Disclaimer:
I do not own The Legend of Zelda game series, nor any of the characters from them. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Bloody Water
Hello, this is really the first fanfic I've ever done seeing as how I'm not much of a person for writing stories, I'm mostly an artist. That means I have lots of nice pictures to go with the story, you can check them out on my website. There not that bad I swear... *shifty eyes*
http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/ayadragonsheart/
In this story I really wanted to betray Dark Link as something different. As well as Sheik as a person in himself rather than some mask like Zelda wants. Now, in no way is this gonna be Zelda bash, I have certian respect for her and she will be in the story later. I realize that the story does start off as rather base and common, an overused plot so to say. Sheik goes in Water Temple and he humps like a bunny with Dark Link, the end. Well I'm kinda doing that, but not. I just needed something to work off of.
Trust me I am goin to change the direction of this story greatly. It's sad of me I know, but I like to work around the original storylines from the games. It makes it more realistic in my mind, and it also forces me to be more creative. So you can kinda see this as a behind the scenes sorta story. After all Sheik has to dislike the Water Tymple for some reason.
I'll be trying to update this story as often as I can, but I don't want to post chapters just to keep up with deadlines. I feel it takes away from the potential quality of the story.
Reviews are very much loved, but I'm not gong to force anybody to give me one so I'll update. Thats just silly and childish.
Anyhoot. Enough of my explainations and ramblings. Now on with the fanfic.

Crimson to Sapphire
chap. 1 Bloody Water
Silent splashes and ripples in the water could be heard as Sheik looked about the current prison he had unintentionally happened upon. With a great sigh that was more of a growl the sheikah began to disprove his own sanity. "Just what did I get myself into? Fuck." Plans of helping Link‘s ‘quest’ by giving him hints from exploring the water temple before hand, suddenly, didn’t seem so wise.
The fact that he was now locked in a room with no obvious exit other than said locked doors, didn’t help to boost his confidence either in the previous decision. Agreeing to ‘aid the warrior of time’ as the princess had so ‘sweetly’ asked him seven years before began to grate on his nerves for not the first and certainly not the last time.
And why oh why, was she the one who got the triforce of wisdom. Goddesses knew she was already a sage, he needed it more. Especially seeing as how he was he one currently scouting out certain 'dangerous' areas to deliver information for 'The Hero of Time', that fact alone only made the sheikah grumble more at the situation.
"Zelda's got the triforce, Links got the bug. And what do I get? Well watching Link bath without him knowing is somewhat of a nice kick back I guess." Since only being needed at certain moments, and his work being of a secretive kind, he had made a habit out of watching said hero. Grunting in disapproval and rolling his eyes at the path his thoughts had taken Sheik looked for another good use for his brain.
Angst, good 'ol angst at his situation, rolling his red eyes for good measure. "Well self, the good news is that there are no monsters in here. I think." Sheik not being one for humor never understood why Zelda laughed at him while saying this phase, but had made a habit out of it to please her in these dark times. It was also a small comfort for him as well to hear her laugh.
Fidgeting with the bandages around his hands and adjusting the white cloth hiding part of his face, Sheik struggled to fight off the doubt that had begun to claw its way into his mind. "This truly sucks, as Link would say." After tightening the belt that held his daggers, and picking at a few tares in his blue outfit, he began examining his surroundings to formulate a plan.
After all, if Link didn’t stop Ganondorf, then what was to stop him from the rest of the world? Sheik’s home included. Not that he wouldn't give it a good hard try to stop Ganondorf himself.
The two locked doors that seemingly floated atop the watery floors mocked him.
"Intriguing design." Sheik mused while observing the room around him. A small ‘island’ in the middle of the chamber with a dead tree reaching to some unknown sky while only dust motes that fell from a hazy shaft of light greeted a dead branch.
Red eyes darted from side to side looking, yet at the same time avoiding the unnerving walls. While Sheik was sure they were there, they were not, and in some way they silently echoed the dead space of the room into eternity. Creating a void of non-existence.
"This seems oddly like a well-constructed crypt, rather than a room... very creepy." The only answer to his statement being the sound of small droplets from the roof hitting the water on the floor. Not even his voice bothered to echo back to him. Again, doubt began to creep back into his mind as he walked about the room feeling the ‘walls that were not there’ looking for some sort of weakness. While his red orbs still looked about for clues to a way out, a hit of a crack, a whisper of wind, but none came to him.
