Signas' first love..
Chapter 1
The Secret Crush
Signas was working in his office in the maverick hunter headquarters. Paperwork as usual. He rubbed his forehead. He read reports from the maverick incidents that took place for the past few weeks. He puts the paper down to focus on something else. He drifts off in to a daydream, dreaming about making love to a lovely angel, a woman, that is. He does this every day and everyone has no clue why. He never tells anyone about his daydreams or what he thinks. He likes to keep it to himself.
This work is killin’ me. Man I need a vacation for once. He looked at the clock. 1am already. He thinks it’s time to head to his room and rest for the night. Neatly he put his paperwork that was done and those that are not and left.
A figure walked into Signas’ room. She looked left to right to make sure no one saw her. When the coast is cleared she went right into the room. She looks around and puts the note on the nightstand next to his bed. She quickly ran out of the room, but no one saw her.
Signas made his way to his room and opened the door. “Oye.. I need a shower.” He made his way to the bathroom. He grabbed a towel and turned on the facet as hot water streamed down on the tub. He stepped in the shower. Signas sighed in relief. This is what he needs. A nice hot shower to relax himself after all that paperwork and giving orders for the maverick hunters. X, Zero, and Axl were out on missions destroying mavericks that were running amok around the city, hundreds of casualties and damage. That’s a general’s job. Giving orders to make the city safe for both human and reploid alike.
It’s been 6 years since Sigma has last been seen. X, Zero, and Axl destroyed him after Sigma manipulated Red for Axl’s DNA for his own personal reason: To use the copy ability to destroy the maverick hunters and to destroy the humans. So far, no information has come forward or any sign of Sigma, which is good, for awhile till he appears again. Signas is the general after Dr. Cain died 7 years ago after the Repliforce and Sigma were destroyed. Lifesaver was also created by Cain. After the Gama unit was destroyed by Zero when he went maverick, Sigma’s unit brought back Zero and Dr. Cain repaired him. He even found out about the virus inside his body. The next day Zero had no memory on what happened at the Gama Unit innocent, so Cain came up with an idea: To create a robot to keep check on the virus inside Zero’s DNA. Lifesaver was created. He also does more than keep Zero’s virus in check, he saves other reploid’s life I after they’ve been injured in the line of fire during the hunt for mavericks.
Aila became the operator in the headquarters after the Repliforce was defeated and the headquarters restored. She used to work at the lab along with Gate years ago, after that she became interested and decided to work in the headquarters as an operator for X, Zero, and Axl to guide them on their missions.
Douglas is a mechanic. He also came to the headquarters to work here years ago after the Repliforce. His job is to make parts for the hunters when they go out on their missions. He even makes other things for himself. When he’s not building, he likes to tease Signas a lot and he would get mad at times and chase after him. But Signas knows they’re good friends. Douglas is like his little brother, and they both are like best friends even though sometimes they don’t get along and he gets teased sometimes, or make practical jokes. Douglas has been known to be the prankster of the headquarters. One time when Signas was asleep of exhaustion from paperwork, Douglas came in and doodled him on his face with permanent marker. The next day he woke up with doodles on his face and his face was red and yelled at everyone to find out who made the marks on his face. Everyone laughed and they all pointed to Douglas. He ran right out of the room knowing that Signas was pissed at him. Signas chased him down the hall as he laughed and the others as well. It was all just a joke and he knew Douglas not ment it. They’re best friends. Soldjermon also likes to join the fun on making pranks on him but Signas doesn’t know it. Douglas and Soldjer has been working with each other, built other things and sometimes they screw up, ever since Douglas had joined the maverick hunters. One time one of Douglas’ gismos was completed but he forgot a part to put it in and it exploded in front of their faces leaving dirt and soot on their faces. She too made a gizmo but it broke and nuts and bolts started to fly around the room hitting everyone and her. They were okay but it sure was funny!
Signas is done with his shower and turns off the facet. He grabs his towel and dries himself off. He walks out and goes to his bed. He turns on the light on the nightstand and sees a note on the stand? Now how did that get there he wondered. He picks it up and reads it. After reading and re-reading it he starts to blush. Someone has a crush on him in the HQ! But the question is who. The note has an ‘anonymous’ name. He will find out in the morning. Right now he needs sleep and it’s going to 2am. He will soon find the dream is closer than he thinks, soon.
Morning
Signas decided to ask every girl in the headquarters if they’re the ones that wrote the note. There’s like over 2,000 girls here! How is he going to be able to find the one who wrote the note?! He decided just to ask until he finds out who it is. He starts looking and asking, with the note in hand.
