This was a damn good read. You got the mermaid anatomy correct and im just guna assume that Zoras are cool like that but, hell yea! Also an easy explanation for Orlin turning into a mernaid "Fo reel" is that in LoZ:MM It was only "a Link" who was able to turn items of clothing/accessories into transmutations and such. Orlin is still technically A link so it affected him to. The voice loss was possibly dew to his bodies natural shock of realizing, "Oh shit! im not normal!" so it kinda just lost a function or two. Well if you ever need some kind of way to explain how something can happen in a story to make it more credible just send me a line and I will see if I can get back to you.

OMG Please I know you meant this fic as a one shot, but I think you should continue this fic. It has so much potential especially the way you ended that.
