Sanctuary Eyes

Summary: (Takes place after KH2) Just a normal day back on their island, everyone is there, Roxas, Sora, Riku, Namine and Kairi. As everyday, Riku and Sora fight over Kairi, but what they don't know is, she has someone else on her mind, and not either one of those guys.

Chapter Warnings: Gay references between Sora and Riku and the starting of some Yuri
Comment: Yes, I know Namine and Kairi are technically just one person, but let's just play it as they are two separate people, just for the sake of the story and my love for NaminexKairi yuri. Also, I called this the Introduction because it's just a lead up to the chapters, basically it's a lot of small talk and just introducing all the characters for people that don't know the KH characters.

Soft blue waves crashed on to the sandy shore of Destiny Islands, a peaceful island where kids would come to get away from the normal town life. Few years ago, many kids formed a friendship and stayed on this island, but events broke them apart. Nonetheless, they found themselves reunited on their island and started a new bond of friendship.

As waves crashed on to the shore and headed backwards, a girl laid her body on to the warm sand. She was dressed in a tight pink zipper dress that extended just an inch of from the center of her thighs, a white Cami that covered any cleavage that would show from her dress, a small pearl shaped necklace she always wore and comfortable pink sandals she would rarely wear. She had shoulder length dark red hair, beautiful blue eyes and she had a pale face to her.

Her name was Kairi. The only girl that would be with Sora and Riku on a daily bases, which explained why Sora and Riku would always try to win her love. Day by day, the attempts became more pathetic and it showed desperation between the both of them.
"Why do they want me? If they're that desperate, they should go out with each other. I mean come on, who doesn't think they're gay for each other?" Kairi said turning her head to the other girl next to her. The girl laying next to Kairi was rather interesting as well.

Namine was her name. She was almost a twin of Kairi, but with many noticeable differences between them. Namine had shoulder-length blonde hair and the same beautiful blue eyes Kairi had. Namine wore a white dress that extended to the same length as Kairi's zipper dress and blue sandals to match. Many didn't know this, but Namine was Kairi's Nobody, but Kairi didn't like to use that word. Kairi liked to refer to Namine as a sister to her, but with no relation to each other.
"They're guys Kairi, what else do you expect? But to be honest, if I was a guy, I would fight with Sora and Riku for you. You're beautiful Kairi," Namine starred into Kairi's eyes as she spoke. Namine always loved Kairi's eyes, they were beautiful and powerful, it showed a lot about Kairi herself.

Kairi gave a small grin, it wasn't the first time Namine complimented her before, but each time Kairi felt butterflies, not too big, but they made her wonder a lot of things.
"Thanks Namine," She said as she noticed Namine was dazed by her eyes. She never knew why Namine took interest into her eyes, Namine had the same beautiful blue eyes, but the thought left as she heard sand rustle from behind them.

"Hey Namine, hey Kairi," They heard as the rustle of footsteps through sand came closer. Namine lifted her back up and turned her head to see Roxas sit down next to her. Roxas was the Nobody of Sora, he had blonde/orange spikey hair and dark blue eyes, the same color as Sora. Roxas had a unique outfit compared to the rest of them, he wore a white/tan short sleeved jacket with a unique design of a black checkboard pattern near the zipper of the jacket, two collars colored red as the bottom one and gray as the top one, baggy black and gray pants just going over the top of his black and red strapped shoes. On his left wrist, a black and white checkered wristband laid there and his index and middle finger was covered by small black and white fingerbands.

"Hey Roxas," Namine said as she looked him up and down. He was cute, but Namine found out awhile ago she had no feelings for him. Namine felt she had no attraction to guys anymore, she felt sad for herself because of that. She didn't know who she felt attraction to, but Kairi would always pop her in mind when any word related to attraction was spoken. It was a weird feeling inside of her, but normally she would push it away.
"So, what were you guys talking about?" Roxas questioned as he remembered why he came up to them in the first place. Roxas and eavesdropping were always associated with each other.
"Just talking how it's getting pathetic how Riku and Sora are fighting over me, I mean, it was alright when I was younger, but now that I'm older, it's annoying and pathetic," Kairi said as she leaned her back up and remained in a sitting position.
"Personally, I think they have something between each other and fighting over you is a way for them not to pounce on each other," He said with a laugh about the last part. Namine and Kairi laughed with Roxas because they both knew it was true.