Zero and X were out in the diner and Axl off to look for clues on his DNA changing ability. Alia was going over reports, Lifesaver tending to injured reploids, and Douglas making more parts. Soldjermon was somewhere around the headquarters.
3 hours have passed and Signas asked every girl in the headquarters. None have given him the note, but one remained, Soldjermon. He headed down to her quarters. Maybe she’s the one that gave him the note.
He approaches her room and knocks on her door. He gets no answer. Probably out for the day. He decides to wait till its nighttime. It’s the best time cause she’s in her quarters by 8pm. He goes back to his office and does more work.
Soldjermon was doing work in her Unit 1 division training new reploids for battle. Today 20 new recruits have applied. She looked over their records. One used to be in the army and decided to become a maverick hunter, the other one was older, probably in his 50’s and decided to be a hunter as well.
“Okay let’s begin.” She said. “First off, we need to see if you are fit to fight. Let’s begin our training by warm ups.”
The recruits did pushups, sit-ups, punching bags, and other exercises. Soon the soldiers will train in the art of combat, then they will move to higher and tougher training. This is all part of maverick hunters, being fit, being strong against their opponents. They must be ready. Sigma is out there still planning to take over the world, plus mavericks are still out there attacking innocent lives of humans and reploids. Once the recruits have completed their training, they will get their own weapons and then head to battle. They will be followed by the Colonel of the group to monitor the situation of the battles and then they will report it back to Signas and the commanders of the unit. The highest unit and hard to be in is Unit 0 and Unit 17 headed by X and Zero. Different units have their own priority. Some provide back up incase of emergencies, others in combat and heavy fighting to put their lives on the front lines, some are investigators to search for clues and provide information to the headquarters. This maverick hunter headquarters is like an army, but in a busy city. The headquarters is located in what used to be 100 years ago, New York City. But the city is gone and now it’s renamed Doppler Town. A scientist named Doppler named the city 4 years back. He was defeated by X and Zero and told them that Sigma was a virus. He was human but had a robot body, like a cyborg. He was influenced by Sigma’s evil plans and it led to his doom.
The recruits began to spar each other. They will get better at it soon. Soldjermon was watching them, making sure they get it right. Some of the recruits are young. She is really nice to everyone in the headquarters, especially in her unit and other units as well.
One recruit got hit in the head by accident. “Ow.”
“Sorry.” Said the other.
The two began to go back in their training. Kicks, punches, dodges, you name it. It’s all part of the training.
4pm
“That’s enough for the day. Tomorrow you will begin to advance into the next level of training here. The art of Combat. You will show no mercy to your opponent when you go into training. I expect you be here at 12pm sharp. Understood?” Said Soldjermon.
“Yes ma’am!” said all the recruits.
“Good. You may leave now and I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The reploid recruits left for the day and headed out. Soldjermon went to her office to clean up. After that she’ll head to the diner to eat.
X and Zero were also done training their reploid recruits and headed to the diner. Axl is expected to be back tomorrow.
Zero: Man those recruits are a pain.
X: Ha! Mine was worse. Two reploids fought each other for an hour before I got in there. So I had to get a few guards to break up the fight.
Zero: Man that’s depressing. Were they young ones?
X: Yeah. The motive was that one attacked the other because he made out with his girlfriend.
Zero: How pathetic.
They made their way into the diner and began to order.
Signas cleaned up his office for the night and headed to his quarters. Tonight he will see Soldjermon and ask her if she is the one that wrote him the note.
Soldjermon went to the diner and ordered dinner. X and Zero were also here to eat as well.
Zero: Hey Sol!
Soldjermon: Hey you two.
X: Got any new recruits too?
Soldjermon: Yeah. Some of my units went out to the city for any information on maverick activity, but nothing yet.
X: That’s good. This world needs to be in peace instead of violence.
X has a grudge on violence. A year back, he removed himself from the front lines to work on peaceful methods in the war. When Axl came and Sigma’s return, he had to return to the battlefield. He knows Sigma isn’t dead. A lot of humans and reploids believe he is.
Zero: X’s recruits had a fight.
Soldjermon: Oh dear.
X: Yeah. I don’t know what to do. Probably revoke them or send them home.
Zero: Oh well. Anyway, Axl’s coming back tomorrow.
All three nodded and ate dinner.
8pm
Soldjermon went to her quarters for the night. Tomorrow she has to train her new recruits into combat fighting. She turned on the TV to see if there’s anything on. She surfed through the channels, but nothing good. She left one channel on to take a quick shower before heading to bed. She turned on the facet and water began to pour in the bathtub.
Signas was on his way to her room. He thought about the note he had in his hand. He kept reading and re-reading it. He couldn’t get it out of his mind; he even blushed numerous times just thinking about it. He kept walking to her quarters.
