I know. And I understand. Unfortunately that is not going to stop me from brainlessly fangirling you in hopes that you update more, because I am just THAT starved for Edgeworth/Gumshoe. ^.^

So, you know, good luck with life.

Hello! This review will be quick because I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment, but I just had to let you know how much I enjoyed this chapter. It is short, yes, but real life can and does get in the way very often. I'm glad to have even this!

Maya is absolutely priceless, and so, so perfectly written. Gumshoe is cute as always, and Edgeworth is starting to loosen up... and not a moment too soon! (laughs)

Keep it up! I look forward to more chapters as time and inspiration permit.

Best,
Delia

It was short. And I'm sorry T_T;. Unfortunately, life is very hectic around now (and I almost forgot about this fic in the meantime... er, ha ha...) My bad!

Dear DeliaArc,

Thank you very much for your review! I am very glad that you enjoyed the story, and I'm doubly thankful that you opted to write a review to it. Feedback is extremely inspiring for me, since it helps me focus on whether or not I'm proceeding well. I do try to be as in-character as possible, but it's difficult by the mere virtue of the fact that I'm writing something that just plain didn't happen. That concern doesn't only follow for the main two, of course, since I really love everyone in Phoenix Wright, so I try to present everyone in an honest fashion (like Maya, who seems to get neglected in stories like this!)

As for one of your other comments, regarding pacing, I'm really pleased that you enjoy it. I know it's not exactly the vogue around here to start off so slowly, but I think that it's important to the characterization. It's hard enough that I'm doing a non-canon pairing without the added problem of trying to make them jump into a full-fledged relationship in a thousand words! Though don't wonder: eventually, the pairing will become evident, I just don't want to rush it (since I don't think that -they- would.)

I also like Edgeworth paired with Phoenix, but there already seems to be plenty of fanfiction for that, so I thought that, at least as an introductory, I'd help bolster the presence of Gumshoe/Edgeworth around here :). I'm pretty easygoing as far as pairings go in general, though. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you plan to continue reading, and I'll be very happy to hear what you have to say when the opportunity presents itself :D.

PS- Also, thanks for letting me know about the review setting! For some reason, I thought the default would be to allow it... shows what I know!

Hello,

I glanced through this story a while back (curse my short attention span!), before I had even thought of playing Phoenix Wright... now that I have finished at least the first one, I came back to check it out again. Unsurprisingly, things make a lot more sense.

I suppose I should start by confessing that I'm a very intense Edgeworth fan, although I generally like him paired with Phoenix... still, Gumshoe has some very adorable puppy-dog appeal. Your writing is absolutely beautiful in terms of the way in which it's kept his character intact: he means well and he's such a great person, but he can never do anything exactly right... or, in the case of the antique furniture, even remotely right. :P Add to that Edgeworth, who's still trying to grasp the idea of good intentions but hardly ever bungles anything, and it's the original odd couple... and their adventures are hilarious. On the subject of characterization, Phoenix and Maya are also perfect, and the dialogue/thought monologues are great, and full of one-liners that still have me laughing as I type this ("Phoenix: -I- sleep on my couch"... priceless).

I'd also like to express my appreciation that you didn't throw Gumshoe and Edgeworth into bed, or a janitor's closet, or the back seat of a car, halfway through chapter one. The pacing of this story is very refreshing, and demonstrates a maturity of craft that, unfortunately, is all too rare in Fanfiction. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm enjoying the opportunity to ease myself into your vision of the characters, to see them relate to each other as people before (or perhaps instead, despite this being "Adult Fan Fiction") they come to relate to each other as lovers.

I happened to see in your reply to another reviewer that you're having difficulty turning out updates as quickly as you'd like, which I suppose is to be expected, given the length of your chapters... I mention this because I'm the same way with, well, everything. :P I suppose that's the long way around to telling you that I do intend to keep reading your story, and leave a review if I get the chance, but I certainly won't be winning any trophies for promptness in that task.

Thank you for writing this-- it really is enjoyable, and you should be proud of it. I can't wait until the next chapters are posted.

Best, Delia

P.S. You may want to enable anonymous reviews-- by default, it seems that they're disabled, and you might get more feedback if people were able to indulge their laziness, and review without signing in. :)

Thank you kindly :). The story is still in progress; sorry for the lack of updates recently. I am a college student and I do not have as much time as I might wish in order to write fanfiction.

I like it. Pheonix's thoughts totally reminds of the game. And the stuff Maya says! ^.^ And of course Edgeworth/ Gumshoe is completely awesome... *giggle*
