Your sense of pacing is nice, and the banter between the trolls in the first chapter was amusing. Strong characterizations--you've definately given a complete image of Jaera and Zarang as unique and interesting characters, and their situation is endlessly interesting. Great story, amusing situations in each of your chapters, and the friction and tension is fantastic. Keep up the great work. :)

I want you to know that I've been an AFF lurker for a couple years now, but I finally created an account just to review this piece. You are an amazingly talented writer and I am absolutely desperate for the rest of this story! You make the reader sincerely care about these characters, as though they were people that we knew.

Very impressive! I love the character interaction in this story, and the way you write is plain and, dare I say, enchanting. You've definately earned an author-fan here.
