Well, I feel a bit stupid, but this is the first chapter I've read while actually listening to the song you provide. I quite like the experience, though, it gave a really interesting flavor to reading the events, it certainly had a sort of chase-like quality to it. I think I need to go re-read the other chapters while listening to their songs. :P
And bravo on a well-executed violence scene, the whole sequence was exciting and believable, and I definitely haven't read it before. Daxter spitting in Erol's face was of course epic. Gotta love him.
I know you said you weren't satisfied with this chapter, but I actually loved it :3 As well as the whole story, I don't believe I've mentioned that, I've just been lurking, lol. Keep writing, you do it well!

Oh poor Daxter! But what about Widgit?! And those images Jak got?! Why must you end the chapter like that?! *waits eagerly for the next one*

Even though I know it's all going to turn out alright, it still makes me cringe. I feel sorry for everybody! Poor little scared Widget, poor beat up Daxter, poor freaking out Jak. Wait, I don't feel sorry for young Samos. Or Torn. Well, almost everybody.
Here's to hoping that Widget is recovered soon, and Jak and Dax can calm each other down after all they just went through. Tough read, but a good one nonetheless!

I know I've said this before, but I'll just say it again: you are one seriously multi-talented writer. The insane action in the beginning of this chapter is, personally, better than an action movie for me. So much detail. And you let Daxter show his tough stuff, too, which is definitely appreciated. He'd be dead already if he wasn't tough, and seeing him in action, even if he's still (justifiably) a little freaked out is satisfying.
And the fluff at the end. My lord, the fluff. Jak and his horn-fondling purrs is so adorable, I can't even. I love how they interact, Dax always reassuring no matter what happens. You make my little heart go all soft and melty. Excellent update!

I think this is my favorite chapter so far, and not just for the hot chair sex. Although it is awesome chair sex.
The conflict with Keira, I knew it was coming. Knew it. And you handled it so nicely. Also, I love how Jak asks Daxter to lead him like that, for a change. Sometimes Jak just needs to let go and let someone else take care of things. The redhead sure came through in that area, didn't he? There's hope for these two yet.
This is currently my favorite story in any fandom, so you'll know. Any time you need a cheerleader, or a beta, or some virtual cookies to keep you going, you know where to find this fangirl.

I've read this chapter several times now, and I just love the pace at which the story is progressing. It's not too fast, and it's not drug out unreasonably. It's sweet in parts (their kisses, gaah, so cute!) but there's also uncertainty and a little angst (Dax not knowing at first what Jak's reasons for kissing him were). And Jak launching him into the pond at the end... hilariously evil.
You're doing an excellent job establishing their romantic relationship believably based on their already tight BFF relationship. It gives me the warm squishies inside.

I'm so sorry I slacked. I admit it. Please find it in your heart to forgive me!
A-hem. Here's where I again praise your decision to follow the game storyline. Little Jak and Kor gave me the shivers. And remembering the plasmite bombs made me shake my fist in fury at Daxter. That was so hard to beat! A-hem again. The shower scene is awesome. I can't think of more to say than that. You really nailed Daxter's desperation on the head. I'm glad Jak was able to step past his insecurities to give his partner that release. Looks like they both needed it.
Stoked for chapter five! Stoked like you wouldn't believe.

Oooo, nicely done... And Jak, you are not Han Solo! There is a better response to "I love you" than "I know", though I get the distinct feeling there's a reason jak didn't say it back. Maybe I'm just crazy. I can't wait to read what happens next!