Sighing briefly, he turned his stare towards the ceiling searching for the source of the shaft of light streaming into the room from above. His breathing in the hollow sound of the room was the only clue to life existing.
Standing as he was, an artist would have gasped at the sight. Claiming that his posture spoke of a noble, and that the dust motes flying through the air were the tears and feathers from angels floating down from heaven, reassuring him that his plight would not to last, that the goddesses had not forgotten him.
Unable to find the exactly where the light was coming from, or any other means of escape, Sheik could only groan at his only available course of action.
"Sit and wait." Rolling red eyes and scrunching his face into a form of distaste he mused to himself. Sheik sighed loudly into his surroundings, deeply distressed. "Seems to be an often-accruing theme these days."
Pausing for a moment, he wondered when it was he gained the habit of talking to himself, quickly realizing it was obtained from hanging around ‘The Hero of Time’ who constantly talked to his fairy. Or was it the other way around? Navi was her name if he remembered correctly, but he preferred to call her bug, seeing as how she was constantly flittering about noticing almost everything. He almost had been spotted a few times on his 'spying missions' by the annoying fairy.
Shrugging again, which seemed to be another bad habit he had obtained from Link; he walked over to the decaying tree a few feet away. Wiping his wet feet on the dirt Sheik search for a soft spot to lay down until some form of rescue came. He didn’t have to look long before he found a patch of moss near the base of the dead trunk.
Sitting down and after a few minutes of fidgeting, the sheikah forced himself to relax. Aware that he needed to conserve energy, not knowing how long the stay would be. All the while doubt, and a great sense of impending doom began to play with Sheik’s sanity.
Hours later a tired, lonely, and mentally strained Sheik finally closed his eyes to find some solace in sleep. Yawning into the chamber, long sandy lashes soon closed over red orbs as he drifted into the realm of dreams. Time seem to freeze around his sleeping form, the slight movements of his chest created a peaceful aurora of life, while small almost unnoticeable random twitches hinted at a restrained animalistic nature.
Then slowly, ever so slowly, the temple room itself began coming to life, feeding off the sheikahs dreams his desires and fears. It’s own conscious mind waking to the existence of reality. Constructing a form with which to play with the new toy sleeping within its walls. Old and yet strangely new energy began to move along the walls of it confinement. A trap meant for another had been sprung, yet the power for it was twisted in some way.
As if darkness itself was creeping upon the unknowing sheikah, a small cold wind gently blew through the room dragging a gentle mist along its path. The wisps crawled along the air just inches above the watery surface onto the small island and surrounded the sleeping body, causing a shiver to run over the sheikahs skin.
Silently small shadowy tendrils from the corpse of a once beautiful tree begin to pull away. Spinning into a dark form mist flowing away almost fearfully as it started to take shape. Black mass solidifying into an obsidian statue only to noiselessly shatter, revealing a darker image of the ‘hero of time‘ sleeping beneath. Thick lashes open to reveal blood red eyes filled with an emotion close to playfulness. There standing on the other side of the tree from Sheik was Ganondorf's twisted creation. Dark Link.
Breathing in for the first time with a slight shudder to his body, this ‘shadow’ Link moved about the tree to take a seat next to the sleeping form. Squatting on his heels giving a slight playful yet predatory look to his posture, he studied the toy before him. Tilting his head to the side dark silken waterfalls splash over ivory skin and ruby eyes grazed over the sheikahs body, noticing every curve and color in beautiful form.
Dark Link leaned over the body moving his lips oh so close to a pointed ear, breathing in this being before him, smelling oddly of peaches and cream. His sweet rose petal lips form a small smile, if this was the cream, then he was the cat. Huskily he purred into the ear before his lips.
"Hello, love."
Sheiks eyes snapped wide-open, pupils’ mere pinpoints while muscles tightened, instinct took over. Something was wrong, very wrong, and every fiber in his body screamed for him to attack.
Jumping from the tree and body next to his, Sheik’s form splashed a few feet away into the water. His body skimmed along the muddy bottom from the momentum of the movement, causing water and mist to part and fly in the air from his path. Hands blurred moving through the water mist and air, creating beautiful arcs as he threw his daggers as on point.
Bright silver flashed with unknowing speed towards the direction from whence he just came. His body spun as Sheik grabbed yet another round of daggers that were soon hurled with expert precision in the same direction. Blood pounding in his ears and breathing heavily, the sheikah stopped to study the damage given.
A very loud gasp disappeared into the chamber. Blood red pools stared in horror at the image before them. "Fucking impossible..." Sheik shuddered as he breathed his whole body snapping into a non-moving form.
