FIrst off, it's so refreshing to see such a lengthy and well-written piece about something that like you say is "old and forgotten." ANd personally, I always liked this pairing over the AlNel everyone seemed to sqabble over.
Write what you want and try not to worry about people disliking it for one reason or another. Quality shines through when it's a work of passion like this, and it's awesome because of it.
