Wow. I'm really impressed with this story. Not only do you write incredibly, smooth and flowing dialogue between the characters, but you have a great command over the descriptions, without making them gaudy and over-the-top. The character's themselves are impressive. Link is just as oblivious and passionate as I've always imagined him to be, and his inner turmoil is absolutely right on target with his personality.
Dark Link is just, woooow. A very interesting concept. Most DLxL fics feature him with his own physical body, but I love the way you truly make him a part of Link. It makes perfect sense that he'd be given free reign in the Shadow Temple. But anyways, Dark Link in this story, for a character who has no lines in the game and is only present for...like ten minutes...is so amazingly believable. His snarky comments, his deep reflections considering the nature of darkness and shadows, and his conversations with Link...ugh, they've all reduced me to fangirling mush.
This last chapter was my favorite. If only for that one minute where Link was more interested in some Sheikah plaque than in the possibility that he could see his…er…“friend.” I’m not sure if it was your intention, but that scene made me laugh. If I was Dark Link, I would have been a little more than pissed. Oh Link, you loveable dummy.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t so fond of the last part of the chapter, like Dark Link’s sudden, spontaneous violent nature. He’s been guiding Link throughout the past three temples, has a corporeal form in the Shadow Temple, and abruptly decides to beat the crap out of Link a few hours into the temple when the Hylian can see him? I’m guessing it has to do with Dark Link’s more sadistic side…but it still seems like a really quick transition from begrudgingly helpful to hungry predator, or something like that.
It also could be that I was still sore about reading about Navi. I have mixed feelings about her. Annoying, yes, but definitely a large interval of Link’s life, which you’ve implied in your story. But if Navi really was Link’s best friend, and that important to him, wouldn’t it take a little more than a few kisses (the fangirl in me thanks you, by the way) to distract him from the fact that Dark Link just dewinged his fairy? I feel like Link would be a little more determined to rip out Dark Link’s throat.
ANYWAYS, it’s your story (beautifully written), and your interpretation of Link and Dark Link’s characters. I’m just throwing in my two cents. I’m VERY excited for the next chapter (oooh, Sheik, make a move on Link…jealous, possessive Dark Link is the love…) and I can’t wait until you post it. Sorry for such a long review!

*sniff* I love it. There were "What's going to happen next?!" parts and Navi bashing (a personal favorite). I was concerned at first about the lack of the Lense of Truth, and for a moment, I thought you beat the game without it.
