Jewel

He watched the girl from across the room, one hand still holding onto the untouched drink that had been brought to him. The drink mattered very little - it was simply something to keep the waiters away while he thought - and watched.

No, the girl was what had brought him into the building. It had been rather spontaneous, actually. She walked by him and he followed - something told him to follow. Well, technically his own mind had told him to follow - perhaps his body as well. There was something fascinating about her and he was fighting hard to put his finger on what it was.

She was attractive enough, certainly, but there were lots of attractive women in every city so that was nothing to really get him to follow. Did he know her?

No. He would remember if he knew her...or at least if she was important enough to remember.

Besides, what had started as mere unexplainable interest was quickly turning into a very defined interest. As he watched the girl biting her bottom lip and staring down at a book he imagined watching her biting that adorable pink lip as he thrust into her - he could practically hear the whimpering moan that woman would make as she shuddered.

One corner of his lip twitched up into a sort of half-smile.

He shouldn't have started imagining - now he couldn't get the thought out of his head and, as delectable as thoughts are, they only really serve to add a desire for the real thing. Not that it was a problem for him, he was quite confident in his ability to have any woman he wanted - this pretty little thing was no exception.

Albert Wesker slowly rose to his feet and moved across the room, the girl didn't even look up from her book. As he moved slowly towards her his eyes darted over her again. Short, curvy - a fine chest was hidden behind her sweater and a beautiful ass was accentuated by her jeans. The ends of her light brown hair reached her jaw line - a few strands lying lightly against her square, black-framed glasses.

Wesker reached her table and pulled out the chair, sitting down slowly. He couldn't help smirking softly in amusement to see that she still hadn't noticed him.

"Must be an interesting read."

She jumped - eyes wide in surprise and the smirk on his lips didn't fade for an instant as she nervously pushed her glasses up with a hand partially covered by the sleeves of her sweater. She was cute - he was liking this already.

* * *

Seraphina swallowed hard, pushing her glasses up the bride of her nose - why did they always have to slip down like that? She felt so silly...

"I-I'm sorry - I zone out a little when I read...I...D-Do I know you?" She was tripping over her words, she always did when she was nervous or surprised and, honestly, being startled by a rather imposing looking man who she didn't know - or at least she didn't think she knew him - was pretty good material to make her a little bit nervous.

She was embarrassed to realize that one of her first thoughts was that while he looked very imposing, he was also very handsome. His features were strong and handsome and the same could obviously be said about his body. His dark shirt was tight across his built chest, a leather jacket that looked like it was worth more than her apartment was on top of that.

"No," the man said - his voice was deep and almost emotionless, but incredibly powerful, "you don't."

Well, at least he was honest.

"C-can I help you with something?" She asked, wondering what in the world this man could want with her. She was nothing special - particularly she imagined to someone with the kind of money she assumed he did and his looks. A guy like him would walk across a room to talk to a beautiful, tall, perfectly built blonde wearing brand name clothes and a nice set of pearls - not a short, awkward, girl like her sitting in a corner with her face buried in a book and donning a fantastic off-white sweater purchased from a local thrift store.

"Perhaps."

He wasn't much for words or explanations, was he? She couldn't help thinking it though - as nerve wracking as this guy was, he was incredibly intriguing at the same time. Still, as interesting and handsome as he was, strange men weren't her forte.

"I-I'm sorry, I really need to leave...now, it's getting late..." She slowly stood up and much to her dismay, so did he.

"You're right," he said in that even, strong tone, "It is getting late. Do you have someone escorting you home?"

Goodness, was he going to offer to walk her back to her apartment? She didn't know whether to be more upset because a strange man was attempting to walk through the city with her or because said man would see the sad excuse for an apartment building she lived in.

"N-no, b-but I'll be fine..."

"You don't know that."

He posed a good point, she supposed. She couldn't know whether or not she would be fine walking home by herself, but she also couldn't know whether or not she would be safe walking out of the building with him.

His deep chuckle caught her off guard as did his next words.

"Do I frighten you?"

Oh dear. How was she to answer that? Should she just say 'yes' and then run out of the building with flushed cheeks beating herself up for both being rude and shirking of the first incredibly handsome man to flirt with her without showing mild signs of intoxication? Or should she just let him walk her home? Or she supposed she could lie and say 'no' then walk out the door and beat herself up for shirking him off...But that seemed like the answer with the fewest positives.

"Well we should go," the man said, pressing a hand against her back, encouraging her to step forward - which she did, much to her own surprise. He seemed to move her body easily - making her mind comply with the movement simply with a suggestion from that strong, even voice of his. "My name is Wesker, by the way - if that makes you feel any better."

Wekser? Was that a last name or a first name? She wanted to ask, but wasn't so sure about doing so. He seemed awfully determined to walk her home though as he moved her with him towards the door and held it open for her to walk out the door in front of him.