Time seem to freeze.
Eight daggers in mid movement toward his would be attackers face floated in the air having been deflected by a rusty sword. That same face, whose rosy eyes and pink lips were smiling at him.
And then time started again.
Thunk.
Thunk, Thunk.
Thunk.
Thunk.
Dark heavy lashes opened and closed over red orbs, as all at once, each and every dagger thrown to kill planted itself into the mud of the tiny island.
In front of Sheik was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen; it was Link ‘hero of time‘, yet not. Instead, a much darker, and deadlier form of the creature he had come to know and secretly desire. His outfit matched in almost exact detail to the true ‘hero’, the only difference being its black color and lack of the master sword.
Sheik's red eyes looked him up and down to simply memorize the dark angel in his mind. Flowing black hair and pale white skin greeted him, as ruby mirrors blink and a dark pink tongue darted out quickly to wet drying lips. The sheikah could hear his blood pounding in his ears once again, his red eyes glazing over from the sweet candy offered to them.
A low silken chuckle filled the noiseless void as Dark Links now predatory eyes raked across the sheikahs flesh from below the dead tree. Just as approvingly as the sheikahs had been moments before. Shudders dance across the sheikah’s bones, only encouraging the dark shadow gazing in his direction.
Suddenly eyes snap wide open again as the Sheik realized that he is caught in a game, and he was the mouse, oh yes he was most ‘definitely’ the prey.
Much like notes being plucked from an ebony harp the shadows low seductive voice calls to him. "Good morning." Sheik’s body shudders once again, though from passion or fear this time, he is not certain.
"Would you care to join me? I’m sure the water is quite cold." The shadow curls one long ivory finger in a sweet jester to come nearer, as his other hand sheathed the sword.
“I promise I won’t bite...” Blood red eyes look lustily towards Sheik’s direction, his head lolling back and to the side as glossy rose petal lips whispered into the air. "...much."
Fighting with his emotions the shadow clearly playing with his mind, Sheik struggled with his sanity. The fear of death, although very powerful in his mind, was quickly losing to the desire in his body and soul.
That is until rage pure and clear, filled his vision, caused by the thought of being nothing more then a mere toy headed for death.
"DO I LOOK STUPID!" Sheik snarled, anger evident in the unhidden part of his face. "DO I SEEM TO HAVE SOME DEATH WISH!" He quickly sucked in air to continue. "You stopped every single dagger I threw at you! I doubt my short blade will fair better! And I hardly think I have any reason to do as you say!"
Mocking him in every form laughter meet his ears. "ME! Kill you?" Dark Link bent over holding his aching sides while tears fell from his eyes. He wasn't created to kill this creature, no! He was created to kill another. This beauty only served as amusement for him.
The Sheikah shocked at this action could only stare in bewilderment. Cheerful giggles escaped Dark Links mouth and he tried to speak again. "Oh dear goddesses! Please save this poor form of a man from his own stupidity!" The giggles continued as the shadow sighed and strained straitened upright again.
"I can only gather that you have no idea. Willingly becoming nothing more then the princess’s puppet it seems." Giggles soon subsided into low throaty chuckles as he rubbed away the tears from his face with one hand while the other still held his aching side.
Sheik deadpanned, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Who are you then? Your most definitely aren’t the real hero of time. Where did you come from? The doors are locked; I would have heard them open." Red orbs squinted scrutinizing the being before them, glinting with a dangerous light.
"You almost don‘t seem real." The sheikah having had his experience with illusions before wonder what had happened while he slept. "You must be some creation of Ganondorf's."
Frowning after finally absorbing the previous statement, Sheik indignantly defended himself with the same threatening stare. "And I'm no puppet thank you; a puppet performs without free will. You should not insult Zelda for the wisdom of knowing when she is unable to act, and in turn asking others."
Rolling his eyes, the shadow sobered up from his laughing all to quickly. Quickly thinking of an excuse with which to pacify his prey without the need of damaging it to soon. It would be pointless to kill it without properly playing with it first.
"Whatever." Sighing deeply Dark Link began answering the barrage of questions thrown at him. "First off, I am very real, as you shall find out for yourself." A quick nod and wink in Sheik’s direction before he continued. "And secondly, I believe you have unfortunately stumbled into this room not knowing what its purpose is."
He coughed slightly while arching an eyebrow to confirm his statement, to which Sheik simply nodded confirming. A quick shake of the head admonishing the sheikah for his lack of knowledge, with which he would have fun with, and the dark ‘hero’ continued his answers.
