Evil within the Heart
A/N: This idea popped into my head and I felt like giving it life. Everyone always makes Link sweet and innocent, so I wondered what it would be like to make him the evil one. Set during the whole OoT storyline, but with changes. Will be eventual Link x Ganondorf, possibly others as well. Sorry if the first chapter is short.
Evil within the Heart
Chapter 1: Once a Hero
I was a hero once; in all honesty, I still am I hero no matter how much I try to deny it. My past will always haunt me no matter how much I try to flee from it. Pulling that blasted sword from its' pedestal was my undoing, or perhaps it was when I was first born that led my life down the path of ruin. Perhaps it is best to start close to the beginning of why I hate the life I had once lived...
Perhaps it was meeting her that had ruined everything, and yes I do mean Princess Zelda. Although I suppose I shouldn't be too hard on her; because of her, I had met the one I was meant to be with and became the man I am now. It all happened that day I had snuck into Hyrule Castle.
In all honesty, anyone could have easily destroyed Hyrule with an army of the guards that were left to "protect" the Royal Family. They couldn't catch a simple child who had never even left the safety of the Kokiri Forest, how were they supposed to be useful to anyone. Granted there is a chance that they didn't expect a young boy to sneak into the castle to find the princess.
She had seemed surprised that I was able to sneak into the Castle and into the royal gardens without anyone noticing; scary how she was supposed to grow into the one to wield the Triforce of Wisdom. After I had shown her the jewel I had been given by the Great Deku Tree, she had believed that I was to help her as she had seen in her dreams. I was guided to the window she had previously been spying into, her prattling in my ear rang as she mentioned some evil man that we were to stop.
My breath caught in my throat when I saw him; power rolling off such a muscular body. I could feel my knees grow weak, wondering who he truly was. When his gaze fell upon the window, our eyes met for the briefest of moments. Why did I feel like leaping into that room and running into arms? At the time, I had no reason to think that, but I had. Ganondorf; the name that Zelda had told me, a name I whispered over and over again under my breath after I had been sent off to gather the other two spiritual stones.
