The bear loomed over his back snarling and sending spittle flying as it growled through its hideous jaws.
‘Great.’ The night elf muttered under his breath whirling on one foot to be able to take the bear front on and not from the back. To late…. The massive creature lifted its paw and slammed it into the elf’s back ripping his claws through his skin, knocking him to his hands and knees.
‘Damn it all-‘ the bear was upon him again the night elf rolled to the left to avoid another attack. It missed but only just. Transforming into a dark panther form the druid sprang forward, taking hold of the bear’s trunk of a neck, and dug in his fangs and claws until
blood gushed into his mouth.
‘Sick!’ The druid thought in disgust, loosening his grip on the bear.
While the druid eased up a bit the bear grabbed him but the thigh, with its claws, and pulled down. The panther grave a cry and released the bear from his choke grip and went flying into a thicket of weeds.
The bear spun around and took off out of the clearing, it hadn’t expected it’s dinner to attack back let alone transform into animals. If the bear had been a humanoid it probably would’ve screamed over its shoulder ‘Freak’ as it went its way.
The druid changed back into his normal form while lying sprawled on the ground.
‘It hurts…gods it hurts…’ His breathing became labored and he felt warm life start to trickle away from him, blood he assumed. He wanted to reach up and touch the wounds to see how bad they were and try and heal himself but he was to weak and his mana was spent.
Closing his eyes he gave into darkness, and waited for death to take him.

“Alex if you’re going hunting then take Kalin with you!” The bossy voice sounded up somewhere in the giant tree Alex leaned on.
“But he always eats the kill before I can get to him…” Alex complained back.
“I’ve trained him better he wont do that any more.” Jumping down her travel companion fixed her with a silver stare and gave her ‘The Look’.
“Why do I have to go?! YOU’RE the hunter here!! I’m a paladin! Paladins don’t hunt!” Alex argued.
“Well they do now!” Tossing the paladin a rubber ball the female night elf jumped 6 feet up and back into the tree.
“I’ve done all the hunting so far Alex! Your turn!” The voice said steadily from the tree.
“Fine! I’ll hunt and catch a big ass animal thing! You’re going to be jealous!” Alex squeezed the rubber ball till it let out a squeak. A massive white panther known to them as Kalin appeared from the brush yawning.
‘Damn night elf tree hugging…’ Alex stuck out her tongue at the tree and headed into the woods and out of the small camp they had set up.

‘Two hours and now a single damn thing!’ Alex sighed to herself ‘If I don’t get something Ciera will never let me live it down!’ She could almost see the gleam in the damn elf’s eyes as she returned empty handed.
Kalin suddenly lifted his head sniffing the air and let out a log drawn out growl. Alex unattached her hammer from her back and put her guard up.
“What is it Kalin? Take me to it.” Alex whispered to the panther.
The cat padded forward and picked up speed so that Alex had to run to keep up. Through weeds and shrubs they went until they came to a small clearing. Alex came to a stop next to the cat and started to scan the area looking for the enemy. Nothing…
“Kalin you stupid meat ball! There’s nothing here!” Alex was about to smack the cat for leading her astray until they both hear a groan from a thicket of weeds to their right.
Rising back up her hammer Alex crept forward arms and legs tense, Kalin beside her. She then jumped on top of the thicket with a mighty war cry!
“OW! The hell?!”
“WHO DARE CHALLENGE A PROUD WARRIOR OF SILVER HAND?!” Alex boomed at the so-called enemy.
“Human remove yourself from me at once else I sharpen my claws on your face.” The voice from underneath her commanded angrily.
Looking down in confusion because usually bears and deer don’t talk Alex let out a surprised gasp. She was sitting on the chest of a night elf male, who was at that moment looking murderous.
