Thank You, Fourms

Entry 1: Thank you, Fourms

"Perfect, the idea's perfect!" He congradulated himself as he stood from his swivel chair. For once he was not in his lab, but his own room. Over time it grew unfimilar as he would speand days on end in his lad, the white walls grew hypnotizing. As soon as Number II woke up, this would be the first thing he head about!

There was no doubt in Vexen's mind that he could pull this off. Maybe this computer Zexion gave him wasn't so bad. It was thin and small as hell, though. Laptop.

It was probably three to four in the morning and Vexen was still up, even though he hadn't started a new project in weeks. That was precisely what he was looking for on the internet. An inspiration. Even though the thought float around in his head often, he'd never thought to really start a full-on creation process.

Of course, when ideas came up he consulted Zexion to get a second opinion and possibily some supplies he didn't have himself. Things ran out, you know. Well, upon talking with his fellow Organization member, every way proposed by Vexen was shot down. Neither Vexen or Zexion ever seemed to take critism very well and both became frusturated. That had probably been the longest discussion they had ever had.

Zexion sided with the fact that beings were simple to make, a bunch of common chemicals, and what not, but they weren't as simply made as it sounded. There would always be something missing, a soul to kickstart the body functions.

Vexen sided with the fact that he could make his "person" without a heart. It could be a Nobody just like him. That way its blood wouldn't have to pump, it didn't need to breathe, it didn't need to eat. It could just "exist" like him.

Both were right in a sense and wrong in another. They contradicted each other completely. After a good hour or so, the decided on a stalemate as they both started to yell. Xigbar and Lexeaus were the comforters for each their own after that tiff ended.

--

What would be The Dawn That Never Was didn't shine as it rose. The only way to tell the time was a clock or Luqord, though choice one was probably wiser.

Xigbar growled as his alarm went off, holding his arm up as a purple laser gun appeared in it. With a single, eyes-covered shot, Xigbar silenced the annoying and persistent beeping. This was capable by a half-asleep Xigbar only because he'd done it a million times over; from which Vexen started to continuiously provide II with replacement clock.

They'd grown close enough even thought the thought they were was seemingly impossible. Xigbar liked to have things wild and fast paced while Vexen was more mild-mannered, enjoying his lab and his quiet. The Freeshooter had even taken to slinging his arm around Vexen;s shoulder every once in awhile. The scientist didn't mind the occassional personal contact the other male initated.

After a minute or two, Xigbar groaned and grmbled to himself as he threw his blanket off, sat up and then stood up. He sighed, placing his left hand on his hip and running his right through his long hair. It ruffled in the back from the movement through the strands.

A knock came to his door and he sighed, knowing who it was. "Yeah, come in."

Vexen strode in with a large grin and an alarm clock. "You really should make a pattern out of not shooting all these alarm clocks."

"As if."

The blonde shook his head ad set the clock on the night stand. "I have the perfect new experiment."

"Really?" Xigbar said in a groggy, monotone as he grabbed a fresh cloak and leather-clad pants from his drawers. The older man started to pull the drawstrings of hisbottoms, making Vexen whirl around quickly.

"Warn me, will you?!"

"This isn't the elementary school changing room, you know."

"Anyway, I'm going to make a person!"

In mid-dress, he stopped, staring at Vexen. "...Wha...t? You're going to what? Is that what you were yelling with Zexion about?!"

"How'd you guess?"

"Because he has a reason to yell then! That's nuts!"

"No, its not.." Vexen turned back around with a sort of scowl. "I think its a great idea."

"Its dangerous!"

"Its not! I'll take my time and be careful, swear!"

"NO!"