"Albert Wesker." he said as he stepped out as well. Well then, at least she had a full name now, not that that made anything better. It could easily be made up too, couldn't it?

"Which direction?"

She answered him by pointing to the left, the direction in which he quickly turned her - his hand still didn't leave her back, guiding her along. She couldn't be sure why she was actually letting him just guide her like this - maybe it was that imposing presence of his.

The silence was a little bit uncomfortable, but at the same time it allowed her mind to wander. She glanced to her side to see the man moving next to her. The way he moved was almost...predatory - like some wild animal stalking his prey. At the same time he seemed so in control - of both himself and everything around him. That seemed to include her.

"Here," she said, suddenly realized that they were about to pass by her apartment building. He stopped so abruptly that she almost fell on her face just trying to stop at the same time. She looked up at him to see his face completely emotional still as he looked at her building. Broken windows, trash and random objects sitting in the front yard - and that was simply the outside. If only he could see how much trouble the plumbing and electricity could give...Still, it was affordable and that was what really mattered at the moment.

"Here?" His response was absolutely full of some kind of disapproval.

Clutching her book to her chest, Seraphina nodded slowly, "Y-yeah...I...Thanks...for walking me home..." She moved towards the door as she spoke, giving him a small, shy smile as she moved.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, she couldn't really decide) he was moving with her - and his strides were much longer than hers. Eventually they ended up standing, facing each other. Her back was pressed against the door of the building and he stood in front of her, his body pressed up against hers. She could feel the warmth spreading through her cheeks as her heart began to race, pounding inside her chest.

"I would like to come inside."

He really was very straightforward and she couldn't decide if that was freaking her out or turning her on.

"I don't know," she said, her fingers grasping the doorknob, "If that would be such a good idea. I-It's not the nicest place a-and I barely know you..."

"It will do," he replied, "for now. And I have only just met you and it does not seem to be hindering me."

He was a little persistent - wasn't he?

"Well...no...b-but I...need...to go inside a-and I just don't th-think this would be a good idea...you coming inside I mean..." She didn't have the feeling that she was being very convincing and that feeling was only made stronger by that amused little smirk that was on his lips.

"What I can't figure out..." his body pressed even closer to hers and the feeling of his closeness, the heat of his body was sending sensations coursing through her whole body - sensations that pitted in her groin, "...is why you keep turning me down when it is incredibly obvious that almost every bit of you is insisting that you invite me inside."

His hand rested on top of hers on the door knob and he smirked softly saying, "I suppose I will just have to invite myself inside then - won't I?" He pushed her back into the door, opening it with her body as he twisted the door knob. Cheeks flushed, she stepped back - almost tripping over her own feet as she went, supported only by the arm that he secured around her waist.

He pressed himself into her back, walking and guiding her forward. he lowered his lips down to her ear, whispering quickly, "I would suggest that you advise me as to which door we're going into or I might just have to break down one of your neighbor's doors."

Her cheeks were flushed absolutely pink and her heart was pounding hard in her chest as he guided her down the hallway. She should be absolutely terrified - screaming for help and fighting to get away from him. To her surprise his persistence, his guiding her along, his possessive grip on her were all exciting her, sparking something inside of her - shocking her.

"I-I don't...I...Wait- here - this one..." he stopped abruptly again, but this time she didn't stumble because his arm was still securely around her waist. He turned so that she was facing the door, this time both arms secured themselves around her, his hands flat against her - one palm pressed against her stomach, the other gently brushing down her thigh. She gasped softly, the feeling of his hands on her coursing excitement and a firm shock of pleasure through her body.

"Unlock it."

The tone suggested that it was more of an order than a request, but suddenly she was more than willing to obey. She fumbled with the keys in her pocket, still clutching the book to her chest with one arm. She pulled her keys out, almost dropping them before hurrying to unlock the door. As soon as the door was unlocked one of his hands snapped to the door knob. He guided her inside upon opening the door. As soon as they were both inside he reached behind him, closing the door firmly.

He spun her around and placed his hands on her arms, looking down at her with hungry eyes.

Seraphina clung to the book - unsure whether to demand that he leave or demand that he throw her onto the bed that instant. So instead she merely stood there, mouth just slightly agape with her fingers clinging so hard to the book that her knuckles were turning white. "I-I..."

He smirked down at her, one gloved hand slowly reaching out and taking a hold of the book that she was clinging so desperately to. He slowly pulled it from her hands, holding it up in one hand and smiling down at her. He reached over and set the book down on a shelf that was standing next to them.

"You, little one, need to relax. I won't hurt you." He lifted her up with ease, making her gasp softly and grasp onto his shoulders. He moved forward solidly, still smirking at her. He pressed her against the wall.

"Unless of course," she looked up at him, her body shuddering under his gaze, "you ask me to."
