Disclaimer:
I do not own The Legend of Zelda game series, nor any of the characters from them. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Prologue
She was his mentor; his guide. She knew better, but at the same time found it very hard to ignore the increasingly potent feelings she harbored for the Hero of Time.
It began when they had woken up together, after enduring seven years of spiritual slumber. Upon their awakening, and with the continuation of their quest with the legendary Master Sword in their possession, Navi couldn’t help but notice how dashingly handsome her little Link had become.
It wasn’t just his looks that she liked—she came to realize that she admired everything about him; his naturally helpful nature, his thoughtfulness, his modesty, his willingness to listen more often than talk, and his mental strength—still enduring even after being burdened with saving the world. It wasn’t long before she realized that she had fallen in love with him.
Every once in a while on their journey, Navi would vividly dream of the two of them, their bodies somehow the same size. In some, Link would simply kiss her, tell her that she was beautiful, tell her that he loved her. In others, Navi would imagine him taking her, thrusting into her writhing body as she mewled in pleasure underneath him. She would always wake up hot and frustrated after those dreams, her sex wet and slick with arousal.
And that was why she left him. Once their quest had been completed, she worried that her feelings would become a burden for him—especially since he had reverted back to his child self. After all, Link was a bright young man, and could find his niche in life given his many positive attributes, she had reasoned. Her presence was not needed, and he didn’t need any reminders of the ordeals he had gone through. He, of all people, deserved a peaceful life without conflict.
But he still sought her company. Link had adapted to the nomadic lifestyle they practiced during their journey, and found that he couldn’t stay in one place for too long. He remained a traveler that would take on odd jobs and errands for a living, and he missed his traveling companion dearly. Link searched high and low for Navi, and didn’t give up until he at last found her two years after she had left, in one of the fairy fountains in Hyrule.
He asked her to join him again, not as an ally in combat, but as a friend, and she couldn’t find it in herself to turn down his request. So the two set off, and life continued as it had during their quest—without the pressure of saving Hyrule, of course.
Overtime, Navi watched as Link naturally grew into the handsome young man he once was in that alternate timeline, and still she longed for him.
Then one day, she thought her dreams had come true when a quest of theirs had involved Link making use of a shrinking spell. In order to better complete one particularly small dungeon, a great fairy had granted him a new spell allowing him to become the size of a mouse in order to fit inside the tiny labyrinth.
And that is where the story of their love begins…
Author’s notes: Well, this is my first story. I hope it’s bearable so far.
I don’t think it was ever specified as to why Navi left, so I sorta made up my own reason.
