Glad to see it back up! I was worried when it disappeared all of the sudden. The original was one of the best stories on this site. I have high hopes for the redux. Keep up the good work.

I feel really REALLY bad for you. I really wish you hadn't' taken down your story, since that way lies the path to madness. Any decent Fan Fic author knows you NEVER REVISIT OLD STUFF. It always ALWAYS ends horribly. heck i know one author whose been trying to edit and repost a story for over a year now. It never ends well for an author since we are in large our own worst critics.

Of course, I'm not trying to be down on you. I did the same thing ((Thus why most of my stories are Meh at best and odds are never getting done)), and I honestly hope your one of those people who can beat the odds. Your story was awesome and if you can actually deliver on the whole "Redux" thing, the more power too you. Just beware the pitfalls.

Honestly, I am a bit worried about you humanizing Mathias. Honestly, he's one of those characters whose really good as a douche. Out for himself really and doing who or what he wants. Making him nicer, may make him less of a badass character. be aware of he fine line because too much development makes him into either a whiny person "Trying to get revenge" or just a twit. Before he was a bit almost evil but it worked for him.

Anyway, awesome story, good luck on the "Redux" thing.

I, for one, am very happy to see you back. I had all but given up hope that this story was still going. I am very happy that it is. It will be interesting to see what revisions you make to your old chapters, and what you keep the same. I hope that the revisions won't take overly long and we'll get to see where all of this is headed. Though it is nice to get some back story as you started almost at the end of the game last time. Please keep up the good work!

Totally agree with above reviewer! Mathias should totally cuckold Jowan! I could see their relationship being a bit twisted given Jowan's a blood magic user too. Is Mathias already using? Does he learn it from Jowan? Or is he the one that draws Jowan into it and perhaps even has some mental influence over the other man. Perhaps given Mathias' charisma and their close friendship, Jowan actually gets off on his friend fucking his girl?

Can't wait for more! Update soon!

Getting more character development is always good, though I must say I'm disappointed: only one small mention of Mathias's immense endowment?

I'm very excited that you seem to be regaining your interest in this story and that you seem to be setting up the cross over into Dragon Age II that you talked about doing.

So while we're back her in the origin, Mathias is regularly hooking up with Jowan's girl Lily, right? Maybe Mathias slept with her first and actually helped Jowan woo her in the first place. But she can't stay satisfied without some Mathias on the side. Of course, she's a goody two shoes who rejects Jowan for being a blood mage and is willing to turn herself in so maybe that doesn't fit.

Well, whatever you're planning I'm surely looking forward to it.

I'm glad to see your story back up. I thought this first chapter was a nice touch. Look forward to seeing more in the near future.