"This room, my love, was created to test whoever that enters courage." The shadow hero was in all sense of the word cleaver if not witty and quick thinking. " This is the room of ‘trials’. Unfortunately the only way to leave this room is to face your greatest fear. While I simply perform the act for you to confront. By the way, you can call me Dark Link." Waving a hand absently, he leaned against the rotting trunk, closed his, eyes and waited for the sheikahs reaction while silently hoping that he really didn’t know what the room was for.
Sheik rolled his eyes, he wished that the Zora princess had informed him of this before, so as to avoid this room. She had a nasty habit of acting like Impa when it came to informing people.
"Well ‘Dark Link’ I’m Sheik. Thank you for passing on the knowledge I did not yet have, it shall prove helpful when informing the ‘true’ hero of his future trials in this temple. And seeing as how I am not here to pass any trials and simply only to seek knowledge for others I must make my leave of you." Bowing slightly to the shadow, he made his way to leave.
Irked at his 'toys' unwilling to play, Dark Link decided that it was time for his greatest talent. Lying through his teeth, and ease dropping on people who mumble in their sleep. After all what fun would it be to play with a toy if you could use their own desires and fears against them.
"I am afraid that you cannot leave yet." Dark Link sighed deeply. "As I mentioned before the only way to leave this room is to pass the trial. There are no exceptions to this rule for everybody has a fear." Black lashes opened to let the shadow stare into the distance the walls created. "And you must face yours before you may leave." Dark Link grinned toothily showing off his pointy canines.
"Excuse me? I am not to leave, until I faced my fear?" Slightly annoyed, Sheiks mind not wanting to wrap itself around the concept of what he was currently fearing, he tried to weasel a way out. "I‘m afraid that I don‘t make a habit of knowing what my fears may be. So it might be pointless to keep me here."
Oh this toy was turning into a real challenge for the shadow, which of course only made him want to play more. This was a very interesting game of cat and mouse indeed.
“Stop lying to yourself.” Dark Link’s flat voice meet his long ears, and with a slight turn of the head a bloody glare meet his eyes. "Lying does no good, and you know exactly what I talk about, plus lying wont get you out of it either. Not all fears must harm or hurt the body."
The shadow closed his eyes again, hoping he had guessed correctly at the sheikahs true feelings. “Many fears can be mental and emotional. You think about your fear everyday and every moment, because you fear the confrontation, the emotions, the potential for rejection instead of the feelings being returned. As a result, you stay aloof behind a mask, to hide your true self.”
Horror struck rose red orbs glowing in the dim lit room staring at the shadow. A low whisper of a voice barely escaped the sheikahs lips, and could be hardly even heard past the white mask he wore, but the shadow heard it. “How can you know...” And Dark Link knew he was correct in his assumptions, also that it was finally time to play. Shrugging and tossing his head to the side he answered Sheik's question with a complete lie.
"I know because I am here, and I am here because I am to perform your trial." Deciding to play further upon his guess, he continued to prod Sheik into playing again. " If ‘he’ where to arrive before you complete this trial Link would not be aloud to enter the room and clear the temple, he might give up on his quest. Especially without anybody able to guide the hero as to what he should do about it. And since you are the princess’s puppet, you don't want to do that." Sighing deeply once again, the shadow pushed off the dead trunk and moved towards Sheik.
“Are you suggesting that the only way I can pass this trial is by... uh... by...” The sheikahs face turned a deep crimson red. Something he had never wished anyone to know was bluntly stated to his face, and into the open. Even if was an empty room, save for the shadow. “...mating with you...” He sucked in air as Dark Link smirked seductively at him while he walked closer, Sheiks ears filled with the sound of blood pounding through his head.
The Shadow closed the space between them quickly, and was barely and inch away from Sheik. Standing with their noses almost touching before he answered “Act out your fantasy? Seduce you? Make love to you? Screw you? Fuck you? Suck you? Feel you inside out?" Sheik lost the color in his face temporarily as it rushed towards a ‘different’ part of the body, only to return moments latter, ten times redder if not almost purple.
The dark hero was practically on top on him, and purred throatily to the mask within reach of his thin pink lips. A tongue snaking out from the silky cavern to taste the white cloth. He quickly grabbed Sheik around the waist and closed any and all space between them. "Well if that is what you mean by ‘mating’ then yes. Only I get top, and you get to be very wet and dirty."
Sheik was needless to say, having a very 'hard' time getting his brain to work.
