Disclaimer: I own no one maybe a few but that is all. Just thought you would all like to know. Just to note I do not know much about Cervantes. So bear with me,please. Read and review. Be nice about it.

Chapter One:

The storm, which rocked the Adrian back and forth roused a tired Cervantes de Leon. He opened his pure white eyes and looked about his cabin." Your needed on deck!" Called a crew member outside his door.

' Damned the lot of them.Damned them to the depths of Hell.' He cursed the crew in his mind as he stood. Bare chested. Dressed only in his black breeches and boots, Cervantes grabbed his long sleeveless black vest coat. And put it on. Searching for his big hat with two long feathers.

"Damn it!" He hissed to himself.Remembering that he lost it into the waters that afternoon when the wind picked up. He was too lazy too go after it. He simply felt regret, and opened his cabin door. Making his way up on deck.

Indeed the storm above deck was fierce and the waters had become treacherous. But this was nothing that the great Cervantes could not handle."You called me up here for this,Stomas!?" He called to his first mate.

Stomas as he was known. Smiled." Who else better to get us through the strom then you?" His first mate called back.

Grumbling something incomprehensable, Cervantes walked up the stairs to the bridge." Out of my way, sea dog!" He commanded loudly over the thunder and the hard rain hitting the raging waters. Shoving the one stearing the boat out of the way.

All Cervantes choose to do. Not out of stupidity. Just out of necessity. He turned the boat around. " Captain!" Stomas called! We're going back?! But why?!"

" We need to go back for the hat!" Cervantes called in responce.

As rediculous as he found it, Stomas had no choice but to respond." Aye sir. " As Cervantes continued his stearing. Ignorring his first mate. Men continued to try and work in these conditions. Tightening up the sails on the mast. Some had fallen over board. Others knocked into objects. It took several minutes. But ,soon it was all over. They entered waters where rain only trickled lightly.

" Take over the wheel.Stomas. Report to me when you see something." Cervantes ordered and left the bridge. Passing several men staring at him on his way below deck.

Paused before opening the door to the stairs below, and turned," What are ye staring at sons of sea whores!? Get back to work!" He snapped and continued below.

Opening the door to his cabin, Cervantes tossed off his soaked vest coat and threw himself in the bed in his cabin. Though most captians had hammocks and maybe cots. But not Cervantes. Once he was a man in high society before he turned to piracy. He still tried to live the high life. And had a two person sized bed in his cabin installed. Cervantes enjoyed fine wine and fine dinning as well. Though Spanish rum and meat sufficed as well.

When he stared up, Cervantes thought of something he had not in a long time. His young wife. Who he once left behind. She was with child after he left. She died before he could see her again. He closed his eyes and pictured her on their wedding night. She was fourteen and he sixteen. She was dressed in a nearly see through white gown. Her long black hair hung at her shoulders and back.

She looked so nervous. But Cervantes knew that she had to be ready. Or else why would she have been wearing such an alluring night gown. He remembered approaching her. Taking her in his arms and kissing her deeply in the mouth. Slidding her sleeves down her arms slowly. His fingertips feeling her smooth skin. His lips eased gently from her as he stared into her dark brown orbs. Becoming enchanted by them.

Those eyes. And her beauty. He never forgot them. He never forgot her. He rememebered how he held her in his arms as the sun rose the morning he left out to sea. " Marina." He spoke her name softly as he stared up at the cealing.

With that he turned his head to the side and he let sleep take him. As he slept, his dreams took him into something new. He found himself in a hellish place. Flames surrouding a huge platfrom. He noticed that he was wearing his black armor and his black helmet over his head. He held his two weapons. His large sword in one hand, and his gun blade in the other.

" Cervantes." He heard a woman's echoing voice. Followed by a woman's body flying and rolling to the ground at his feet. She was a lovely young woman.Dressed in a long tight white sacrifical gown.

When he looked ahead of him, a great evil creature with horns and a near beast like body stood there. With a massive scythe. Cervantes readied himself to fight. But his white eyes glanced down at the woman, who had apparently been thrown to him. Something told him to stand between her and this beast. So, using his armored boot, he slid her to the side and slammed his sword into the beast's scythe and lifted his gun blade to fire.

The beast ducked the bullet and shoved Cervantes back. When he blinked the setting seemed to change. All there was around him was white. Nothing else. But a the figure of a cloaked woman. Standing before him. Cervantes went into defensive stance." What trickery be this, woman?!" He demanded to know.

" You've no need of your weapons. I am not here to fight. Cervantes de Leon. I am to tell you that I have choosen you. You bare the mark of The Protector. The one who shall save my daughter." She started. Her voice echoing throughout the place.

" Why would I want to protect your daughter?" Cervantes asked with a laugh."

" Because Cervantes it is in your destiny......"
