Here I am in 2025, making an account just to leave a review on a post that is over 10 years old. I don't even know if you'll get this but, I have to say, this is the best fanfiction I have ever read. And I'm not saying this lightly. This is the most realistic take I've read so far, and I've read a lot. I was immersed from the beginning to the very end. I was so relieved to see that you made this one to wrap it up (I assume at least) I have one question that is just eating at me, does she end up going back to Chris? Or did she find a new home with Sheva? You'll probably never see this and I'll never know the answer, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this and was able to experience this amazing story. Good job onionbelt.

I know this is a year old but... Just wanted to give you some love regardless. This was really damn good! You did a great job of showing how lost Jill felt, even that little line about Jill wanting to go to Paris like everyone else. Then her casual brush with alcoholism and thoughts of suicide (the part about no eating a bullet). And the pacing through her period of doing nothing, and the gradual progression her relationship with Sheva was wonderfully done. Anyway, I'm gonna check out the rest of your stories. Hope you're still gonna be writing.

Hmm, where to start...this thing is so good I have a million complements rushing through my head.
First off, I love the depth of character displayed here. I think it's difficult to write a Oneshot (I'm assuming that's what it is?) and maintain a balance of good pace as well as the overall depth of the story. I certainly enjoyed the opening portion of this fic, as it lays the foundation for a realistic world that this takes place in. The fact that's written in present tense helps to preserve a constant pace that makes it feel as though I'm riding shotgun with Jill, so to speak.
Perhaps this is a strange thing to say, but I'm glad this is Lime and not Lemon. I really feel that the depiction of sex wouldn't be the all important scene here. There are a number of fics - my own included - that seem to rush towards the sex scene and then go all out when it eventually gets there, but the main body of the fic just...lacks something. This certainly isn't the case here.
Anyway, before I end up writing you an essay, allow me to say that this fic has inspired me...and is bloody awesome. GJ ^^
