A Winter's Bath
Authors note: If you've not read the lore, yes some trolls have fur. R&R please.
Edit: Okay, fixed. Now you can know what happens between the Prologue and "Hind sight..." Sorry about the missing chapter.
Prologue
It was late, and the sun was starting to set as Marri slipped out of her clothes and into the warm waters of the spring. It had been a long hard trip through Winterspring to get here. She reached to the bank of the spring and grabbed a rag. She slowly started scrubbing off the dirt and blood. She hated how dirty she got while fighting. She sighed happily as it all washed away, leaving short, soft, light gray/blue fur in its wake. She pulled her dark blue hair out of the braids and let it fall around her shoulders. The troll maiden sighed again as she relaxed in the water. She felt the tension melting out of her muscles. She was young, as was reflected in the length of her tusks. They were short, not more than 3/4 of an inch past her lips. They had an upward tilt. Her features were soft and pretty, even by none troll standards. She was tall and slender, but toned and strong. She continued to scrub. She didn’t want to leave any dirt behind. She had always taken prided in her velvety fur and didn’t want anything to take away from its beauty. It was her only true vanity.
