Liara/Clone chapters are really fun. Enjoyed that portion of the update.
This banquet they mentioned sounds like it is going to be just dreadful.
Shepard and Liara still seem to have their wits intact; not mind-broken yet. I think Brooks and the Clone are making a mistake by keeping them together. It would be a lot easier for them to lose trust in one another if they were separated.

fucking awesome!!! not gonna lie i was really prepared to abandon this fic if everything kept going in cerberus favor. but now i cant wait to see what happens on the normandy... i really want a happy ending.

Thanks for the new update; especially since it was another long chapter.
MVP of the chapter was Brooks. Telling the Shepard clone to shut the fuck up is gold and was a total gift to the readers. I guess Shepard's greatness doesn't lie in her DNA; her experiences and her environment made her who she is. This clone is clearly a cheap knock-off.
I feel bad for the Lawson girls. Obviously this went terrible for them. I also feel bad for the real Shepard. She will probably be punished for the actions of her friends. And the entire Cerberus staff should be on edge; I think we are about to see a mole hunt.
I don't really understand Cerberus right now. What their goals or objectives are.

Miranda betrayed humanity, Cerberus and resurrected the cheap copy of Shepard... I hope her glorious ass is given the hell it deserves :D

Chapter 42. This was a deceptive update. Only one new chapter, but it was really long.
Mainly just a set-up chapter. But some interesting stuff went down. The new Cerberus basically dealt with the old guard. I ended up feeling pretty bad for Miranda by the time things ended; I think she should be ready for some harsh treatment down the road.
And man. I think the general brought up a good point. It's pretty surprising Cerberus would be willing to follow a clone. I guess their goals don't necessarily match up with what the Illusive Man envisioned.

Such an excellent new chapter with Ashley and Morgan!
I was on the edge of my seat and in the end you picked the least obvious way to end it. Anyone else would have had Ash take her vengeance, but I love it that Ash might have broken. Not everyone should leave this place, if anyone does at all.
