Nice bonus. Please continue to happy afterwar ending. Love your fics, especially angsty Ash/Miranda romance.

So yeah, this was awesome. Based on the premise I also expected a different kind of story, but what I got was so much better. I had a lot of fun while reading it, and the only thing I regret is that it wasn't longer! Not that it feels incomplete.

The way their relationship developed was fantastic. I normally don't like "romance" stories, but this was entertaining and sometimes weird/dark enough to keep me interested. The more action-focused parts were enjoyable as well, like the escape and the scene at the mall were pretty fun and clever. This story sometimes felt like a better buddy action film from the 80s. With sex of course.

The fact that according to this story Miranda was raped by her father was used nicely. Like when the fat guy attacked Miranda, it made her struggle to keep herself from blowing her cover much more tense. It added more depth to the sex scenes as well, especially to the second one. I never really considered that Miranda might have been raped by him, but given how little we know about her past I can buy it.
And I have to mention that I loved that in chapter 4 you kept Miranda handcuffed for so long, even after Ashley offered to take them off!

But the strongest point of this story (or the whole point maybe) is that, while Miranda was certainly "playing" with Ashley, the way she finally got the information from her was based on genuine feeling/actions on her part. But Ashley can't be sure about this.

I really liked the way Miranda behaved in the final part, after she escaped. Her conversation with the Illusive Man was excellent. I always imagined their relationship being something like this! And reading about hot women in bathrobes never gets old :)

The bonus scene is good, gives more insight about what Ashley felt and provides a brighter closure to the story. There are some nice details too, like Miranda actually disguised herself on the Citadel!

But the original ending was more than fine. That final line was such a great way to end this story! I think the pirate story needed something like this bonus scene more, but it's a nice addition anyway.

In short, Played is fun, sexy and dramatic. Well done!

Good bonus scene, it was very touching, and nicely done tying it in with the game story. Again great job, and i'ld like to see more stories of Ash and Miranda, maybe something tied into the Citadel DLC, could make for a fun story, just another thought.

I started reading this story and was expecting to have a nice short erotic read(15min tops). I was completely wrong, the story captured me and i couldnn't stop reading, this is on of the best short stories ever written. You are an incredible writer for a story to actually make me tear up towards the end, that is impressive. I loved the whole not going exactly as planned it definitly helped humanise Miranda through the story. Another great thing is i just finished reading your Shepard Space Pirate story(also incredible story that works your emotions) it was great to use this story to set the relationship between Ash and Miranda, i know the two stories didn't quite mix but it allowed for a perfect back story to the Space Pirate story. I am now a HUGE fan, keep it up and i greatly look forward to reading any of your other stories. A request for a new story would be something along the line of Miranda and Ash crossing paths again, maybe after the Lazarus project, just an idea. Great read, loved it, and can't wait for more stories from you.

A good idea for a follow up story is what would happen to Miranda between this story and getting shepherds body with liara

Wow, this was amazing! I think you should definitely consider posting this on ff.net as well, even if you have to cut out some of the more graphic stuff, the story would be still good. I will try to write a decent "review" when you post that bonus scene.