"What did you say about us?" Came from a voice behind Namine, Kairi and Roxas. Roxas' eyes widened as he turned himself towards the voice. He tilted his head up and saw Riku and Sora standing behind him next to each other. Roxas played a fake smile and hid his distress.
"Oh, nothing, I said nothing about you guys," Roxas said with a shaky voice and putting his right hand behind his head. Sora raised an eye brow at Roxas, but decided to let it go for now.
"Alright then," Sora said as him and Riku sat near Roxas. Kairi and Namine looked at each other and giggled softly between each other. Riku just leaned himself over towards them and looked at them giggling trying to figure out what they were giggling about. Riku leaned back and looked at Kairi.

"So Kairi, want to hang out later?" He asked innocently a few minutes later. Sora sharply turned to him and glared evily at him.
"I asked her first Riku," Sora said as he looked back at Kairi. "So you want to hang out then?" Sora asked desperately.
"No Sora, I asked earlier today, so technically I get to hang out with her first," Riku said glaring back at him.
"Here we go again," Kairi thought to herself as another argument would break out. Kairi looked at Namine with annoyed eyes and Namine nodded.
"No, I asked first," Sora said firing back at him like a fast cannon.
"No, I did!" Riku said raising his voice.
"I did!" Sora fired.
"I did!" Riku backfired.
"Why would she want to hang out with you anyways, you look like a girl!" Sora said without realizing the harshness of those words. A second later he realized it and quickly covered his mouth. Riku widened his eyes and a fuel of anger burned passionately.
"Oh, what happened to: 'Riku! It's Riku. Riku's here... I looked for you! I looked everywhere for you!'" Riku said mocking Sora with a high voice and pretending to cry like Sora did. They leaned in their faces closer as the rage built between them
"Oh, so I guess you never said 'To tell you the truth, Sora... I was jealous of you'. You're just jealous of me because I'm so much better than you!" Sora said as both of them leaned their heads in closer.
"Don't forget, you were jealous of me before because I'm a lot better looking than you!" He said as by the end of the sentence they were forehead to forehead. They glared at each other with strong, passionate eyes. Rage filled each other's head for the moment, but suddenly it drifted out. Their facial expression relaxed as they both looked at each other, gazing into each other's eyes. Both of them, at the same, looked down to the other's lips and slowly gazed into their eyes. But just in an instant they snapped out of it and backed their heads away from each other.

"Okay..." Kairi said just before her attempt to change the subject. "Anyways, it's starting to get late already," Kairi said as she looked straight into the horizon. Slowly the sun was hiding behind the water and one by one the stars shined brightly.
"Oh, hey Kairi, can I sleep with you tonight? I don't officially have a bed in town, so maybe just tonight, I thought I could sleep with you?" She asked Kairi with an intention. Kairi had a funny feeling deep in her stomach, but decided she wanted to ignore it.
"Oh sure, you're free to sleep with me tonight," Kairi said as she flashed a smile at Namine, just a cute one, no meaning behind it. Kairi and Namine stood up dusting off sand from their dresses and the rest followed along.
"Well, night everyone," Roxas said as he waved goodbye and walked away.
"Don't have too much fun you two," Sora said with a perverted tone and a perverted half smile. Kairi just shook her head no and waved bye to them.
"Bye Kairi, bye Namine," Riku said as he walked off with Sora.
"Oh god, I can just imagine what they had on their minds," Namine said as the five parted ways.
"Of course something perverted, what do you expect?" Kairi responded as they made their towards the steps of the wooden dock.

As they paddled their way towards town, silence fell between them. The night was dark and the ocean was calm, few to no waves. An awkward silence stayed still between them until Namine looked straight up at Kairi.
"Kairi, remember how you told me that you didn't have any feelings towards neither Riku, Roxas and Sora. Well, who do you like then?" Namine questioned, hoping a good answer would come out of her. Kairi looked at her and thought for a while before responded. What was Namine implying? Namine was right about what Kairi said, she had no feelings towards any of the guys, but everytime she thought about her feelings, Namine would pop in her head and the butterflies would arrive in her stomach.
"To be honest, I don't know. No guy has really made me feel attracted to them," Kairi responded, but she wasn't completely honest.
"I feel the same way, not even Roxas appeals to me and I've known him for a good time now," Namine said as she was looking down and paddling in a swift motion.
"Maybe, we just don't like guys," Kairi said looking at Namine hoping she'd catch the meaning behind it. Namine quickly lifted her head and heard the meaning behind it, she starred at Kairi and tried to find the truth in her eyes.
"Maybe," Namine said slowly as she found they were both gazing into each others eyes. But in a matter of seconds, silence filled the air again as they paddled away into the night occasionally catching the other staring at them.
"Do I like Namine?" Kairi asked herself.
"I think I'm attracted to Kairi..." Namine thought as she realized a lot things.

Night fell and soon enough the two reached their way to town and back into Kairi's house. Within a matter of minutes Kairi and Namine fell on to her bed and started to drift off to sleep...
