Although this has been written in 2009 (and it's 2011 now), I still had to come and join the flock of awed readers. I agree with the general praise given by previous reviewers, but I want to add something that really sealed the deal for me in this story. You see, a lot of writers tend to fill these Renaissance-era stories with anachronisms. Characters talking in VERY modern English, or places/objects appearing in the story when they did not exist (at least in that form) during the Renaissance era. But your writing fit the times perfectly on par with what we are presented in the games. All in all, brilliant work, and I'll just find the end of the queue of people requesting more of this pairing from you. Good job!

This was an absolutely fun and enjoyable read! Really, that's all I can say since you've nailed the two in a realistic (and humorous, more points for that) way along with it gradually building. Not too fast at all so thank you~ I hope you do more with these two.

Hooooly crap! Wow! I just finished AC2 and thought "you know what would make my day? Ezio/Da Vinci slash." And yours was the first one I read. And now the pairing seems almost obvious. Amazing, literally perfect story of life, friendship, and love. Thank you for this.

you know the missing the hug i missed it to in the game and i was so sad that i missed it that i started a new game and went through it all again just so i could hug Leonardo and when i did hug him i felt like i bet the game i even wanted to call people and tell them that i man ezio and leonardo hug i was so happy. anyways lol wonderful story and if only it had really happened that would be a plot twist in the game and so cool for us slash fans.

Indeed, Ribena is the very elixir of inspiration. I remember thinking, in playing the game, that Leonardo looked disappointed at the non-hug. I could never have made anything so brilliant as this out of it, though. I like the slow progression of Leonardo's feelings very much because it has the natural, painful, awkward feel of real life to it.

Honestly, I envy your writing style. Another perfect one, and it's so full of *want* and *need* and *yearning*... it makes the heart ache. Loved the end, I actually had tears in my eyes. Can't wait to play the game now. Thanks a lot for this. :)

Good Lord! Not enough! It is very strange for me to find a work of fanfiction that I cannot find anything to critique, but you have done it, milady. Okay, so there was one point where you switch from third person to first and it's very, very slightly awkward, but that's almost not worth mentioning. This story is beautiful. So lovely. You write very eloquently. I could feel Leonardo's pain, his frustration, his love and awe. The characters were believable and never once out of character. You did a wonderful job portraying them. And the plotting of the story was well done. It flowed and never felt too slow or too rushed. The love was very tender and not unfittingly smutty and out of place. And as much as I would adore to read more, it actually felt conclusive. It wrapped up very nicely. Not that I'm saying don't write more (Please do!). Dio Mio, I am in love with this story.

Bravo! Amazing! I am so glad I'm not the only yaoifan that got an idea about this pairing. I absolutely love how you captured the personalities and mannerisms of the characters. You made Leonardo perfect, and even retained some of the cuteness to him that I love seeing in game. Showing Ezio's evolution was also well done, and...damnit it all...I wish this story was the true outcome. You just handled everything so naturally, that it would be easy to believe in it happening. The kissing scenes were perfect, not corny or feeling like its overdone. And timed so well as to get the right jolt of joy when the reader is reading it. And you also really did good with the lifestyles of the characters. Am I repeating myself yet? lol. Anyway, I hope you don't mind, I'm copying and saving this onto my computer to be placed among my personal fave reads. Again, thank you so much for writing a beautiful story of these two. You really captured what I was looking for when I thought I'd look and see if there were any Ezio/Leonardo fics up. =)

I loved it and i would love to see more... there needs to be more leo and ezio fics.... and i know exactly how you feel... when i was playing i thought it was going to be just another scene but then there was the contextual thing to give him a hug and i didn't... i paniked.... i felt so bad... and my best friend ave me hell for it... but i am so glad to see this story was made. maybe do one that is more them in the bedroom.... like a pwp.... it would be hootttttt...

but other wise i loved the story and would defiantly read more
