Love this idea! Your stories are just so enjoyable to read. The writing flows nicely and your syntax is wonderful. It was really nice to finally get some Lydia action, considering the tease she has been in 'The Line Begins To Blur'. I was glad to see Lydia injected with some personality, though I suppose this was to be expected given your past (justified) reservations about including her as a partner at all. The fact that she holds many of the ideas that Kai suspects she does about him (referring to whether he finds humans attractive or not) was a nice a touch, I found. It adds a good degree of cohesion between this and the main story, and just shows you are paying attention to your own continuity, which is refreshing. Perhaps a little on the short side, though you already addressed this so it's not really an issue. I'm not sure if it fits in with your idea of Lydia's character, but I look forward to her potentially 'talking dirty' with Kai. That would be a treat. Perhaps because it's against her character? Who knows. Anyway, this is dragging on a bit. Keep up the good work!

I say this story is awesome. This side story is mighty fine too. I can't wait to read more of either of these.

I REALLY liked this from Lydia's point of view. Great work! I totally understand how you could feel like it's shoe-horning, but it's a great counterpoint to the other story and to see her thoughts about the sabre cat. Keep going!
