it Chie?”
“Not here!”
“There’s nobody around. Besides, it’s fun.”
Chie glanced around. Sure enough the corridor that she could see was deserted. Not for long though, as Yosuke came hurtling around the corner. Yukiko whipped her hand from under Chie’s skirt, concealing it behind her back. Yosuke was full of beans, skidding across the floor to his footlocker, Souji trailing behind him with his characteristically stern expression.
“Rise! RISE! Here in Inaba! Dude, first you, now a celebrity! This place is definitely picking up.”
“Oh, so us country bumpkins aren’t good enough for you?” Chie chimed in indignantly.
“Hey I never said that. It’s just... I suppose you’d have to be a certain kind of girl to understand, heheh.”
“Yosuke you’re gross,” said Chie plaintively. “Why can’t you be more like Souji-kun?”
“What THIS guy? Chie, you should see the stuff he keeps under his futon!”
Souji stopped dead and straightened up, eyes wide. Then he rounded to glare at Yosuke, disbelieving.
“Err anywaaaay,” Chie grabbed Yukiko by the arm, “we’re off, so see you tomorrow.” The two girls marched away quickly, failing to hide their surprise, pleasant as it was.
The next day saw Yosuke and Kanji cajoling Souji to join them in a trip to see what all the fuss was about. Rise had apparently arrived, and a cavalcade of predominantly male students and fans had descended on what was now understood to be her grandmothers Tofu shop in Inaba shopping district. Chie and Yukiko stayed clear, though inwardly they were tempted. The boys had gone on the pretext of informing Rise to take care and watch out for anything suspicious, as per the TV world, but the girls both knew the real reason was perving, at least in Yosuke’s case...
A few days later, and such trivialities were a million miles away. Rise had appeared on the midnight channel; her outline at first, then the full-scale article. She wore a bikini, and Chie had to chide herself for what she felt when she saw Rise stood there, beckoning them to come to her, so she could ‘reveal everything’. The gang, used to their excursions by now, successfully infiltrated the strip club that housed Rise, battling to the innermost chamber. They couldn’t stop Rise’s shadow from going berserk however, and it materialised as a hallucinogenic naked woman, moving its body sensuously up and down a pole in the centre of the platform it stood on. After much confusion, and some ‘complications’ involving Teddie, the gang emerged barely alive but victorious. It became obvious in their initial conversations that Rise was somewhat haunted by her celebrity, her personality split in to many different pieces of varying truth and falsehood. The group felt deeply for her, even above their obvious excitement and attraction (particularly Chie and Yosuke), and when Rise recovered (and joined Inaba High to boot), they were only too happy to let the obviously troubled but irrepressibly optimistic and fun-loving Rise in to the investigation team. But that wasn’t the only initiation Rise would be undergoing. Not if Chie and Yukiko had anything to do with it...
