May I say that I thought this story was excellent. I'm a big fan of the Emil/Marta pairing and I'm glad to have found this fic. I realyl like how it takes an interesting, though sad turn to Emil and Marta's apparent happy ending. I imagine that Emil-Ratatosk would eventually have to deal with Marta's death, but I always imagined it taking place 60+ years later after she dies of old age. It would be hard at first, he would stil have a human lifetime of memories to look back on. Here, however, that is taken away from him. I also thought that you depicted Emil-Ratatosk's feelings and through processes quite well, considering the circumstances. Your writing in this fic is great overall with a good pace and no serious grammar errors that I noticed.
While I admit that it's a bit corny to bring Marta back (through the power of love nonetheless), I still rather liked it. After losing Marta so early, I'm glad that he'll get to be with her for the rest of eternity. I do so love a happy ending. I also liked the small and subtle bits of adult activity. It leaves quite a bit to the imagination. You can't read straightfoward smut all the time, you know?
So like I said, this was a terrific fic. I love it!