Soldjermon was done showering. She dried her hair and body off with her towel. It’s a yellow towel that perfectly matches her armor. She went to her bed as she kept drying herself off and she turned the light to her room. On her bed is a doll. A Signas doll. She sleeps with it every night, dreaming about him. She walked over to her closet and grabbed her yellow nightgown. She puts it on and brushes her hair to get ready to go to bed.
I wonder if Signas saw that note. She giggled at the thought. He probably read it by now and can’t stop either like I am now! She blushed as she kept thinking about it. If he did read it, he probably went out to find out who wrote him that note. And when he finds out who the last one is, which would be me, he will come straight here!
The TV remained on. She sighed. “Nothing good on, as usual.” She turned off the TV and slumped in her bed. She sighed again. I bet he’s coming here now. I hope he does. I want to tell him how I really feel. She yawned. “Man I’m tired. Training those recruits was hard.” She rubbed her eyes and grabbed her Signas plushie nearby. She turned off the light and snuggled with it, drifting off into dreamland.
Signas reached to her room. He took a big breath, and knocked on the door. No answer. He grabbed the door handle so he can open his way into her room. The door was unlocked. He opened the door and went inside, quietly. The room was dark.
She must be asleep by now. He thought.
He walked in and shut the door behind him quietly. He sees her sleeping on her bed across from him where he’s standing. He walked quietly over to her. She was sleeping peacefully. To him, she was an angel, like the one in his dreams. Her helmet was off and so was her armor. She was wearing her yellow nightgown and something she’s clinging on to. He looked to see what she was sleeping with.
Huh!? A doll! He examined it closer. It’s a doll of... me! So he was right. He asked every girl in the headquarters but none were the ones that wrote him the note. So the last one is Soldjermon. He decided to see if it was her by waking her up, quietly. He put his hand on her shoulder and began to shake her gently. “Soldjer. Soldjer. Wake up. We need to talk.”
She moaned. She shifted not wanting to wake up. She clenched the doll to her hard, but the gentle shake on her shoulder continued.
“Wake up Soldjer.” Said Signas again.
She woke up slowly. She was still tired. “Mmmm..?” She was fully awake now and sees... Signas!? She gasped. “S-Signas!?”
“Hey.” He smiled at her. “Um... I need to talk to you about something.”
“Yeah. What is it?” she blushed. He too was blushing.
Signas scratched behind his neck. “Well... It’s about this.” He gave her the note he had.
She took the note. On the front of it, it said ‘anonymous’.
“I was wondering... if you’re the one that wrote that note.” He blushed beat red.
Soldjermon blushed to and she smiled. “Yes. Yes, I was the one who wrote this and put it in your room. I-I was too shy to ask you in person about it, so I wrote the note and put it in your room.”
She jumps on him and hugs him tightly. Signas was surprised and hugged her back as he blushed and smiled to her. “Soldjer...”
It seemed like an eternity while they hugged. Neither of them wants to let go. Signas got an idea. They both looked at each other in the eyes. Without thinking, he leaned down and their lips met. Soldjer was shocked but loved the kiss. She kissed back letting his tongue enter her mouth. Their tongues danced while they kissed fighting for dominance to see who wins. Signas won.
After it seemed like hours, they broke the kiss. They both had to catch their breath.
“I wanted to do that so much.” He said.
She blushed, “Yeah, I bet. I wanted to do that so much as well..”
“You.. wouldn’t mind if I can sleep here for the night?” he asked.
“No.. no. I don’t mind at all.” She smiled.
He smiled back.
They both fell on the bed. Signas pulled Soldjermon closer to him gently as she curled up beside him. He grabs the covers from her bed and they both fall asleep, loving each other’s warmth.

She jumps on him and hugs him tightly. Signas was surprised and hugged her back as he blushed and smiled to her. “Soldjer...”
It seemed like an eternity while they hugged. Neither of them wants to let go. Signas got an idea. They both looked at each other in the eyes. Without thinking, he leaned down and their lips met. Soldjer was shocked but loved the kiss. She kissed back letting his tongue enter her mouth. Their tongues danced while they kissed fighting for dominance to see who wins. Signas won.
After it seemed like hours, they broke the kiss. They both had to catch their breath.
“I wanted to do that so much.” He said.
She blushed, “Yeah, I bet. I wanted to do that so much as well..”
“You.. wouldn’t mind if I can sleep here for the night?” he asked.
“No.. no. I don’t mind at all.” She smiled.
He smiled back.
They both fell on the bed. Signas pulled Soldjermon closer to him gently as she curled up beside him. He grabs the covers from her bed and they both fall asleep, loving each other’s warmth.
